I attended a corporate event here and, despite my colleagues requesting vegan meals in advance, the experience was incredibly disappointing. For breakfast, after multiple requests, I was served plain vegan buttered bread with three slices of cucumber and a flower petal. Lunch was even worse: two bland blocks of tofu, barely cooked and unseasoned, served with grilled vegetables. When I complained, the chef’s response was dismissive, suggesting I should have just used the salt, pepper, and oil from the table myself. If you are vegan, I cannot recommend this hotel at all. The kitchen seems completely unprepared and unwilling to cater to plant-based guests.

Overall, the service fell short of my expectations. The receptionist told us the “2nd floor” instead of “minus 2” for the spa entrance, so my mother and I wandered around for half an hour before we finally found the spa. The condition of the changing cabins at the spa entrance is catastrophic – only about every third one can actually be locked. On a 35°C day, we wanted to take our coffee out to the terrace, but we were told they could not open the sun umbrellas, so we should drink our coffee indoors instead. We closed our room door before going for coffee, but when we returned, the door was wide open. Fortunately, nothing was taken. There were stink bugs on the curtain in our room. I believe it is reasonable to expect a 4+ star hotel to offer Netflix, but there was none. When we mentioned this at reception, the receptionist brought us a cable so we could connect to our laptop – but unfortunately, we didn’t have a laptop with us. When we posted this feedback on the hotel’s website, their response claimed that Netflix was available. Then why did the receptionist bring us a cable? My review was deleted from the hotel’s website. I also sent all these complaints in an email to the hotel, but I never received any response from management. For this hotel, even 3 stars would be generous.

This hotel supposedly is a 4 star superior hotel, but I would give it hardly 3 stars. We arrived on a Monday and stayed till Friday. Tuesday late afternoon I informed reception that our room was not cleaned. They sent someone who emptied the 2 bins in the room and - because I asked her - made up the beds. The other days only the bins were emptied. Beds were never made up, bathroom was never cleaned and vacuum cleaner never used in the room. Same for the rooms of my travel companions. And I guess we were still lucky. In the corridor of our floor we saw full bins in front of several rooms - I guess, one way or another, cleaning staff overlooked those rooms completely. On Thursday we finally received fresh towels but still the room was not cleaned. In the room was a leaflet from the hotel informing us they had a problem with some kind of beetle from the Donau and asked us to keep the balcony door closed. Well, if you don’t clean your rooms every day I imagine you can expect problems like that. On the day of our arrival there was a short but hefty storm. When we looked over the balcony of our room we saw pots with plants lying on their side as well as several chairs. Only on Thursday they put everything back up and somewhat cleaned the terrace. The restaurant was open from 6pm till 10pm. When we arrived at 7:30pm the buffet was already half empty and not refilled. Food was ok but nothing special. It was catering for families with children. Same for breakfast. The wellness/pool area was very crowded. Lot’s of families with children. I saw children in the thermal baths although that was not allowed. I even saw children running around in the sauna area. We received a towel for the pool area but could only exchange it for another one after 3 nights. If you stay in the pool area all day and you go for a swim or thermal bath a few times, I guarantee you that your towel is soaking wet. Not pleasant. The only positive were the treatments they were giving. My compliments to the ladies who give the massages, and I definitely recommend the salt grotto of the hotel. In my opinion the hotel lacks good management.

Everything is very nice. The hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms are beautiful and clean. The spa is spacious and well-designed. Food is delicious! However, there is one aspect that is quite uncomfortable: most guests in the saunas do not respect sauna rules. Almost everyone wears bathing suits, and some even wear flip-flops inside the sauna. There are large sweat stains on the wood because people enter with wet bathing suits even without any cloth or towel.

Additionally, many rinse quickly with water after using the sauna and then enter the cooling pool, which causes their sweat to wash off into the pool.

We specifically came here for the saunas and spa, because webpage says they have a "Sauna world" which should come with sauna etiquette. So this behavior is a bit frustrating and it is really unsanitary. Being the only one following sauna etiquette makes you feel like a nudist😂

No bathroom amenities (no shampoo, conditioner or body milk) we had to ask at reception and were asked to go down to pick them up ourselves.(But first we were kindly asked to use the hand soap to wash our hair) No proper wifi (signal very weak or nothing) No plug by the bed. Hotel is next to main road so can get noisy at times. Lunch was an hour late and tasted awful. People are friendly and helpful but the overall experience is not worth the 4 stars. It has a nice spa and plenty of outside space (although too many sunbeds, looks horrendous).

Nice lobby and lovely pools.

Food was poor and the restaurant was like an assault course. We had a so-called premium suite but it was just a normal room with a sauna and spa bath. Suites usually have a separate room.

Visegrad is a beautiful place to visit but my advice would be to find an alternative hotel. No way is this a 4 star hotel!

We visited the hotel several times. It is gradually being renovated, from the new interiors of the rooms, the restaurant to the new sunbeds by the pools. The service in the restaurant has also improved. The chefs deserve an award as the cuisine is excellent. There used to be two pools marked as thermal, now it is only one and it feels even the one with a lower temperature. Unfortunately, no one regulates children in the one thermal pool, which also gives the hotel its name. Parents don't know that their young children can overheat and the staff avoids this obstruction. Maybe this is the reason for the reduction in the number of thermal pools (34+ °C).

Excellent Hotel close to many trails, close to Budapest and several historical sites. Has pools, wellness, and spa, and serves solid food in a beautiful location. Well worth a visit.

The overall experience in your hotel was good. The rooms are nice. The spa area aswell. I received 2 absolute nogo during my stay. Both are related to the restaurant. 1. the dinner is open until 10pm but some colleagues started to cover/close the buffet area already at 8:30 pm while people were still eating. It was loud and disturbing. 2. out waiter smelled like cigarette smoke. Imagine eating your dinner and the waiter smells very much like cigarette. These are two absolute no gos. Also the waiter do not speak English. Thatswhy they do not do their job properly as they don’t ask what I would like to have for drinking. One waiter wanted me to sign the bill for a totally different table. And he did not understand when I told him that this bill isn’t for my table. I feel like if you do not speak Hungarian, the waiter in the restaurant are way less friendly. All in all the stay was okay the receptionists were friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. Same for the spa area. The restaurant with the waiters is not worth 4 star at all.

Really weak value for money, definitely not a 4-star accommodation. They change towels only every third day, so you have to visit the spa three times with the same towel (quite unhygienic). We stayed for 6 nights, during which the room wasn’t properly cleaned. The room wasn’t hovered, the bathroom floor wasn’t swept neither washed.
There were no slippers in the room - what is pretty much the standard in any 4* hotel.
We also booked a room with a view of the Danube, but we didn’t see the river at all.
The design of the hotel is nice and some members of the staff were helpful and polite, but these are probably the only positive things we can mention.
We tried to communicate the above mentioned things to the receptionist, but she didn’t seem to care.
There are definitely much better hotels and services in Hungary.
