We stayed for one night as a couple. The rooms are acceptable in size, clean and a modern nice bathroom. The mattress & bed is very comfortable. The service is helpful and friendly.
The restaurant has lots of areas of improvement. We had lamb carpaccio (too thick sliced, mussels were not fresh or tasteful (total disaster/failure). The restaurant food is overpriced, comparing with its taste and selection...
Very neat and cozy hotel. Better reserved dinner and breakfast since the closest restaurant is 30 min away in Husavik.
Great little country hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was surprisingly good, I recommend the fish soup! The wife had a lamb steak that was good.
amazing place where we enjoyed northern lights two days in a row and very close to Asbyrgi
They have an incredible friendly staff and really good local food. 100% recommended.

Lovely place, the lady at reception was extremely helpful and accommodating and the hot tub!!!!
A really nice accomodation with comfortable and clean beds, nice rooms and good breakfast.
The view is astonishing and there is even a private hot tub free to use right in front of our door.
Icelandic horses are right in front of our room, a mother and its foal. So cute!
And we saw some soft northern lights!
Clean simple rooms, breakfast was nice standard fare, and they even had real maple syrup for the pancakes. The owner was so nice - it was about 15 minutes after breakfast was officially over (10a) and she asked the kids if they wanted more pancakes. Definitely caring, kind hosts.
Great little place to stay - service was friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was fabulous (special mention to the Pancakes!) Natural hot tub was an absolute win - clean, in the open air and a perfect place to start or finish your day.
Nice clean rooms with soft beds and a view. We changed plans, booked the room 15mins ahead of arrival in the middle of winter and someone just came right away, gave us the keys, then drove off. There's a microwave and a water cattle in the rooms. The hot tub is a few meters from the rooms across the parking place. It has a nice view and it's open 24h, so excellent to watch aurora when it's freezing...
Very good a calm place. The breakfast is amazing

Wow! Oli is a welcoming host and the property is sweet, natural and lovely. Tucked at the end of the road and adorned with terns the home features a hot spring in the backyard with a true hot pot, over 100 F. We took a hike up through the backyard to the alpine meadow where I sketched and admired. The private outdoor pool was amazing! A soothing temperature to swim a few short laps. I look forward...
A little piece of heaven, Haraldur is the perfect host that makes you feel like home.
The house and rooms are well decorated. There are 3 bedrooms and a big shared bathroom.
The best of it is a swimming pool and a natural SPA of about 40 degrees.
It is worth going!
By far the best place i've stayed in. I would recommend this to everyone. We stayed for 4 nights in september.
Very nice house. Very friendly and relaxed owner. He really gives you the feeling that his house becomes yours for the nights to stay. The house includes a naturally heated swimming pool (+- 37°C) and a warmer natural hot tub (which is essentially a hole in the ground where a river provides...

Really enjoyed our stay here and would return. Clean, comfortable and nice decor (despite being a boarding school). Swimming pool and running track nearby. A good location to base ourselves for visiting Lake Myvatn and Husavik.Good breakfast too.
Very big room and big bathroom.
Very nice location.
The best breakfast I had in Iceland
Stayed here for 1 night. Lobby was decent as well as the rooms. Nothing special.
Chef was very friendly after we showed up unexpected for an early dinner as this was the only place on our way we could get something to eat. Our request for a gluten free and lactose free dinner was easily granted. "no problem" we were told and everything was just as expected. The fish was very delicious. The price is a bit in the higher side of the spectrum tho.

