We visited the hotel several times. It is gradually being renovated, from the new interiors of the rooms, the restaurant to the new sunbeds by the pools. Really weak value for money, definitely not a 4-star accommodation. They change towels only every third day, so you have to visit the spa three times with the same towel (quite unhygienic). Its great hotel, nice rooms , great location but somehow we had a unfortunate experience. We had a stay for 2 nights and it so happened that on the 2nd morning there was absolutely no water in the resort so much so that it was difficult for all the essential daily routines. But i guess it was one of the bad days in the resort, but apart from that the place oa worth visit.

We asked them to recommend a good spa hotel not too far away from Budapest and Portobello came up multiple times. Now we know why. The staff is very responsive and kind from the beginning when you first contact them online. People from the hotel reply quickly, fulfill the requests and are very reliable. A cozy hotel. But I was surprised that in addition to the amount I paid for the reservation, they asked me to pay an extra 2 euros. When I asked why? They answered: because they were giving me a different room. This has never happened to me before.

The Attila Hotel is more than a palace to rest, it's an experience that lingers in your heart long-term after you've bid farewell.

Aldi, Lidl, shopping center and gas stations are all very close. However you only have 1 bus line you can take from here and have to change transport at least once. This also means the area is more quiet even though its right by the road. Best bank for buck stay around the area though.

I visited hotel twice. Fist time was fine and it was well organized. After my second visit, I noticed that the hotel has become quite neglected. The hygiene is very poor. I believe you can do much better.

The floor was dirty, and the bath towels weren't very clean either. The soundproofing was terrible. There was only one person working at the counter in the evening. It was very noisy with lots of people eating pizza and drinking near the entrance at night.

The hotel is located a bit far from the city center, about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. I'd recommend staying closer to the city center if you're here for tourism. This area is a little out of the way.

The hotel was quite cold for the two weeks of my stay due to a technical issue. Unfortunately, the spa area—which was the main reason I chose this hotel—was also too cold to fully enjoy. The hotel itself is old, with dated furniture and very basic amenities, but everything was clean. There’s nothing particularly special about the place, however it offers decent value for the money.

A fantastic hotel. We returned after a 13-year hiatus, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. Even on hot summer days, the island stays cool, and from the hotel windows, you can see lush greenery instead of hot, stone buildings. We came to this hostel after being scammed in another one. They listened to us and they were very kind to us, it is a very warm place, and it is in very good conditions, besides it is very well located to walk around the center of Budapest, impeccable place. Its owners and staff of great warmth and heart, recommended 1000%!

This Hostel is a very cozy and clean place with a cute charme. I felt very comfortable, the owner and stuff are very friendly and it was easy to meet other people as a solo traveler. It's perfect to have a calm time but also to meet others to go out later. Definitely will come back to this nice place and stay longer!
