I'm leaving this well-deserved review for the Hotel Margherita. Impeccable cleanliness, excellent food. The property is in an excellent location, just steps away from the Padre Pio shrine. Plus, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the garden, with a beautiful view that even extended to the sea in the distance. The experience exceeded all expectations (for a 2-star hotel, I was a little skeptical), but instead we were amazed, because we were truly treated to a very attentive service, in every respect. Finally, I extend my compliments to all the staff, from the friendly gentleman who served us to the cleaning lady, and especially to Ivana, the owner, who immediately made herself very helpful and kind, even over the phone. I highly recommend staying at this property; it was a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Rosa.

I stayed at the Hotel Margherita for three days and was completely satisfied. It's located just steps from the Padre Pio Shrine, yet in a quiet area where you can rest peacefully. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a private panoramic balcony, comfortable bed and pillows, a bathroom with a window, and impeccable cleanliness. As detailed on the booking portals, the rooms do not have air conditioning, but the French windows and fan allow for good air circulation and ensure a good night's sleep. Francesco, a kind and empathetic man, welcomed me warmly, making me feel at home right away. The hotel restaurant, equipped with air conditioning, offers a variety of delicious, plentiful dishes. The dining room staff is professional, friendly, and always attentive to guests' needs (thanks to the breakfast staff for their attentiveness, to Enrico for his cheerfulness, and to Pino for his thoughtfulness). The quality of the services offered at a reasonable price reflects the manager's professionalism and honesty. I recommend Hotel Margherita to anyone looking for a well-kept, family-friendly stay, excellent value for money, a strategic location, and fabulous staff!

When we arrived we felt at ease, coffee was kindly offered. Clean hotel expertly managed by Mrs. Ivana and her husband. Possibility of having lunch at the restaurant, with reservation, there are groups of pilgrims and tourists who arrive together so it is advisable to book. Kindness and I am available for any requests.

I went to the restaurant of this recommended hotel, and I had a great time. Greeted by a very kind lady, she already granted us car parking in the space reserved for hotel guests, and even, considering the very cold and rainy day, she accompanied us with her car to the entrance of the large church... which anyway it is very close to the hotel restaurant. Then at 1pm we returned for lunch and here too a nice welcome, a lot of friendliness, education and a very nice, basic, clean and tidy restaurant. Very clean bathrooms, well-arranged tables, but above all a family atmosphere, very rewarding, in short, it feels like being at home with friends. Also known as owner Mr. Gaetano, another person like his lady, genuine and very nice. We had 2 first courses each (lasagna and orecchiette) and then grilled sausage and mozzarella and ham with side dishes of chips and roasted aubergines, all accompanied by an excellent wine. Finally, the waiter, who was also friendly considering we were new customers, brought us two excellent pineapple cream and tiramisu desserts, made by the owner, who then also came to talk to us at the table. It will end up with coffee and bitters. In the end we paid the stratospheric sum of €20 per person, which is nothing... truly a lunch to remember for the simplicity and skill of all the restaurant staff. We promised ourselves that the next time we are here, we will return and sorry for the distance between Bari and San Giovanni R., because otherwise we would have always been here on Sundays, we congratulated the owner Gaetano and Mrs., wishing them a lot of luck, because the they deserve. Thank you guys.

My first time in this hotel is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for friendliness, cleanliness of the rooms, excellent value for money... Everything perfect, excellent food at Km 0, from the first approach they make you feel as if you were at home . Highly recommended.

Nice building but no internet service. Good restaurant at the hotel but not reliable service. Dinner is not always available, for example. Other than that, it is very close to the Sanctuary of Padre Pio
