The cottage is really lovely and the mountain view in front of the house is amazing. We arrived late at night but the process of checking in was easy. We are group of family (6 people) and there are 2 bedrooms and 1 sofa bed which is suitable for us. The bedsheet in under the sofa bed (at first we cannot find it but it is kept tidily). There are also 1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area and area in front of the house that we can sit to see the beautiful view with fresh air outside. The host is kind and supportive.

It's a great overnight spot. The cabins have so many windows that you can enjoy the view all around. It apparently gets quite windy, but after a long day of hiking and breathing all that Atlantic air you just fall into a deep sleep state and don't mind the whooshing sounds that much. We've been told that it was a good spot to see the northern lights, however it was a low index night so maybe next time. The only sad thing about this place was the weak wifi connection, but maybe would be improved in the future.

Cosy and warm. At night we could hear the sound of water running, there was a small river close by and in the morning we walked a bit in the surrounding area, which was breathtaking. We had a barbecue that night and it was a bit hard to find gas but we made it work.

The cabins are a good size, however the bed was super uncomfortable. Also, there weren’t any extra towels, pillows or blankets. One of our least favorite stays on our trip.

Wonderful little cabins on a farm. The area is gorgeous The kitchen was stocked with pots ands pans as well a small electric stove top. Great experience all around.

Nice and clean cottages with top notch linens and duvets for a good night's sleep. Cabin had a good warm shower and all the basics you need. Communication was responsive and friendly and the owners are obviously very gracious hosts :). Beautiful mountain views all around and nice hiking options from the cabin to explore nearby waterfalls and mountains. The location is great as a base for exploring the eastern fjords by car. Highly recommend if you're looking for a private cabin to on your travels in the east.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by their incredibly enthusiastic and friendly farm dog, such a delight! The cottage was clean, warm and had everything we needed. This is the perfect location to do some star gazing or watch the northern lights!

We didn’t even stay here, but when we stopped by the owner let us explore his property and see the waterfall. But the best part was without a doubt their dog. SUPER friendly and he even came with us on our hike. I love dogs but even if you don’t you’ll love their dog!

We loved our stay at the cozy cottage Gala. Off the beaten path on the eastern coast of Iceland, this is a great place to spend the night if you’re driving around the ring road. We were so pleased with our stay, and would love to come back!

Amazing and reasonably priced cottages in a beautiful area with lots of nearby activities. Be sure to greet the farm dogs in the morning, they are very friendly and playful. Also has Free WiFi.
