Where to stay in Balatonszemes

Very comfy hotel, good food, very good wellness including a 25m swimming pool. Helpful staff. The view of Lake Balaton is magical.

The hotel is beautiful. The mens at the entrance are very friendly, they speak English. However, the people working in the restaurant barely understood the room number in English. The first day at dinner no one asked us for drinks, the second day at dinner the lady asked us for drink after we finished eating. The service in the restaurant could be much friendlier. Room is good. Bathroom small. Reception ok. The lady was friendly. Bar and restaurant ok. The young lady who was working in the bar and the restaurant was top. She knows what hospitality is! Great!

I uploaded my review as a picture. Check in between 2 to 7 pm, but the wellness center is open between 8:30 18:30. So we needed to go to hotel earlier.

A great hotel in terms of location, services, food, and the workers are very cooperative. The rooms are very clean. A suitable swimming pool and a view of natural scenery. It is very suitable for families and children. There is nothing to complain about.

Summarised the price/value is not the best. Unfortunately van not recommend the hotel especially in summer time before renovation and climatisation

We planned to spend the New Year’ eve holiday at the hotel. Our accommodation was paid in full in advance. Upon arriving we were shocked about the dated furniture/linen and poor condition of the rooms/bathroom. Thanks for the accomodation, we met with a helpful and cooperative staff from the beginning. We stayed for 2 nights, the bufet has wide selection, prices are not crazy at all! Rooms are equipped as well. Thanks again, we will come back!

We were here in August, leaving with mixed feelings: the room was clean, but since we were upstairs and there was no air conditioning, the heat was unbearable. The discomfort was exacerbated by the stench emanating from the spa, which probably took off from the wellness. There is a perfect hotel, the sauna is good, there is a separate sauna seance, they cook gently and the surroundings are beautiful.

I came here with my son and wife to spend a weekend away from the city. I couldn't expect more from a 3 star hotel. (Summer price is a little bit higher than winter...expectable). Rooms are good. Service and cattering - lovely. Wellness is very nice!!! Kids playroom. Clean pools. And very nice food! Can only recommend it. Thank you Szindbad hotel, for such a lovely weekend.
