I write this review frustrated, minutes after the bell rang from the church right opposite the room. I am supposed to come and relax, not waking up at 7 a.m.
Besides that we had a call from the hotel a day before we arrived informing us that we had a room upgrade for free with a sea view. When we arrived we went to the room that as I said has a church and the town hall opposite so no sea view at all. The receptionist also let us know that they don't do breakfast even though we had asked for, but they waited for us to arrive to give that info. As I am writing this review the bell from the church rang twice more. I just want to go to quiet place to sleep.

Come to Ydra but stay elsewhere or you will regret it.

Due to weather conditions (it very lightly rained with calm wind) however the ferry was not running to hydra, they would not accommodate any sort of refund. I’m quite disappointed as i spent nearly $200 for my stay here and never had the opportunity to experience it. I paid for the full refund optio, though I can’t anticipate a ferry being shut down for an hour of rain.

Would absolutely recommend here. The staff was amazing. Really genuine and helpful. The location is top notch! Can walk from the ferry with suitcases no need for Porter/donkey. Right next to a grocery store if you need anything. Bed was a little too hard for my preference, pillows were nice. Room had a Nespresso machine, sink, and large mini fridge with freezer. Very spacious with nice high ceilings and great AC. The breakfast is at the sister waterfront hotel on the roof top. Was way better than I expected. Made to order and all included. Lovely. Just be prepared for stairs. The whole town is built into the hillside so this place does need good mobility.

We stayed at the double room with balcony
Arriving at the guest house there was no one there to see us at our room. We called a number that was there and they said someone would come in 2’.
It took them 15’ to send someone over.
The toilet seat was jammed and moving
The a/c was not working well and the days we stayed were cold days so there wasn’t a way to warm up the room.
I would not recommend this guest house when you visit the island.

Beautiful room with a balcony and sea view. Ideal location near the harbor. Spacious, simply decorated with plates and glasses. Very clean. Great place to stay!

We arrived to find the place deserted. There was a number to call at the reception but no one responded. We later learned this was the “summer number”. Finally we went to the shop next door and the shopkeeper called the owner who contacted the housekeeper. After wasting 3 hours of our half day in Hydra we finally got our room. It was very basic. Very expensive for what we got.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. There are several properties under the same management (you go to another one by the harbour for breakfast), and we felt this one suited us best. It's a convenient location, yet away from the majority of the noise, and the room was spacious and modern, yet in an older building. Breakfast, as mentioned, is in a different location, with an amazing view of the harbour, not to be missed. I don't really have any criticisms at all, when we had issues or questions, they were addressed, and sorted. This just felt like an all round good option, and we'd definitely stay here again.

Our only negative issue was the long walk and steep stairway to reach the breakfast area. It was in a different building 5 minutes away. Some may think it good morning exercise.

This place was quite lovely for a 3 star hotel. The check in service was friendly and helpful with navigating the island, and we had help with our luggage up the stairs (thank you!). Great location - very close to the port. We had a small balcony and the amenities were good - kettle and mini bar fridge to make a cup of tea in the morning. The bed was probably what made this place 3 star, but in saying that, for the price, I would recommend this place to stay.

Ioanna was a great host who provided great information and was a great host. The beach house was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was wonderful. The roof top breakfast was outstanding. The views from the roof top was excellent. Great location and excellent staff.