Good accommodation location for completing the diamond circuit. The accommodation has everything you need for an overnight stay while traveling around Iceland
A very clean, comfortable, simply furnished en suite room. Good breakfast in the main house. Rural relaxing outdoor atmosphere in general.
This hotel was so much better than we were expecting! Seems that it was renovated/built recently so everything looks brand new in the room and also super clean.
The breakfast offers the basics and you won't leave hungry.
It is very close to the falls (about 5minutes driving) so ideal if you plan on taking sunrise pictures by the falls.
We booked this online about 45 minutes before getting there and...
At first sight, an inconspicuous barn awaits you, which accommodates newly furnished rooms inside, of high quality and chic styling. Breakfast is in the main house. There is everything your heart desires, even to the last minute. The owners are very nice and even offer a dinner which changes daily. The farm is centrally located for excursions, just next to the famous Gogafoss. Super service for reasonable...
Awesome place, one of the most comfortable we stayed in on our trip off the beaten path, although this is essentially walking distance to Godafoss waterfall...Great family dinners as well. Oh and they have a very cute little dog and 2 friendly cats to great you everyday!
The best Icelandic experience we have had! I am so glad we picked this place. Room is clean, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is perfect. WiFi is fast. Location is very good (close to the Mývatn baths and Goðafoss).
But it's the people that make the place! Owners Emil and Maria are very very nice! They made us feel very welcomed and like home! They showed us their farm animals and let us feed them...

Very nice Hotel. Coffee and hot chocolate for free all day. Perfect view in the fjord during breakfast. When we've been there in september we had incredible Northern lights, you can see them from the hotel terrace 8-)
Very kind staff, great room, hot tub, clean room, good breakfast. Nothing bad to say about this hotel. We were very happy with our visit
Fantastic location with a breathtaking view. Manager (owner?) was very charismatic and the soul of the hotel. Soft beds and an amazing breakfast.

It couldn't be a better place to chase the Northern lights. The house was perfect tiny and beautiful, also cozy and really comfortable. We didn't have any problem to locate the house and the host was really great with us. The view of the house is stunning, you could wake up and see the mountains. The house supply is really complete. There is enough equipment in the kitchen. There is a good coffee machine...
Saw the aurora right above us even though there was light pollution from across the street! House was comfortable and very convenient with a kitchenette. Space to sleep was comfortable! One can go whale watching nearby in summer time too, apparently!
The owner is amazingly patients and super nice.made us feel welcome and comfortable eventhough we had some requests and many questions and even had to change dates.
Highly recommended!!!
Magic place! We love it so much! So cozy ,pretty, and amazing view!
Gorgeous view, cute stylish little house. The hosts Valtyr and his wife were very nice and give us fantastic info about the area and day trip suggestions in a brochure. I would definitely go back to that place.

I felt compelled to write a review after seeing so many negative reviews about this place. My family of 5 and I stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. It was fantastic. I prefer contactless check in and the process was smooth and all necessary information was communicated effectively. The furniture was nice and the apartment was cute and cozy. There is a washer and dryer along with anything you might need...

Hotel Norduland in Akuyreri was my home away from home for 3 nights. I had originally booked for one night but due to road closure as a result of flooding from the glaciers, I booked additional nights as I needed them to see if the roads would be fixed so I could continue my road trip East on the Ring Road. John and Judy (as well as another staff who worked that weekend) were wonderful. They helped...
The hotel is nicely located, you can easily explore the town on foot. The staff are more than polite and helpful. The room itself was clean and averagely furnished. The breakfast was okay, but not more (we saw a lot more inviting buffets all over Iceland with fresh fruit ecc.). Overall: you can definitely book this hotel if you wish to stay close to the town center or harbour.
I stayed here for one night as part of an organized tour. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Akureyri, within walking distance of major attractions and eateries in town. I enjoyed the breakfast, which included an English breakfast in addition to the usual continental options provided by most hotels. Overall, everything...
Feels I didn't stay in same property as some reviews Location great We were on ground floor, net curtains prevented people outside seeing in .... if its an issue ask to move up a floor ... then complain about no lift No one came & stood in our room .... I'd imagine each door had a different code Reception girl was excellent on check in & later when we caught her for a chat Breakfast was standard fayre...
Well……we are continuing our Rim Road road trip. Once again, this hotel was selected by our tour company so we don’t know the cost. Everything is simple and plain. Breakfast was just a continental breakfast with no hot items. The best part of our stay was room 15. It was an oversized corner room that could have slept 3. We definitely utilized the extra space. Nice location too.
The room was in a building across the street from the hotel. It was old, the window sill was mouldy and creaky. The bathroom was also tiny. Breakfast was ok, but limited in options. Good location for exploring the north of Iceland.
