Absolutely loved this beautiful small island of Poros and Niki's Village was perfect for us in every way. Arrived by ferry to the stunning port of Poros from Piraeus in just over an hour, hopped in a taxi to Niki's village taking about 10 minutes which was only 5euro! Friendly welcome, given a large bottle of water and shown to a nice room with a fabulous view over the pool and sea with a large balcony. Don't expect 5* facilities, this is a small family run hotel which has immaculate rooms, with tidy gardens, a decent sized pool and the best breakfast with freshly cooked breads, pastries, crumble (!!), fruits, yoghurts, local meats, cheeses and olives. No issues with sunbeds (unfortunately no big fat mattresses but hey, you can't have everything!) and the towels are a big rough but honestly, it's no big deal. The beach is around a 10/15 minute walk away but plenty of other beaches if you have a quad bike or get a taxi. If you're looking for that traditional Greek taverna by the waters edge, then literally 5 minutes walk is Aura Cafe Bar - perfect for sunset cocktails or a morning coffee. A good 20 minute walk brings you to plenty of tavernas, bars, shops and some exquisite yachts on the waterfront! From here you can also catch the ferry to Hydra which takes around 40 minutes (great for a day trip; a small island). We also hired a quad bike to do some exploring - beware the roads are pretty steep in areas. There was also a great free bus which runs around the town! Really handy. Poros is not catering for the mass markets, it's traditional, has a wonderful charm and I would re-visit again in a heartbeat and I'd 100% recommend Niki's Village if you're wanting excellent Greek hospitality in a family hotel.

We have been coming to Greece for 40 years and this place is like Greece of old. Hospitality first class, Maria was lovely to chat to in the evening and everyone was very pleasant. Hotel however is tired and although we can see it being gradually modernised, bathrooms etc. it is still old and our room was not worth the money. Coco mat bed was comfy but sheets and pillows need replacing and we would have appreciated a bed made every day. Electrics in the kitchen are archaic with home made extensions and necessity to unplug the fridge to boil the kettle! Insufficient sockets, lights and large mirrors. We only stayed for breakfast on the first morning, like the 1980's no decent bread, fresh orange juice or any fruit. Spoonfruit, cold hard boiled eggs and grossly overcooked fried eggs and stale spanakopitta not acceptable these days. Perhaps the Peloponnese has moved on without this island! We also didn't appreciate this hotel is Jet2 affiliated so full of British holiday makers who always appear to resent independent travellers for some reason. Our biggest gripe was we only booked this hotel as it advertises parking but this doesn't exist as the only parking is on the public road that was always full outside the hotel mainly with mopeds, so we were forced to park our UK car on the sea front.

We visited Poros for the 1st time since 1991 and well what can I say. We had such a lovely holiday at the beginning of September. All staff were fabulous and so friendly. Big shout out to Maria, such a lovely lady and we were able to re-connect with her husband who we met back in 1991. It was such a surprise to find out that Maria was George's wife. Both such lovely people. Rooms were comfortable and had everything you needed, plus lovely and clean. Pool was fab and no fighting for sunbeds. Breakfasts were always fresh and plentiful , catering for every taste. Hotel is situated perfectly. Only a short stroll into Poros town and some lovely beaches that are within walkable distance. We hired a Quad bike for the day (just down the road Nikis village) and toured the whole island. Such fabulous scenery from all over the island and everything was so easily reachable. I would recommend getting a fresh lemonade from a small taverna up by Sanctuary of Poseidon. So lovely and homemade. Whenever I have left Poros I have always felt sad and this time was exactly the same but we will definitely be returning.

We stayed for 10 days at Nikis village. We had a minor issue with our original room, this was sorted extremely smoothly and we swapped to a fantastic room in no time at all. The breakfast was one of the best buffets I have had in Greece. The staff were friendly and so helpful. If I ever stay in wonderful Poros again, I will definitely try to book Nikis Village. Thankyou so much for making our stay so special.

We have just returned from Nikki’s village. What a gorgeous hotel with friendly staff and beautiful gardens and pool area. The rooms are clean and offer all that you’d need. Swimming pool was perfect size and not always too busy. Staff very attentive and helped us when we needed to move rooms ensuring we were happy and went above and beyond. A short walk into the centre and taxis via reception if needed. The breakfast was absolutely delicious so much choice and variety! Loved the mini granola pots. Our children had the best time enjoying regular milk shakes and ice creams. Thank you the whole Nikki village team. We will be back!

A perfect family run complex in a superb location. We were given a very warm welcome by Maria, who was the star of the show all through our holiday and was so keen to ensure it was a terrific trip - nothing was too much trouble. We had a ground floor garden room, which suited us, as it was very quiet and stayed cool all day. The homemade breakfasts are excellent and everything was clean and relaxing. Poolside service through the day was delivered by 2 charming girls, who kept everything looking lovely. To explore the island, I would recommend the e-bikes virtually next door and walking on quiet roads is easily accessible across the whole island. The Flying Cat to Hydra and Spetses makes great days out. After visiting different Greek Islands for 20 years, Poros and Niki's Village will be the one to draw us back.

We had the most beautiful 10nights stay at Nikis Village. Amazing staff who where all very friendly and caring with my little 09month old who was crawling (mopping) round the reception everyday and making a mess at breakfast time. Close to 2 different beaches and a lovely walk to the centre. We will be back one day. Sienna says Hi xxx
