Had an amazing stay that lasted a week. The beach access literally right at the hotel’s doorstep is for sure the main selling point. The waters are crystal clear and shallow for a long stretch, meaning it’s quite a safe beach for kids. There are plenty of beach clubs that stretch either side of the hotel if a relaxed vibe is not your pace. The food on offer was amazing and the staff were really polite/helpful. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see Greece at its best!

There are so many positives about Ammon Zeus… the Aegean and sea view is everything, with the lapping of waves 24/7 and crystal-clear waters to swim in. Expect a warm welcome and really lovely staff. If I’m honest, it wasn’t quite the 5-star experience I expected. Marketing photos are probably from the refurbishment a few years ago and furnishings are now looking a little tired. Beds were really comfortable though, however towels and robes were thin and the worse for wear. Little things like this make all the difference when you’re pitching yourself as 5-star. Book at the right price (we had a BA deal) and you’ll be delighted with this slice of paradise in Halkidiki. PS would have been great if Greco’s restaurant was open in the evenings as an option to the evening buffet.

Very disappointing. No way is this a 5 * we have stayed in less * and this was disappointing, certainly no wow factor. Having said this, when we checked in, we had been upgraded to a sea view room. Staff were all absolutely brilliant, so I couldn't fault that. Food was delicious but only ever warm, and I love my food to be hot. Sun beds were plentiful and set out on the beach but when the sun moved behind the hotel the whole of the Beach area and chairs around the hotel were in the shade, probably because of the time of year. It was then difficult to find a sun bed around the pool as there weren't many. Hotel pool bar was closed without explanation for a couple of days but on enquiry with reception we were told it was because of the weather so on days when the sun didn't shine we had to sit in the hotel and use the main bar. Entertainment was OK, but the guitar player was absolutely brilliant, and we had a great night. The luggage room on the last day was non-existent. We were told to leave our cases in reception and they would be moved by the staff. However, when we returned, we found our cases in the main dining room. Sorry to say, but this hotel has been awarded too many stars.

We stayed for 1 week in October with our 2 teenagers in the penthouse suite. The room was clean, modern and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean.
The hotel is perfectly situated at the beach, with a comfortable gazebo.
The pool is also heated in October , one of the reasons we chose this hotel.
The service and employees were excellent ... all of them! Thank you.
The hotel is located near shops and small restaurants, all reachable by foot (although in October many shops are closed).

Initially impressed visually on first impressions. That was quickly forgotten by the charges added to the tourist tax, even though used a card with no fees.. it seems the hotel slap an extra charge on. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived so had some lunch at the pool bar with friends..again fees added to our bill. Very disappointing Finally our room was ready, we had upgraded to sea view.. and what a view it was, although disappointed with the lack of storage space and who doesn’t put charging points beside both bedsides tables? Didn’t bother unpacking due to lack is space Disappointed on how small the bathroom Was and when you used the walk in shower more water ended up outside the shower on the bathroom floor.. also plug didn’t work in sink Could have done with bigger bath sheets, very sml. No robes provided either. had to contact reception to come a fix the safe, which was a swift and speedy remedy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant dinning area , wasn’t much seating area inside , as with friends had to sit outside.. all being the hotel had covered the area with temporary walls to make into a room. However this room was very cold we had to eat our food wearing our coats.. was offered a blanket by the hotel staff. Which came in handy to use as a cushion for the plastic kitchen chairs used in the restaurant. Food was Luke warm & required a few mins in the microwave, you had to ago a member of staff to do this as it was in the kitchen. Huge queues for the 2 coffee machines at breakfast. Again very cold at breakfast in out door seating area.. overall disappointed and wouldn’t visit again

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and beautiful with amazing views, close to the main square of Kallithea, and literally right on the beach, which was incredibly beautiful with crystal-clear waters and golden sand. The umbrella with the sunbeds are available for free for the residents of the hotel. The staff were very polite, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious and offered plenty of variety. The only thing to be aware of is the steep uphill path and the stairs leading to the square, which might be difficult for someone with mobility issues or people of older age.
