I liked this hotel/hostal. It's more affordable than any other hotel/hostal in the area and you can eat breakfast and dinner here. The breakfast doesn't really fill you up, but the dinner does a good job. Clean towels are given out every day and wifi is also free. Sometimes the staff makes your bed too. Friendly helpful staff, average but clean rooms. Shared bathroom and shower were not the cleanest. Every door in the building slams into the frame/wall and sounds like falling boulders. Nearly impossible to navigate quietly at night.

Lovely place for a couple and a nice view. Even better view if you get a cottage in the first of the two rows. Has got a kitchen, tv, table, clean toilet, shower and a big bed. Parking is also possible. Water in the heater makes noises while heating up the room. Shower is moderate warm. Kitchen has no basic ingedrients like oil. Other apartments with a kitchen offer this and cost less.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay here. Having a stocked kitchenette was great and saved us a lot of money by not having to eat out. The setting was also beautiful. Minus a star because the bathroom drainage wasn't very good so the floor was constantly wet, we weren't provided with hand towels, and we stayed for 3 nights but our trash was never emptied so it was stuffed by the time we checked out

Hotel is perfectly located in a quite area. Spectacular views of the mountains and nearby ocean. The large windows are perfect for seeing the sun rise and set everyday. We really enjoyed our stay at Umi Hotel and would highly recommend it. The private black sand beach was incredible. We had it all to ourselves in the morning and it was one of our favorite highlights from our one week trip. Definitely take the 10-15 minute walk from the hotel over to it! This could be the most expensive hotel in our Iceland trip. Anyway it's great as expect. The hotel is great, we like the decoration and the room. Breakfast is good too. Skogafoss hotel and restaurant is a stopover for travelers on the southwestern 🇮🇸 Icelandic sightseeing route. Beautiful small hotel , modern design , beautiful . The restaurant is always crowded. If you arrive late, you are very lucky to find a table. Otherwise, buying food to take away is also not a bad choice. The food here is delicious, fresh, and very tasty.

Awesome burger. The Viking Burger and side salad were both amazing. Great views of the waterfall and this is a nice spot to stop as there aren’t many other options for a great meal.

I have to say that the building and its location are just beautiful! Our room had very low ceilings and getting to the bed I had to bend over and cracked my head a couple times! But I'm sure that's not the case in every room. The only other thing was that the breakfast was nice, but the eating space was very tight for the number of people.

The property reeks and hot water runs out quick . Outside view is breathtaking and attractions are very accessible.

Cute area snuggled in a valley. Northern lights danced behind the mountain. Check in was very easy. Room was simple and efficient. Unfortunately a strong sewer smell was the first thing you notice as you walk in. If you kept the bathroom door closed in the bedroom the smell lightened almost unnoticable.

I chose the property because it said breakfast was included and there was a restaurant on the property. There was no breakfast or restaurant. They had an area for it but is was closed down. The walls were thin. I could here the person in the next room snoring all night. Closest town was about 15 to 20 minute drive. The online pictures were a little deceiving.

Our room had a very nice view towards the ocean. Comfortable seat and beds. Relatively new furniture. We could make our own coffee and tea in the room. Breakfast was possible (3000 ISK per person) but we did not take that.

We had our wedding here and rented out the hotel for the weekend. The rooms were clean and sophisticated, the food was some of the best I've ever had, but most importantly the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with every little detail. This is a basic hotel that caters to large tour/bus groups. If you are staying here as independent customers your experience will suffer as ours did. Great view from the hotel. Decent food should be had here. Overall the hotel seems to be very new still being built. Definitely one of the larger hotels in the area. Rooms are spacious very clean. Prices in the off-season a very reasonable. The northern lights come out which they did for us you can see them from the parking. Overall great room when we needed a place last minute when weather prohibited us from moving forward. Clean, spacious, nice restroom, and great views no matter what side of the hall you are on. Good breakfast, and late checkout at noon.

Not a bad hotel near Vik. The room is simple without air conditioning, but it was not cold. Good breakfast.

The hotel is in a great location, with a lake and snow-capped mountains in front, very beautiful, and close to the black sand beach and the Red Church. The room is clean and hygienic, but a little small. The breakfast is particularly rich and delicious. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful. It is the right choice for this self-driving hotel.

The breakfast is very good, the environment here is very good, and it is only 5 kilometers away from the town of Vic. Parking is free.

We were so lucky to be able to see the Aurora right after we reached the hotel. The room was too cold. Tried adjusting the heat temperature but failed.

We stayed for two days. The environment was very quiet, the room was clean, and there was a kitchen where we could make our own breakfast. Everything else was good, except that the garbage bags were not cleaned out in time. When we came back on the first night, there was no place to throw away the garbage.

Amazing place to stay, this place was perfect! we paid extra for breakfast but it was well worth it It is perfect when you are traveling the south coast and apparently it would be amazing during ther northern lights season

Rooms are clean and have all the facilities you would expect. The bar, while limited in range, is fine (and inexpensive for Iceland). The food was excellent. The northern lights were amazing. For passing through this hotel is more than good enough, if you try to catch the northern lights it’s great.

Lovely hotel in the middle of nature. Location is great, we enjoyed the whirlpool and the Sauna. Staff was very friendly. Rooms could have been more clean, breakfast organization (fill up times etc.) was one day good, one day terrible. We did not experience the dinner at Laekur because it seemed a little expensive to us. All in all still one of our favourite stay.
