This was our eighth visit to MW Lemnos Village and we can’t wait to go back. The rooms are spacious with a large balcony and most seem to have a sea/sunset view. The choice of food was, as usual, outstanding, with much of it freshly cooked outdoors on a massive barbecue. The beach was even more sandy than we remembered and the water sports are very well, and safely, organised. We attended a Lemnos wine-tasting one evening in the bar, which we can thoroughly recommend. Last but definitely not least, we should give a mention to all the staff, who were, as usual, exceptional.

Incredibly tired hotel. Stinky bathrooms, sewage smells on sea, cracking chairs, murky pool and lacklustre and scant staff. Tennis scene was one shy member of staff, broken and unswept courts. Bikes in bad repair. Ski instructor had bad English and unenthusiastic and ran 30-40 min behind. Pool had old water bottles by it and plasters. No life guard. Kid club staff not bothered or enthusiastic. Other years have hear singing and chanting and high jinks. Food still good!

This was our fifth visit to Mark Warner Lemnos. We’ve always loved the location, the food and the wonderful team led by the brilliant Sue Thomas — thank you to everyone who helped make previous trips such fun and so memorable. This year, though, a lack of flexibility and empathy from the Kids Club head, Zoe, turned what should have been another five-star holiday into a two-star struggle. Mark Warner sensibly assigns children to Kids Clubs' groups based on age, which generally works well — you wouldn’t want a nine-year-old mixed in with toddlers, nor would it be appropriate for an 11-year-old to be placed with the Indys (ages 15–17). However, the 11/12–13/14 age range is certainly a grey area. At this stage, some children are more mature and prefer to socialise with older peers, while others feel more comfortable with kids their own age. My daughter, aged 12 years and nine months, has always enjoyed the company of girls slightly older than her. When we arrived this year, the Surfers group (ages 11–12) consisted of only five boys and no girls (other girls had been assigned to the group but hadn’t turned up on that first morning). Given this, and the fact that we saw there were only two girls in the next group up (Bondi, where no boys had turned up), my daughter decided to join them (she had moved up in previous years without any issue – and still remains in contact with many of the friends she made there). Only a few months younger (five in one case; 11 in the other) than the other two girls, my daughter got on very well with them and was thrilled to tell me at lunch how much fun she’d had. So I was shocked when she returned to our room later, near tears, saying she had been asked to leave the group. She found the situation both embarrassing and humiliating. It was especially disappointing that this was addressed directly with my daughter by the Bondi team leader rather than involving me in the discussion. The handling lacked sensitivity and fell well short of the standards I'd expect from anyone working with children. When I approached Zoe, the head of childcare, I was shocked to be met not with understanding but with dismissiveness. She was brusque and insistent that there was no flexibility whatsoever. Her explanation was that the Bondi group was ‘full’ (as I understand it, 12 kids had signed up) and could not accommodate any more members. If she wanted to be in Kids Club, my daughter would have to return to the Surfers group, which she was very reluctant to do. The result was a frustrating and totally avoidable situation. My daughter remained friendly with the two girls from Bondi outside of Kids’ Club, yet was barred from joining them during daily activities. This really upset our whole holiday, meaning my daughter had no close ‘buddies’ to hang around with during the day, no waterfront activities to participate in and spent most of her time on the sun lounger by the pool feeling excluded. To make matters worse, I was later informed

I've just come back from a fantastic week in Lemnos ! I can't fault the resort - I think it's the best holiday I've had. The hotel is a lovely authentic Greek hotel with so much to do. I did cycling, fitness classes and was able to use all of the amazing watersports equipment on offer. The staff are amazing and a special shout out to the amazing core instructor who is from the island who really looked after me during the classes. The food is fantastic and I have to say I felt so relaxed and chilled the whole week. Myrina is definitely worth a visit as the shops and bars are fantastic. I would 100 % go again !!!

Booked with Mark Warner. Lovely setting and wonderful sunsets viewed from the outdoor restaurant. Food excellent - some of the best experienced on an "active"/beach club holiday. Of concern was the amount of food that was left over at the end of meals! Range of water sports available for inclusive price, though tuition was not as good as usual on these holidays. However the beach area was run efficiently and safety was good. . Unfortunately, the opportunities for road and off road biking were very limited and rides classified as "easy " certainly were not for a beginner! One tennis court (of the three) was in a dangerous condition with the Astro Turf rutted. However, better to play on that than the other hard resin courts! Good range of fitness classes but limited range of equipment. The fitness staff were enthusiastic, fully trained and competent. With all activities no pressure to participate! A variety of villas were available, though most required access via a range of steps. The villas mostly have lovely views over the bay. The villa we stayed in was comfortable, though the shower over the bath leaked ( others had the same problem) which wasn't repaired. The bathroom needed serious renovation as dated and tired. The staff were primarily from Greece which was good, with most able to communicate in English. Manager and senior staff were English and were enthusiastic and competent. The staff/guests relationship created was excellent. A very relaxing, almost laid back, hotel.

