Disappointing second stay with poor staff response to noise issues

Place

This was my second time staying at the hotel, but the experience was completely different from the first. The property is a bit worn and in need of care.

Staff

The staff felt neutral and below hospitality standards. When serious issues arose, they were unable or unwilling to handle them properly. Communication was also difficult, as English was limited.

Room

Rooms were average but functional, with spacious bathrooms. Nothing special, but they served their purpose.

Facilities

The buffet had decent salads but very limited warm options, even running out of rice on one evening. The food tasted fine but was not remarkable. One of the lifts frequently got the door stuck, which caused delays with only one in operation.

Noise & Experience

The second night was extremely unpleasant. Guests in neighbouring rooms were loud, slamming doors, shouting, and playing music late at night between 10 pm to past midnight. A teenage group next door created chaos with loud music, drinking, slamming doors and windows, banging on the walls, and noise until the early hours. Despite repeated calls and complaints to reception, nothing effective was done. He just called them and they disregarded the warning. We knocked on the door and asked to stop, to which they did, but only the music. The rest continued. Then we went down to the reception and the receptionist was asleep on the couch, and when he finally acted, he withdrew midway to the room, and his solution was to move us to another room just a few doors away from the noisy room. To not only our surprise, there were people sleeping in the room, and after multiple attempts, we finally got a quiet room at 4am, only to wake up three hours later for our onward journey.

Overall

While the location and facilities are acceptable, the lack of control over noise and the poor response from staff made this stay very disappointing. If given the choice, I would not return to this hotel.

Average hotel. Only one electric outlet in the room for charging phones. Wood floor was clean . Has a bath tub but no water stopper. Breakfast and dinner buffet are average.

Needs improvement !
It is a dated place.
I expected more...
