I just visited the restaurant for lunch and enjoyed every bite of each plate. The LASAGNA is a must have plate if you ever passed by the waterfall in the area or checked in the hotel. It’s homemade with love and warmth !! So good you’ll be happy afterwards 🤭 I know I was 🤩

The hotel was a self checkin and kind of creepy. Tile floors everywhere so it was quite noisy when ppl came and went. The place needs a facelift for sure. TV never worked. It was sufficient for 2 nights but no longer.

The hotel is self check-in, so it’s very convenient if you dont have a set schedule. There really isn’t much service but I think there is a reception just down the street at a different hotel. Friendly helpful staff, average but clean rooms. Shared bathroom and shower were not the cleanest. Every door in the building slams into the frame/wall and sounds like falling boulders. Nearly impossible to navigate quietly at night.

This hotel is close to Vik town and near the plane wreck. It has a very cozy, guesthouse-like feel.

The location is a bit remote, so you'll need a car to get there. The breakfast was delicious! You'll see lots of horses and sheep along the way too.

We booked a room for four that had a private bathroom. The room was clean and comfortable. However, there was a slight drainage problem in the shower. The size of the room was manageable and sufficient for our short stay, although we were housed in the loft with a slanted roof, so we all accidentally bumped our heads a few times. Breakfast was pretty decent—think bread, cold cuts, cereal, boiled eggs...

This was a good place for us to crash for a night - however it was quite busy trying to use the kitchen, even later at night. So you have to be up for sharing. Otherwise no issues. The bathrooms were quite wet because so many folks were showering and using them but they were nice overall and we never had to wait long to use them.

But the beds and pillows are totally rubbish,soft and old totally different than the other facilities. A lot of people reviewed that the beds are great but that are not. The cabins are very nice. A downside, I see is the check-in process. You have to call a phone number and they'll tell you the cabin number and the entry password. Aside from that, the place is actually great!

The room small but comfortable. I like the kitchen, feel clean, bright and comfortable.

The accommodation conditions are satisfactory and the environment is very clean.

The hostel overall fit the need. Clean, spacious and quiet. However the price for a room is definitely debtable. While location was perfect (bang next to Skogafoss), It was one of the most expensive stays we had in Iceland and the amenities were either at the same level or even lower than some of the other places we stayed.

It is a hostel, so the facilities are bare minimum but functional. For the money we paid, definitely not value for money.
