Hárs Thermál Hotel in Gyomaendrod

The thermal hotel was unable to fill the pool with thermal water. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip. We were really looking forward to it….

Hotel is now dated and it seems the owners have lost the passion for running it, you can see that it was once a nice place to stay but the time has now gone, the breakfast was of very cheap quality and minimal. The stay was over priced for what it is. It has great potential but needs some passion put back into it from the owners. On the plus side , the bed was very comfortable.

Compared to a 2-star hotel, 1* was a disappointment. We were probably not sympathetic to the owner, because we are not an elderly couple, nor do we have children. The breakfast rolls were dry. The prices of the counter services are not listed, the prices of the entertainment options indicated in the confirmation email (e.g. ping pong HUF 1000/occasion would have been HUF 3000 for us, sauna use HUF 4000/occasion instead of HUF 3500/occasion and min. 2 people) were different. The appearance of the owner was repulsive to me. A hotel owner should dress a little better. His wife and staff were lovely, the rooms tidy. Although I complain about why I had to pay attention to how to bathe...(water should not go into the drain hole) because there was a broken pipe in the hotel?! We got another room, with a good stuffy bathroom, with a transparent curtain to the attic. My partner got rotten draft beer, and not that they gave him canned beer as compensation, they also liquidated it. It's a joke, if the air conditioner works with 1 remote control... if there were more of us, they wouldn't have given it to us, but set it to one degree and that's it.
We received a HUF 3,000 discount.
The problem with this whole thing is that the management did not compensate us for any inconvenience at all, they asked for the money in the same way, all while we did not receive a detailed invoice from our caterer and a correct service invoice (there is no air conditioning fee on it, instead of 5 nights they wrote an item for 10 nights). We hope to receive the invoices correctly afterwards. But I totally felt from the management's side that he was only playing to pull us off because we were not guests that suited his taste.
