Hotels in San Giovanni Rotondo

The staff were very accomodating. We were given an upgrade to larger room when our initial room was too small for our family. Was very impressed with their service, location was great and compliments to Biagio in the restaurant. We arrived to breakfast just as they were finishing up, but they were so accomodating and welcomed us all the same. Going the extra mile. Very happy with the service, will...

A hotel where many groups gather. It seems a bit far from the city. There's a swimming pool, and the room layouts vary considerably depending on the section you're in (newer or older). The bar is rather inefficient… we gave up trying to get a glass of white wine as an aperitif or with our meal. The staff isn't very welcoming (even rather curt). The room was clean but not very spacious. If you're near...

We stayed at this hotel for a few days, and I highly recommend it. It's a huge building, yet equipped with every comfort. Spacious and clean rooms, a half-Olympic pool and a children's pool, and also within the hotel is the "Factory," a fantastic pub/burger joint/beer joint/pizzeria. If you want to visit the sanctuary but also have some fun, we highly recommend this hotel. Nando & Pia

The mattresses should be changed, they are not suitable for a 4 star hotel

The service was good and the facilities were adequate. A very good experience.

We chose a mid-range room and received a triple room with a balcony. The pool (four 25-meter lanes with starting blocks) and the fitness center (equipped for weight training, dumbbells, and boxing) were excellent. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The air conditioning and refrigerator in the room were a bit weak. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. The surrounding area, such as the Gargano...

The room! They are doing renovations and outside of the room, they built an extended patio for all of the rooms. Scaffolding everywhere, the room looked like a jail cell. There was a tiny refrigerator with water and a safe. The bathroom door didn’t close. It would have been nice to have prior notice rather than just walk into it

Ample parking when I was there. The location is pretty close to St Pio. But must drive.

Excellent location, and all the amenities, full recomended

Staff could be more friendly. This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel. Great location

The staff were lovely. The rooms and the AC was great. The pool needed a little clean but the kids loved it all the same. I definitely would stay here again when I come back

I liked the easy accessibility to St Padre Pio by simply crossing the street. The room was also very nice with a lovely pool to cool off. Excellent breakfast buffet. The parking however in the garage was insufficient & the elevators were a bit slow. Overall a great experience!

Beautiful Hotel, elegant dinning room, great service! Convinient close to Padre Pio Shrine, Santuary, churches! I will be coming back to Hotel Valle Rossa most definitely!♡😍♡🤩♡

Hotel desk staff were pleasant and helpful. rooms are small but functional. Lighting in rooms is a bit dim and showers are quite small but we managed. the staff in the restaurant were so much fun our first evening we laughed and laughed. Antonella and Guiseppe were outstanding though all in the dinning room were great! they catered to our requests and even brought a special dinner with soup to one...

Four star hotel Clean and classy hotel. Well maintained. Location is convenient.

Hotel was located on a hillside near the St Pio Church. TV: All channels were Italian. The smart TV did allow me to view YouTube. Bed: Hard mattress but king size Bathroom: Very small water closet for shower. Soap, shampoo, hair cap, and blow dryer. Small room with closet, dresser, and table. Motorized metal shades for door to veranda. Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, hotdogs, juice, coffee, breads,...

Sound proofing of the rooms is terrible, every sound transfers to the other rooms, doors do not limit passage niise

The hotel is nice, the staff are friendly, kind and provide service with a great attitude. Breakfast is good, there is a lot to choose from.

The rooms and the facilities are very good

Clean rooms and the breakfast were amazing

Staff was great. Rooms were clean. Food was awesome and a great location between center of town and the shrine to Padre Pio

Brill location close to pio church and town centre dont miss scruffy duffy bar best place in san giovanni for food snd drink !!!!5 mins walk fro hotel finni where staff were super to chat with as taught me some basic italian , really nice friendly hotel and people

Staff are friendly and go above and beyond. Giuseppe was fantastic and provided many ideas of where to eat authentic food and he didn’t disappoint.

