Ostria Hotel Kakovatos Beach in Zakharo

We stayed at OSTRIA Kavovatos Beach this past July, and honestly, it was one of the loveliest hotel experiences I’ve had. We booked a sea-view room, which was a dream! Super spacious, with a great-sized bathroom, balcony with table, chairs and an airer for swimwear, all the necessary amenities, and excellent air conditioning (a must in the summer heat).

I can’t stress enough how spotlessly clean everything was, and how friendly, kind, and helpful the staff were. Breakfast is also served with a view of the sea, and a great variety of fresh, local, yummy products. Location couldn’t be better either – beautiful sandy beach literally in front of the hotel, with numbered umbrellas for each room, so you always have your spot.

Right opposite the hotel, there are two traditional tavernas (both excellent), and within a 5–10 minute walk you’ll find plenty more restaurants, bars, and mini markets. The centre of Kakovatos itself is charming, and the area is perfect for exploring Neda Waterfalls, Ancient Olympia, Kaiafas Beach, Voidokoilia Beach etc.

Although officially a 3-star hotel, this wonderful family-owned business follows 5-star standards. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, welcoming, and high-quality stay by the sea.

Good clean hotel right on the beach. Don't expect anything too fancy but the service was great. Everything we needed or asked for was provided by the courteous staff. Covered parking was available too. Good pick in a nice quite location.

A very inviting and conveniently located complex with adjacent beach access and views.
The room, its facilities and its maintenance by the gratious staff is beyond reproach.
Most of all is the pleasant and accomodating staff which invites a memorable experience.
Excellent value.

Very modern and very clean. Nice room. The hotel is very close to the beach. Free umbrella and deck chair. The room as even a balcony. Some restaurants are close by. I will come back again.

The location is ideal, just a few metres away from the sandy beach and close to various taverns. Our room was very clean and it had an amazing view to the sea and the garden. On the negative side, the room didn't have a double bed, just two single beds which were a bit uncomfortable. Also, we had some issues opening/closing the window...it was almost impossible to lock it and get the air-conditioning on, it was too firm.

Very clean hotel with spacious rooms (at least the one they gave us). There's a nice garden before the beach and private umbrellas and deckchairs. Breakfast also is nice and the sea-view balcony is the perfect way to start a new day.
Just by the hotel side there's a restaurant (a common Greek taverna) and the village ends here. A very nice place to relax for awhile: room-beach.restaurant.

My wife and I were delighted with our stay at the Ostria Hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea from our balcony. The staff was very courteous and provided excellent service. There was a great Greek Taverna right across the street from the hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling in that area.
