Hotel Korona***és Étterem in Hajduszoboszlo

I travel to Hungary multiple times a year spending most of my time in the west of the Danube/Budapest . I say this because I compare my recent to Delibab to Budapest prices and service for similar properties. The size and condition of the rooms do not meet Budapest levels such as the Budapest Hilton yet the nightly rate here is more expensive! The breakfast was ok and again does not compare to hotels in Budapest in the same class. Dinner was also ok for a buffet.. The spa and pools were very clean and in excellent condition. The bar area was very nice and the drinks were very good. The reason I gave this place 3 stars was the price was not worth the rooms and amenities. I believe this used to be some sort of socialist retreat back in the day that did not convert very well into a hotel. Also the wifi was terrible and you could only use one code for room.

Next trip I will have to try another place for comparison purposes

Hotel Délibáb boasts an excellent location with direct access to the Hungarospa thermal complex, which we found particularly convenient. Parking facilities were satisfactory and well-organized.

Dinner in the hotel restaurant met our expectations—meals were tasty, and presentation was appealing. However, breakfast service fell somewhat short, as the staff struggled to replenish items in a timely manner, causing slight inconvenience.

The hotel’s wellness area was sufficient for relaxation after a day spent at the spa. Unfortunately, the guest rooms clearly require renovation and modernization, as their current condition significantly detracts from overall comfort. Moreover, during our entire stay, the room was not cleaned even once, which was quite disappointing and well below the expected standard of a 4-star hotel.

The hotel certainly has great potential, and by addressing room quality, housekeeping standards, and making minor service improvements, it could greatly enhance the guest experience. We would consider returning in the future, with hopes that these issues will be resolved.
