The room had almost no heating, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The hotel charged a cleaning fee per stay and a linen package fee per night, yet neither service appeared to be properly provided. The room was extremely humid and noisy. The bathroom was not clean, and taking a shower was inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, I would strongly recommend choosing a better accommodation, even if only staying for one night.

We stayed at the hotel for three days. Overall, it was decent for the price we paid, though we had mixed feelings about our stay.

Positives:
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided good suggestions on places to visit and answered all our questions. The room was suitable for a couple and generally comfortable.

Negatives:
The room was a bit noisy due to traffic from the nearby road. The bathroom was not very clean. Although the heater wasn’t turned on, we didn’t check with the staff since the room temperature was manageable for us.

The room was cheaper than other options, so i will not judge how it looked, but the thing that i didnt like was that there was no heating and it was cold in the room. Also, the entrance gate is locked at all times and it can only be unlocked by someone from reception, so if no one is there i had to wait outside. It was very annoying because the guy at the reception would always ask me what i want, like bro i have a room here for the last 2 days, why do you keep asking me this.

I think those who left 1 star reviews do not understand the concept of a 3 star hotel. This place is exactly what I would expect for 3 star. My brother who is autsitc and has ocd was nervous because of the reviews we read first and so we would like to clarify a few things we read! My brother gets extremely unwell when his ocd kicks off so we wouldn't have stayed if it wasnt clean! The staff were friendly and welcoming, available 24/7. They have a secure gate for guests which made us feel very safe. The room itself was lovely and clean, maybe a few bits of dust in silly places high up to reach , but the beds , bathroom and shower were all immaculately clean which is what matters the most. The beds themselves are comfy and clean with no stains or marks , there were definitely not any ants inside the place as other guests stated in the reviews. However there were a few running outside up the side of the building, so I imagine if u left food out and the patio doors open u may encounter this problem which would happen no matter where you stayed. The rooms were very quiet and we were not distrubed by traffic, planes or noise. The location is tucked away from the busy center, but has amazing transport links just a 2 min walk from the hotel so did not affect our stay at all. The bedding quality was on the thinner side, however was all lovely and clean and what I would expect for the price and did not affect our stay whatsoever. We paid 110 pounds roughly for 4 nights which we thought was a very very good price and it far exceeded our expectations! The shower was lovely and hot and powerful. If your looking for a romantic stylish night away, then maybe a 3* hotel isn't for you, but there is absoloutly nothing bad to say about this place. its perfect for travelling friends I would highly reccomend this place! No complaints from us at all :)

I recently stayed at Hotel Richter, and my experience was mixed. On the positive side, the reception staff were very friendly, and communication was excellent. They were always available to answer my questions and assist with my needs.

However, the rooms were old and in need of renovation. While they weren't particularly clean, they did have a strong smell of cleaning products, which was not very pleasant. It seemed like the hotel attempted to maintain a certain level of cleanliness, but the outdated decor and lack of thorough cleaning detracted from the overall experience.

Additionally, the parking fee of 10 euros per night is quite expensive compared to other cities. This extra cost didn't seem justified given the quality of services offered.

Overall, while the service at the reception was very satisfactory, the hotel should consider updating its rooms, improving its cleaning standards, and revising its parking rates to provide a better experience for its guests.

The room we were in was unbearable. On the first day there were insects on the floor. The room was unkempt as if it hadn't been cleaned but unfortunately the room wasn't clean. The heating doesn't work and I got sick because of it and had a cold. When you ask the staff why the heating doesn't work they say they don't know anything about it. The staff weren't very helpful. Please, dear guests, don't go there even if the prices are low but in the end it's important that the rooms are cleaned and well looked after.

Met my needs. Nothing special. Nothing bad.
A room is a room, and a shower is a shower.
I would visit again.

I won't even talk about how the rooms are uncomfortable, the reason I'm writing this is because of how immature and unprofessional two of the receptionists are.

Let me explain. This hotel is poorly designed in two ways : one, you can't enter and go out whenever you need to, the receptionist has to unlock the gate himself from the reception. If he doesn't, you are blocked. But there's a button you can push to warn him, a button which is not even easily accessible if you are leaving the building. And two : this hotel still hasn't had the bright idea to put door closers on the entrance's door (the one behind the gate). Therefore, you have to close it manually each time you pass it, unlike every other hotel in the world. I was working on a shooting when I was in this hotel, and one time I urgently needed something that was in my room for my work. So I rushed through the door, forgetting to close it manually (like many customer). I noticed it too late, when I was already in the stairs to get to my room, so I apologized to the receptionists and told them I was coming back immediately. One minute later, after I took what I needed for my work, I came back, running, apologizing again, saying "sorry" (this is important). I passed through the entrance door, not forgetting to close it this time, then I arrived to the gate door. It's blocked, so I pushed the button (the one that's not even easily accessible) to warn the receptionists that I need to go out, (something they obviously noticed when they saw me leaving). The door remained closed. I pushed again, the door remained closed. So I went back to the receptionists, asking them directly to open the door, not understanding why they didn't open it. One of the receptionists looked at me, with a provocative look, and ironically said... "sorry". The word I told them thirty seconds earlier. If you don't get it : they purposefully refused to let me out just because one minute earlier I forgot to close the door when I was in a hurry, and when I apologized for it. Seriously, how immature do you have to be to behave like this? How unprofessional do you have to be to treat your customers this way?

I wanted to complain about this to the boss of the hotel, but guess what? From what I understood the receptionist who pissed me off purposefully was the boss! If that's true it's even worse. That's why I'm writing this here.

In a nutshell : don't go to this hotel. By the way, all of the people I was with hated it.

I very rarely write a bad review but would strongly recommend to other travelers to NOT stay at this hotel. It’s definitely cheap for Budapest but still absolutely not worth the money. Depressing and pathetic rooms with an overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes and filthy floors and walls, terrible lighting, peeling furniture. The location is convenient and the staff were nice enough but it’s not tolerable even just to sleep in. We got a double room and it had two tiny wheeled beds instead of 1. Please look somewhere else.

Good enough for the price in Budapest.
