Húsavík Guesthouse is a great place to stay if you are going Whale Watching or Sightseeing in North Iceland. In this family-run guesthouse you will enjoy a warm welcome. -Örlygur Hnefill, manager
It's a regular house transformed into a so called guesthouse.
No ventilation, not a single hanger or wallhook to hang your stuff (only the floor or on the bed).
Dirty bathroom (sink) with old moldstains on showerhead.
Toiletpaper placed on floor, no hanger for it.
The building smells moldy and moist.
Unkempt "garden".
Plus: one of the so called cheaper places in the village (€140 per night!).
The guy who gave us the keys were nice.

Good accommodation for an affordable price, which is a lot in Iceland. 5 minutes walking to the center where the restaurant and excursions are. The smell of the place was not the best, that is the only but I could tell.
Very budget accomodation but beds are ok if you just need to sleep.
The guesthouse is located in the center of Husavik. Everything is very clean. However, the guesthouse has fallen into a deep sleep. Everything a bit stale and you have the feeling here was nothing renewed for 30 years. Our room seemed as if the furniture had been put in the were available. No desserts, just a very dark ceiling lamp and two single beds pushed together. A single outlet in the whole room.
Breakfast was in the hotel in the same street (1 minute walk), which was adequate and good.