Great location. Very helpful, nice and friendly staff. The best place to stay.

Very close to the Sanctuary of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, it is only 3-4 mins walking uphill, ideal location to stay for pilgrims. Also close to the hospital. There are a few restayrants nearby. The hotel is about 7-8 mins drive to the town centre. The room was clean, bowever, the shower was a bit too snall. Good air circulation in the room. The breakfast was just ok.

Our stay was simply amazing hotel and staff were great!

The staff were outstanding; very friendly, helpful and attentive. Room is spacious and clean. Walking distance to Padre Pio basilica and restaurants.

Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Waiters were very nice. Excellent location. Easy and free parking.

Best location for a Padre Pio visit Best location, take the stairs (or use the elevator) walk 100m and you are at the Padre Pio ”area”, parking included, strong aircon a important feature when it’s 32 deg outside, good breakfast but dinner was fairly basic, we where the only guest when we can but some more came after us.

The hotel was in a great location, and it was very easy to walk to all of the places. The hotel staff, specifically Domenico, was very helpful with barking. I was a little stressed about the parking and he came right out and helped me. He then came out again to check on us. The parking is easy just make sure you enter in the right direction. The restaurant was very nice and the rooms are very good...

Stayed in the annex, quiet, clean, and with parking. Spacious room. However, for check-in, check-out, and breakfast, you have to go to the main building, located across the street. Friendly staff.

Terrible food Rooms are fine. Good service. Absolutely terrible food!!!!!

Staff are very helpful and careful. Breakfast is very good Room is quiet and comfortable Very good location

The room is clean. Breakfast is taken on a very near walking distant hotel. Very good breakfast. Reception at the lobby is friendly.

the hotel is excellent, the food is great. the staff are accommodating the only negative thing is. you need to walk uphill to go to the church/ Shrine.

We had a very pleasant stay. Located in a privileged area for nature, the hotel is close to the main tourist attractions. I would like to highlight the friendly and professional service of Rosella, Lazzaro, Benedetta and Massimo. Congratulations on your management and empathy!

Best hotel ever! Very close to everything shrine, bus, and restaurants! The front desk, the lady, black long hair (sorry forgot her name but this was on Nov. 19 in the afternoon) she assisted us very friendly and helpful. The hotel-comfortable bed and clean room.

Perfect location for the area visited. Hotel facilities and ambiance are great.

Thin walls. Can hear people chatting next room/door.

Hotel was ok. Skip the breakfast option if not included in your stay, not worth the extra price you may have to pay.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Great breakfast. Location convenient for bus and churches

Feels Like Home — Every Single Time Since 2012 I don’t just stay at Hotel Colonne — I return to it, year after year. Since 2012, it’s been my sanctuary in San Giovanni Rotondo. Cleanliness? Spotless. Always. Staff? Angela and Mateo are true gems — warm, welcoming, and the heart of this hotel. Location? Unbeatable. Just steps from the bus station and a straight walk to Padre Pio’s church. And the...

Satisfactory experience, good quality food.

I like The place an a quite Place

We were excited to stay at a place with a playground for our children, but the playground was a little worse for wear. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. It was nothing fancy, but completely adequate. Breakfast items could have been fresher.

Helpful staff, and quality of breakfast and dining in general.

An unplanned lunch stop that was very satisfying and delicious. There was a 3 course tourist menu available for €15 but we were not very hungry and just ordered the seafood pasta dish Troccoli allo scoglio €12. The pasta was cooked al dente and quantity perfect. Seafood in abundance and various with clams, prawns, squid, mussels and scampi. You can taste the flavours of the sea in the sauce which we...

Loved this beautiful town and hotel! A must see!

The room was spotless! The receptionist took his time to provide more information on local bus transportation to Monte Sant’Angelo. The hotel is a stone’s throw away from Padre Pio sanctuary. They offer free breakfast with decent options.

