Nymfes Hotel in Kamarai

Immaculately clean rooms, warm hospitality from Mosha and her brother George. The hotel is a very short walk to the gentle beach - which is perfect for a morning swim. Its a 7-10 minute walk into town. Nymphes is a perfect blend of good value, very clean, cozy stylish rooms, with fabulously warm hospitality. The entire place was spotless! The breakfast offered great variety - including meats and freshly baked items from one of the bakeries.
We rented a car for two days to explore the island - otherwise everything we needed we found in Kamares - restaurants, sea, Nymphes' pool. It's a perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Nymphes feels like a labor of love, from the moment you walk in the door, to the hand painted ceramic tiles lining the pool. (Yes, there is an in-house potter, and you can see his works throughout the hotel - it's less of a hotel though, hotel feels so cold and anonymous - this felt like I was staying with an old friend)

Everything was great, but please don't sell accessibility. It wasn't. It was difficult, and if I didn't have my friends, I would left.

I have stayed here twice. Most recently in June 2019 and also in September of 2017. The hotel team is friendly, rooms are quaint and lovely. The breakfast is wonderful. The location is convenient. I highly recommend

Nymfes Hotel has a reputation for its customer service. What an understatement! Mosha, her brother Giorgos and their entire family opened their arms to us and made us feel like family. From the moment they picked us up from the ferry, they were incredibly warm, helpful (I had hurt my leg just before leaving for Greece and was in a boot) and informative. Nymfes is a small, quaint hotel on the outskirts of the port city, which has all the advantages of proximity, but removed just enough that you can enjoy peace and quiet in the early morning or late evening.

As many have written, the morning starts with a sumptuous and varied breakfast by the pool area...yogurt, fruit (especially fresh apricots from their own trees), local baked goods, eggs, meats etc. The rooms all have balconies which we enjoyed every morning and evening. And the pool (which is kept crystal clear) is a wonderful way to end a day at the beach.

Mosha and Giorgos are incredibly knowledgeable about Sifnos,and can help with most if not all of your needs...restaurants, taxis, local sights etc.

An added bonus was going to Mosha's husband's (Gianni) ceramic workshop and storefront. He's as wonderful as the rest of the family and a very talented potter. Naturally, we had to purchase some beautiful and unusual pieces from him.
We highly recommend Nymfes to anyone considering a relaxing stay in Sifnos and Kamares.
