Where to stay in Nagymaros

Everything was absolutely perfect and comfortable. I liked the different fascinating scents. The view was breathtaking. The staff was friendly and helpful. I honestly recommend to everyone :)

We were there for a family gathering on Sunday afternoon, for a great little brunch. There was a very wide selection and very good quality food on the buffet counter. There was also a separate pasta counter where a beautiful chef prepared the right pasta dishes for us from the selected ingredients.

After last year's fire, Silvanus has reopened - although renovations are still ongoing. The final completion of the project is expected by the end of May: all rooms and the renovated outdoor pool will be in use. We were in the Spa years ago, but we were already very curious. We were not disappointed!

Most beautiful, special environment, friendly and helpful staff, huge variety of excellent food for breakfast and dinner, well equipped , very clean, spacious bedroom, nice "playground"-room for kids of different ages, spacious halls where you can get coffee or read your book, good wellness/ bath unit.

Amazing place. There is even a playhouse - which is not really advertised and our kids loved it - useful :) - they have animator, too there. The new year's eve party was nicely organized - particularly loved the jazz music nights.

Excellent hotel and staff! Beutiful panorama.The food is delicious, high-level service. Many kinds of drinks and coffees. Jacuzzi and pool have perfect temperature. A great variety of programs and excursions, the most suitable place for active rest.

A full spa experience. It was very nice. Breakfast and dinner were included in the price. It is a true spa with multiple pools and types of saunas. The room was large with a nice desk and a full kitchen. Small balcony. Very convenient to the sights. Convenient parking. The food was good. A good place to stay for a few days to see all of the Danube Bend.

The room is quite large and equipped with a kitchen, but the facilities are relatively old. The hotel is suitable for local people to come on vacation. There is a swimming pool, a large dining area, and a wide variety of breakfasts.

Not enough table in restaurant, auto reservations not working at all. Handle the situation well. Meal is great.

Food was great. The shower head was mostly clogged up, and there was a drawer in the kitchen that could nkt be opened. It was nice that we were able to rent bycilcles, however they could have used with some basic maintenance.

A hotel with excellent location. The staff is very polite. The wellness section was too crowded. It was difficult to get into the tiny Finnish sauna. The wellness section was very loud, too, and not only because of the people, but also because disco music was played by the hotel there. The food is slightly below average Hungarian wellness hotel. A bit old-style.

Great spot for a weekend. My wife I had the privilege to leave the kids behind for two nights. Room great and nice view with a balcony. Even with families at the hotel we were able to enjoy and relax. Good facilities and good pools inside and out. Food was good but you would not rush back for a half-board. All in all we really liked the experience and would recommend for a short stay.

Hotel Visegrad was a beautiful experience for me and my family (2 adults and 2 children 10 and 8). The hotel is located 45 min. from Budapest, on the banks of the Danube in a beautiful area. The services offered by the hotel were very pleasant (boat ride on the Danube, medieval show with soldiers and medieval weapons, several heated pools both outside and inside and the hospitality of the staff...

Our family enjoyed our overnight stay. Smooth check in, food were good and service was great. Our kids (3yo and 1yo) love the wading pool ( on the ground floor you will instantly see it when you go to the lift of building B rooms and the kid's pool area (-1 floor if you stay in building B or when you're on the wading pool area just go up pass the panoramic jacuzzi pool then down; it'sa hidden gem)...

I don't think there is a word to describe it. Everything was really overwhelming and spectacular! The party at night, the renaissance restaurant, the food and the service, hats off to the staff!

Wonderful place to stay. Clean, comfy rooms with great views. Service was amazing. There is a nice games room with pool, ping pong and lots of board games for the family to play in the evenings. Located right in nature with lots of nice walks easily accessible. Highly recommended.

We arrived for my love’s birthday in April. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect weekend. The four-poster bed of the Love Nest captivated us. This hotel supposedly is a 4 star superior hotel, but I would give it hardly 3 stars. We arrived on a Monday and stayed till Friday. Tuesday late afternoon I informed reception that our room was not cleaned. They sent someone who emptied the 2 bins in the room and - because I asked her - made up the beds. The other days only the bins were emptied. Beds were never made up, bathroom was never cleaned...

Everything is very nice. The hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms are beautiful and clean. The spa is spacious and well-designed. Food is delicious! We visited the hotel several times. It is gradually being renovated, from the new interiors of the rooms, the restaurant to the new sunbeds by the pools. The service in the restaurant has also improved. The chefs deserve an award as the cuisine is excellent. Excellent Hotel close to many trails, close to Budapest and several historical sites. Has pools, wellness, and spa, and serves solid food in a beautiful location. Well worth a visit.

The overall experience in your hotel was good. The rooms are nice. The spa area aswell. I received 2 absolute nogo during my stay. Both are related to the restaurant. 1. the dinner is open until 10pm but some colleagues started to cover/close the buffet area already at 8:30 pm while people were still eating. Really weak value for money, definitely not a 4-star accommodation. They change towels only every third day, so you have to visit the spa three times with the same towel (quite unhygienic). We stayed for 6 nights, during which the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The room wasn’t hovered, the bathroom floor wasn’t swept neither washed. A quiet, peaceful place, impeccable cleanliness, polite, kind, helpful staff, an almost incomparable buffet breakfast. Pets are welcome. I can only recommend!

There is a separate parking lot at the pension and at the hotel. They are very close to each other, the wellness area is very well equipped. In the room next to the restaurant, there is a play corner for the little ones, as well as foosball and ping-pong tables. They waited for us with a varied and divine breakfast the next day. Very nice and helpful staff, clean and well equipped apartments. From this year, own jacuzzis belongs to some apartments. We were here two times during the pandemic, when it was allowed by the government.

I feel bad giving 3 stars since the hotel itself is not that bad. It's clean and tidy and the staff is super nice... But.. comparing with other hotels in the same price range is far behind. Room cleanliness definitely could be improved. There was a massive spiderweb in the heater, also spider lived in the shower. We killed several stink bugs... Bed was not very comfy, but room had a nice view. Definitely wouldn't call this hotel a "wellness" place, because having a mini pool doesn't make it such wellness

Twas a tiny attic room. The 1 sqm shower (dont drop the soap)!. Wifi hopeless. Nice staff. Old building. No lift. Went to the hotel restaurant for dinner, was obviously invisible as no staff made any contact, so left after 10 minutes; went next door to Renaissance Restaurant (great meal, attentive staff). Tourism is a competitive business.

The staff were very kind. Our room was good enough, but the bathroom was a little bit low quality. And there was some noise at night. And the kitchen was in the next to the room and the stairs, of course we could hear all the steps on it. Big plus to the guy on the reception, he was very polite and kind.

Cozy small hotel just by the main road. Features include an outdoor jacuzzi, a wellness building and great view on the Danube.

Really close to the ferry crossing, so easy to walk with heavy bags. The rooms are of a good size and whilst there was no aircon, the building itself is cool and the curtains were closed to keep the sun out; which was thoughtful. Three-star guest house. Paper-thin walls, low equipment, and the cleanliness is not spotless. So 3 stars... The location is excellent. I do not recommend it for a longer vacation, but it is ideal for a night or two because of the great location and reasonable price.

You can hear everything from the neighboring rooms. Whether you can sleep well depends only on the goodwill of the other guests.
