Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. The front desk staff are very friendly and I highly recommend them. The breakfast isn't extensive, but it's still acceptable. The hotel is close to the train station, making it very convenient for commuting to Budapest.

We’ve just returned from a short stay at this hotel whilst attending the Hungary Grand Prix. Perfectly positioned for this purpose. Approximately £25 taxi either into the city or to the airport. The hotel is situated 200metres from the train station. There’s a large supermarket 1 stop along, and then it’s 3 more stops to the courtesy buses that take you to the Hungaroring track, or on into the city...

Basically everything was good, but unfortunately the high street very noisy. All staff members very kind and friendly, helpful. Breakfast was lovely. As a recommendation it's due some renewal.

Haven't stayed there, just parked next to it

Our room was very clean, decent, and beds where very comfortable. There was warm water and heating in our room. This hotel has good connection to the city center, only 20-30minutes away. On the other hand, breakfast could have been a lot better and WiFi connection could be stronger. Other than that, I have no complaints.

It is 3 star hotel near highway. I recommend it if you want to watch F1 because it's 15 min away from race track ( Hungaroring) 20 min to city center. Breakfast is convenient, starting as early as 4 AM.The hotel is just a short walk from the airport—less than 5 minutes across the parking lot.The only issue is that the heating in the room was a bit insufficient.

Aging property but very clean and fantastic staff.

Hotel was clean but the staff was not helpful. We needed to be picked up by the hotel shuttle from the airport, but the overnight attendee would not answer the phone. We had to pay for taxis from the airport. A/C in the room was broken, told the attendee and he told us to just open the window.

We had to go down for the AC controller. All rooms were open when we arrived. Covered were in the cabinet but only very small pillows. Tiny tv. Refrigerator yes but that’s pretty much it. No elevator. The shuttle was full - driver was really not in a good mood. He loaded the bags but did not offload them. We had food ordered, it was dropped off at the reception - no communication to us about it.

Nice place if you need to stay overnight near Budapest airport

Convenient location for early flights We had an early flight and did not want to wake up too early or travel a lot in the morning. We had a decent sized room, the receptionists were very kind and helpful. I saw the reviews and was slightly concerned but luckily could not find anything negative. We also used the shuttle from the airport and to the airport as well after dropping the hire car off.

What an oasis for recovering from the long flights from Washington, DC! The staff was friendly and here to help us enjoy our stay. The restaurant was a hidden gem with a menu that accommodated both me (who wanted to focus on local Hungarian foods) and my friend (who wanted a hamburger). They focus on using fresh foods and quality ingredients.

The room was great, with good heating. They also provided a shuttle service. After arriving on a late-night flight, I picked up my luggage and went to Zone 6 on the second floor. I called and the car arrived in about ten minutes. The breakfast wasn't really to my taste as a Chinese person; I just had some eggs, milk, and coffee.

It's not the most modern of hotels. Not air conditioning. Recommended bring a fan or two. No kitchens or bar. They do sell basic drinks from fridge and can make you a coffee. Bring spare towels. But as a basic base with easy access to trains and buses n local bars n restaurants. Cheap as chips

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. Modern, comfi room and very clean. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looked like a nice place to chill. The Hotel Chesscom has come a long way and improved/changed significantly in the last ten years. For guests who depart or land at Budapest Airport, the location as well ad the price/quality ratio is hard to beat. This hotel is perfect. On arrival there was a lovely clean smell around. The rooms were spacious. The windows opened which I like in a hotel. We had an overhead fan too which was silent. We had a mini fridge. This worked well. The beds were comfortable and the bedding very clean . The carpets were so clean.

I visited hotel twice. Fist time was fine and it was well organized. After my second visit, I noticed that the hotel has become quite neglected. The hygiene is very poor. I believe you can do much better.

The floor was dirty, and the bath towels weren't very clean either. The soundproofing was terrible. There was only one person working at the counter in the evening. It was very noisy with lots of people eating pizza and drinking near the entrance at night.

We stayed here for one night. The experience with the guest was very nice. Very welcoming staff. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and it was hard to sleep on a hot summer night. But M2 is close and that was very nice.

It was an okay experience. The room was clean, safe for my dust allergy. The landlord was helpful too. But there's a clear disconnect between the landlord and the receptionist. The later is clearly doing things only for money.. Both I and other guests had problems with him. And the toilet paper was also missing.. It's okay for a one time stay.

Really nice, cosy place to stay. Free parking on the street, Burger King restaurant 5 minutes of walk from the guesthouse. The only thing that may be disturbing for some people is the railway line nearby this Guesthouse and trains passing there all the night. Except this, everything is okay :)
