Vardia in Kardamili

A magical place, overlooking the sea. Clean and well-kept down to the smallest details. The room is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchenette. We had a great time and hope to return!!!

Exceptional. Our room was large and had everything you could wish for (even an oven!) The hike to the gorge and Agia Sophia leaves from right out the back door, and the old city is just down a (rather long) flight of steps. The hotel overlooks the town and the ocean and is surrounded by olive trees.

As I write this review, a band outside of our door is playing Greek music for a group of enthusiastically dancing German tourists, though I gather this is not a regular occurrence. The owners did offer ahead of time to relocate us if we were bothered, which we are not.

The lady at the front desk (and, I think, the owner, based on her accent and native level of English proficiency) are British transplants, and are very helpful with directions and local knowledge. As an excellent bonus for a hotel in hiking country, there are local trail guides and topographical maps available to borrow at the front desk, along with bottles of sunscreen and even beach toys. I often write five star reviews for merely average locations, but this one truly warrants top marks.

Our stay at Vardia hotel was unforgettable! The room was super clean and had an elegant decoration. The view was spectacular and so calming! The owner and the staff were very helpful and friendly! The breakfast was the best choice to start the day. Walking from the path, down the hill, in 8 minutes you are in the high street of Kardamili, where all the taverns and shops are located. I would definitely recommend Vardia and of course I will visit again.

This place is amazing. It is the nicest place we have stayed at in Greece. The views are unbelievable. The rooms are very clean spacious comfortable. The walk to town is down 100 steps and you will have to walk up those steps to get back so keep that in mind. Otherwise you can drive. The only thing that is lacking is the breakfast. The breakfast sucks. the soft boiled eggs are sadly hard-boiled. No fresh juice just juice from a box. Not good quality. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Perhaps the best views we've had in Greece. All the 11 rooms have great views of the sea. It's a few block above the village so you can see very far in 180 degrees. Very friendly family owned managers. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. It can get cool at night in April, so they gave us an extra heater. We are in an apartment with an equipped kitchen. The breakfast included was good. Seaside restaurants are minutes away. I took an enjoyable 20 minute drive up the mountain behind the hotel and the views got better and better. Their is a high mountain peak covered with snow. We stayed 2 nights. But you could enjoy relaxing and exploring for a week.

Nice hotel on top of the hill. The personnel is very friendly and the rooms are excellent. We had a large room with a terrace including nice relaxing chairs. Ideal for the view and a nice walk into town. I would recommend this hotel as the best in town.
