This hotel offers a fantastic environment for its location, complete with free sauna access and excellent service – they even helped me print some documents, which was great. The only issue is that the 'sea view' room doesn't really have a sea view. It overlooks a patch of grass, and the sea is very far away, about a 20-minute walk. Overall, it was a good experience. The music playing in the restaurant was also very nice, which put me in a great mood! There were many horses outside the room, and the restaurant was also quite good; it was one of the more decent restaurants I've had in Iceland.

The bath products used were SOLEY, an Icelandic brand, which were very comfortable. The room and breakfast were excellent. We even saw the Northern Lights from the hotel, exceeding our expectations! Highly recommended!

Rooms were very spacious and well equipped/decorated. A continental breakfast was served 8-10am which was lovely and the staff were very helpful too. The hot tub was a cherry on top.

The hotel had a self-check-in system, and contacting staff to get the room code was very difficult. However, the hotel environment was very nice.

This property DO NOT HAVE ANY STAFF. The staff only comes in the morning to prepare breakfast for guests. They will emaill you a few hours before check in for the code to your room. Skogafoss hotel and restaurant is a stopover for travelers on the southwestern 🇮🇸 Icelandic sightseeing route. Beautiful small hotel , modern design , beautiful . The restaurant is always crowded. If you arrive late, you are very lucky to find a table. Otherwise, buying food to take away is also not a bad choice. The food here is delicious, fresh, and very tasty.

Awesome burger. The Viking Burger and side salad were both amazing. Great views of the waterfall and this is a nice spot to stop as there aren’t many other options for a great meal.

The food was surprisingly great there. Ordered the local burger and was definitely impressed, especially given the quality of some of the food in other areas of Iceland. The views while eating lunch we're great too. Service was friendly and wuick. Would highly recommend eating here.

I liked this hotel/hostal. It's more affordable than any other hotel/hostal in the area and you can eat breakfast and dinner here. Friendly helpful staff, average but clean rooms. Shared bathroom and shower were not the cleanest. Every door in the building slams into the frame/wall and sounds like falling boulders. Nearly impossible to navigate quietly at night.

Fantastic location, close to famous Golden Circle sites like the Skógafoss waterfall, the Sólheimajökull glacier and the Sólheimasandur plane wreck. The room is on par with hostels.

Great place to stay. Room is comfy... and warm.. Common area is spacious and kitchen extremely modern. Very surprising as the outside may not seem the most inviting. Great for resting for the night and to stay maybe a day.

This hotel is close to Vik town and near the plane wreck. It has a very cozy, guesthouse-like feel.

The location is a bit remote, so you'll need a car to get there. The breakfast was delicious! You'll see lots of horses and sheep along the way too.

Very nice location, close to the waterfall. The rooms are a bit old though. The breakfast was nice.

The room looks quite dark and aged. Some essential things were lacking like kettle. There was only one small table and chair in the family room we stayed in so we had to ear/drink in the beds. Location is good and right next to the waterfall. Cleanliness is acceptable.

Very close and walking distance to Skogafoss waterfall.  Breakfast was very good. Room is dated, no fridge but they offer free coffee/tea (machine) which is right outside the rooms. Water smelt like sulphur but it’s due to the geo thermal water they are using.

The cabins are very nice. A downside, I see is the check-in process. You have to call a phone number and they'll tell you the cabin number and the entry password. Aside from that, the place is actually great!

Did not reply to any messages and emails, which made the guests very worried