This was our first Mark Warner getaway. My friend and I tagged along with our more adventurous companion, we were looking for: beach, sunshine, and pure relaxation, not ones for the sporting itinerary! If you're into activities, it’s brilliant. But if you are looking for a bit of night life, it can feel a bit repetitive. The resort is pretty remote, with just a couple of beach bars nearby. A 10-euro trip to Myrina is worth it for lovely dining spots and some local charm. The resort itself was smaller than expected, but our room was spacious with a decent balcony although it too hot to use without shade (no umbrella provided much needed !). A word of warning the resort is on a steep hill, some rooms (500 to 600) are a massive incline and quite frankly I would be fuming if I was given one of those. We requested a lower room before hand by emailing MW direct they were great and we had room 203 which was an ideal spot. Housekeeping was great and the air conditioning worked well, the TVs were all in Greek and wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi, so no Netflix bingeing in the evenings which was frustrating given everything seemed to die down at 10pm ish. Wi fi worked ok everywhere else even on the beach so that was good, Foo is a buffet, and its self service, it was excellent, a great variety including a tasty BBQ and a wide range of desserts. Drinks, on the other hand, were overpriced 24 euros for a basic rosé and 9 euros for two pineapple juices! Go to the local shop and you can get a decent wine for 7 euros and a cartoon of pineapple juice for 1.50. Cheese and ham toasties at the bar are very thin and they charge 5 euros for them, a can of coke is 2 euros, I thought this was a rip off but seems to be the way of the world now. Staff were consistently warm and welcoming definitely a big plus. The entertainment? Not so much, there were awkward salsa nights, a forgettable “80s/90s” disco that didn’t live up to the name, and a quiz. They’d do better with a decent playlist, maybe a cocktail workshop or a beachside cinema night. Despite the quiet evenings and the daily "what activities have you done today?" interrogation, we had a lovely, restful time and returned a few pounds heavier. Apparently, Rhodes is the place to go for a livelier crowd, maybe next time!

Excellent holiday Manager Sue and her staff do a brilliant job of running an excellent hotel and activities centre. Nothing was too much trouble and Sue was always involved with the guests Activities staff helpful and happy Great food every night with wonderful sunsets Sailing bay excellent with primarily cross shore wind offering good dinghy saving in morning and often planing conditions for windsurfing in the afternoon Can’t wait to come back

Lemnos Village is our absolute favourite place. We went there three times last year, and we’re lucky enough to be going twice this year as well! There’s just something so special about the atmosphere, the people, and the peaceful vibe that keeps drawing us back. It really feels like a home away from home.

Overall another good MW holiday, top marks for all the hotel staff, housekeeping restaurant. Food was good as always lots of choice. However there was a noticeable shortage of MW staff on the beach this time. James the beach manager does a fantastic job and works really hard himself to ensure the guests have the best experience. But the team was lacking in staff which meant waits for and limits on boats on the water due to lack of safety boat cover and in order to comply with their insurance. At times it was operating a 1 in 1 out policy. Boats that were wanting to come in were made to go back out as not enough beach staff to land the boat. Not all the beach staff have James work ethics. We also heard other guests saying cycling was understaffed. Not really what you expect on this type of activity holiday. Hopefully MW management will address this issue for next year.

We have just returned from a week in Lemons as a couple with university age daughter. Great location just 25 minutes from the airport. Island is quiet and unspoilt. Interconnecting rooms booked with elevated view across the bay to the wonderful sunsets and grandstand position for the sailing area (should have brought binoculars). Room clean and tidy but in need of refurbishment (we were in ones that were billed as refurbished (?!). Bathroom tired. Bed comfortable but pillows and duvet definitely showing signs of it nearly being the end of the season. Cleaned daily although it would have been nice if the cleaner hadn’t turned up at 8.30 every day ! Towels a little threadbare and bath mats bleach stained and unravelling. Shampoo, shower gel and soap provided. No conditioner or body lotion. One pool towel each, again a bit threadbare but appreciated. Aircon very efficient. Pegs on the driers on the balconies. Activities :- Loved the bikes both road and mountain. Plenty of both. Tom and Ben very helpful and keen to tweak with odd minor issues. Lots of guided tours should you wish to ride in company. Good quality roads. Can’t speak for tennis as not our thing but seemed lively. Didn’t participate in the Tipsy Tennis ! Classes - plenty of choice. Outdoor yoga and Pilates a joy in the evening breeze. Aqua aerobics silly fun in the heat. Didn’t try anything more energetic. Watersports - daughter completed RYA 1 with Will and thoroughly enjoyed it. Only one other person on the course so practically private lessons. Plenty of kayaks and SUPs. Husband had a foil board lesson which was fun but sadly low winds prevented him from going out again. Windsurfing equipment plentiful with sails showing signs of end of season fatigue. Lots of people enjoying lessons. Beach staff really proactive helping with launching and landing. Straight into the water to assist. All pleasant and chatty. Rescue boats buzzing around constantly happy to bring you back in if you’d had enough or the wind had dropped off. Dinghies - good range & in great condition. Always something available even when the racing was on. Pool a perfect temp for swimming. Same depth throughout (1.4m). Really quiet. A joy to swim lengths. Never any issue with securing a sun bed. Toilets in childcare adjacent to pool in need of refurb and showers in the building very dated and cramped. Food was spectacular. Evening meals are buffet style taken outside. Daughter is a veggie and she was spoilt for choice. Not just the usual veggie burger. Fresh choice of salads, bbq meats, sea food etc. small selection for dessert but more than adequate and supplemented with a choice of ice creams. Better value to order carafes of wine than bottles. We all very much looked forward to 7.30 every night. Breakfast choice very good. Hot and cold and plenty of fresh fruit. This is taken upstairs. The area is a little cramped and gets quite busy. Slightly precarious with small, loose children and hot food
