We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient.
We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable.
A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland).
Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable.
We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel.
One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night.

Very nice location, close to the waterfall. The rooms are a bit old though. The breakfast was nice.

The room looks quite dark and aged. Some essential things were lacking like kettle. There was only one small table and chair in the family room we stayed in so we had to ear/drink in the beds.

Very close and walking distance to Skogafoss waterfall.
Breakfast was very good.
Room is dated, no fridge but they offer free coffee/tea (machine) which is right outside the rooms.
Water smelt like sulphur but it’s due to the geo thermal water they are using.

Room is too small for two people. Not so many amenities. Toilet is a bit old. Think it is too expensive with the hotel standard and service. But breakfast is good.

Very pleasant stay and top notch service. The room was comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff were very quick to assist and very flexible with our requests. Really amazing! The location is right at skogafoss which is really convenient, though the view of the room facing the fall cannot really see the waterfall.
