We spent a week as a family in this hotel. The latter is located in a strategic and very quiet position in San Candido, perfectly connected to the area ski resorts. This is our fifth time at the caravan park hotel, and each time is a better experience. Besides the usual great spa, we enjoyed the treatment area with a sports massage and a facial, which were really good. To top it off, dining with the cuisine proposed by Chef Saverio Fiore is worth the trip alone.

Very nice and comfortable bungalow, during the week the spa area is with little people, so it was perfect, not so during week-ends. The restaurant was very pricey for the service. Wow! This place is amazing. Gorgeous setting in the Dolomites. The spa contains a bunch of saunas- all different temperatures, humidities and “ themes”. If you’re into sauna bathing, that is the BEST! Staff is excellent.

As is typical of Cortina d'Ampezzo, the facilities aren't modern. That's true everywhere else, so I have no complaints. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, so it's all forgivable! The only downside was the lack of an elevator, which made carrying luggage a bit of a hassle. The simple breakfast provided was also a nice touch.

Overall, it was good, clean, and the breakfast was decent, but the rooms were a bit small.

While the lobby smells a little dated, our room had been renovated with wooden flooring, which gave it the pleasant feel of a homely cottage. The bathroom was still an older style, but it was clean.

A hotel with an air of times gone by. Rooms are large, but a bit bare and even a bit cold. The common areas are very nice, taking you back to the last century. Parking is limited. Staff are a bit sparse, though friendly and attentive. Breakfast is so-so.

Hotel Alaska Cortina is in a great central location and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and the breakfast buffet was great. They also provided a nice packed breakfast on the day we checked out as we had a very early start. The only downside is that it is a bit dated, but that didn’t have any impact on our stay.

I arrived in Cortina d'Ampezzo by bus from Venice. The bus stop was in front of the church, the city's symbol, so it was a two-minute walk to the hotel, a two-minute walk to the main street, a 15-minute walk to the Tofana Gondola, and a 10-minute walk to the Olympic Center (bus stop for Tre Cime). The location is good, but parking is difficult. Parking costs 40 euros per day. However, the front desk staff provided excellent service. The black employee who worked the evening shift was so friendly that it was the first time I felt like tipping in Italy.

Checked in at around 4pm. The service was relatively slow and we were required to write down our credit card details on a piece of paper which is uncommon for newer hotels. The card I was issued had issue and I had to circle back and forth to the reception which wasn’t the best experience.

We stayed one night, slept well, the room was spacious, and we had a good breakfast (which was brought forward upon our request). The only thing I can recommend is a sign indicating where the hotel parking is located (they're currently undergoing construction), and it was difficult to find. If I have the chance, I'll definitely return to that property.
