Reviews
Positives:
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided good suggestions on places to visit and answered all our questions. The room was suitable for a couple and generally comfortable.
Negatives:
The room was a bit noisy due to traffic from the nearby road. The bathroom was not very clean. Although the heater wasn’t turned on, we didn’t check with the staff since the room temperature was manageable for us.
However, the rooms were old and in need of renovation. While they weren't particularly clean, they did have a strong smell of cleaning products, which was not very pleasant. It seemed like the hotel attempted to maintain a certain level of cleanliness, but the outdated decor and lack of thorough cleaning detracted from the overall experience.
Additionally, the parking fee of 10 euros per night is quite expensive compared to other cities. This extra cost didn't seem justified given the quality of services offered.
Overall, while the service at the reception was very satisfactory, the hotel should consider updating its rooms, improving its cleaning standards, and revising its parking rates to provide a better experience for its guests.
A room is a room, and a shower is a shower.
I would visit again.
Let me explain. This hotel is poorly designed in two ways : one, you can't enter and go out whenever you need to, the receptionist has to unlock the gate himself from the reception. If he doesn't, you are blocked. But there's a button you can push to warn him, a button which is not even easily accessible if you are leaving the building. And two : this hotel still hasn't had the bright idea to put door closers on the entrance's door (the one behind the gate). Therefore, you have to close it manually each time you pass it, unlike every other hotel in the world. I was working on a shooting when I was in this hotel, and one time I urgently needed something that was in my room for my work. So I rushed through the door, forgetting to close it manually (like many customer). I noticed it too late, when I was already in the stairs to get to my room, so I apologized to the receptionists and told them I was coming back immediately. One minute later, after I took what I needed for my work, I came back, running, apologizing again, saying "sorry" (this is important). I passed through the entrance door, not forgetting to close it this time, then I arrived to the gate door. It's blocked, so I pushed the button (the one that's not even easily accessible) to warn the receptionists that I need to go out, (something they obviously noticed when they saw me leaving). The door remained closed. I pushed again, the door remained closed. So I went back to the receptionists, asking them directly to open the door, not understanding why they didn't open it. One of the receptionists looked at me, with a provocative look, and ironically said... "sorry". The word I told them thirty seconds earlier. If you don't get it : they purposefully refused to let me out just because one minute earlier I forgot to close the door when I was in a hurry, and when I apologized for it. Seriously, how immature do you have to be to behave like this? How unprofessional do you have to be to treat your customers this way?
I wanted to complain about this to the boss of the hotel, but guess what? From what I understood the receptionist who pissed me off purposefully was the boss! If that's true it's even worse. That's why I'm writing this here.
In a nutshell : don't go to this hotel. By the way, all of the people I was with hated it.