Hotel San Pio is so convenient to stay near the bus station and walkable to church.

Friendly staff and good location. Room only have one window which was high on a 12 feet wall and unreachable. Not like pictured.

Breakfast was always a must. Easy walking distance to the church. Friendly staff.

I stayed only one night at this hotel. It was very good — clean, and the staff was very friendly, at least the one who helped me during check-in. He spoke English, so I was able to communicate well with him. I don’t remember his name, but he was very kind. Honestly, it was a very good experience. I recommend it.

A more flexible checking in to allow hotel customers check in a little early with considerations for human conditions such as long hours of travel and the stress of being on the road for a day or two. Checking in at 11.00 am to 12-.00 pm. Will be helpful and boost the moral of the hotel.

The staff are helpful & friendly too. Location is not too far from the Padre Pio Shrine.

I'm leaving this well-deserved review for the Hotel Margherita. Impeccable cleanliness, excellent food. The property is in an excellent location, just steps away from the Padre Pio shrine. Plus, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the garden, with a beautiful view that even extended to the sea in the distance. The experience exceeded all expectations (for a 2-star hotel, I was a little skeptical...

I stayed at the Hotel Margherita for three days and was completely satisfied. It's located just steps from the Padre Pio Shrine, yet in a quiet area where you can rest peacefully. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a private panoramic balcony, comfortable bed and pillows, a bathroom with a window, and impeccable cleanliness. As detailed on the booking portals, the rooms do not have air conditioning...

When we arrived we felt at ease, coffee was kindly offered. Clean hotel expertly managed by Mrs. Ivana and her husband. Possibility of having lunch at the restaurant, with reservation, there are groups of pilgrims and tourists who arrive together so it is advisable to book. Kindness and I am available for any requests.

Location-9 Location very beautiful in detail Room-9 Gorgeous room with towel, placemats for each person. Small but comfortable Breakfast-10 Gorgeous breakfast with jams (including honey) and grissinbon biscuits packaged 2 by 2 of the legendary song "GrissinBon" Price-9 Excellent value for money. The Hotel Margherita deserves 3.5 stars also for its service and its bilingualism (Italian, German and...

I went to the restaurant of this recommended hotel, and I had a great time. Greeted by a very kind lady, she already granted us car parking in the space reserved for hotel guests, and even, considering the very cold and rainy day, she accompanied us with her car to the entrance of the large church... which anyway it is very close to the hotel restaurant. Then at 1pm we returned for lunch and here too...

Perfect place to stay for our one night visit to Loreto easy to walk to the church staff very friendly and helpful.

The reception assisted us on our taxi for 5 am trip to the station.

The location was great for our visit. It was really close by the Padre Pio sanctuary and surrounded with several food options. The number one highlight was our service provided by Johnny who helped us and prepared us breakfast for our travels around SG Rotondo and to Mont Saint'Michel. Our biggest gratitude to Johnny for taking care of us despite our language barrier ❤️

Nice little spot. Bar/tavern located at rear or property. Close to restaurants. Rooms are clean and simple. Good value for money. Breakfast included. Coffee, juice, croissant and yogurt.

Great place to stay, close to Santa Maria delle Grazie. Clean room with a decent breakfast.

Great location, just like 3 minutes waking from the main places. Room and bathroom very clean, breakfast could be better.

Beautiful We stayed for 1 night on our way from Pescara to Castallans Grotte. It was a magical find, beautiful place. Serene and scenic and staff lovely and welcoming

Lovely place, sublime genuine cuisine with local products as well as having met hospitable owners especially the owner Franco

I have been attending this farm for some time, and I can only praise the work that Mr. Franco and all the staff do with real passion ... starting from the care and cleaning of the place both inside and outside (lovely) , passing through the kitchen where you can taste homemade dishes as expected in a real farmhouse, to conclude with the warm welcome that makes you feel at home, I can only highly recommend...
