Modular Bungalows with Heated Pool Artemis Greece in Artemida

My wife and I ended our 2 week trip in Europe here and we had mixed feelings. Overall, the service from the staff was top notch including reaching out ahead of time to ask if we needed a shuttle, for a surcharge of $30 cash and $40 card, from the airport. Upon arriving there, we were welcomed with a smile, a small snack and complimentary (home made) wine which we did not get a chance to try due to our busy schedule. The staff also provided us with a plethora of recommendations on places to visit near the bungalow and answered any questions we had! Our biggest complaints of this property came from the location and some amenities in our room. Although they are unable to dictate noise outside of their property, there was pretty constant dog barking as well as infrequent babies crying that made it hard to relax/sleep. The location was right next to a mini mart which was nice but the restaurants that were mentioned as close, did not seem walking friendly, especially at night. The city center of Athens was about 1 hour away therefore you have to spend more money via bus, metro or taxi to get there.

The smell in our room, specifically in our bathroom, was pungent and the shower frequently leaked after using it (whether or not we took quick or longer showers). We also were unable to turn on the AC in our room due to the remote not working. I think this is a decent place to stay if you are only spending a night there at the beginning or end of your trip but if you are looking for a true luxurious get away in or near Athens, I would explore other options as the pictures posted online are not the best representation of what you will be getting at the property.
