Pure relaxation! A peaceful location, lovingly run by Christian and his sisters; I felt very welcome and excellently looked after. Delicious cuisine, the Spaghetti allo Scoglio à la Christian is legendary. 7 minutes to the beach. I'll be back! 😎

Simply top !!! This is the second time we have returned (for 3 weeks full board) and we look forward to returning next year as well. For a real holiday without confusion and fake entertainment but in a familiar, welcoming environment with a stellar cuisine.

We weren't familiar with this property; it's not just a hotel, but a resort with entertainment both day and night. I'd say it's excellent value for money, both for breakfast and the food, with a choice of three starters and main courses. The beautiful structure on the sea... (La Castellana mare)...elegant and spacious apartments ..beautiful big swimming pool. Pity that the ants were part of the apartment, the beach is small and not livable. The property has 2 nuclei linked by a shuttle (but not in the evening) ..so some discomfort x who wants to go down to the sea and for those who want to participate in the activities from the village...

Excellent village, pity that I only booked a week. And the price was exceptional. 4 swimming pools, excellent animation, beautiful sea. Nearby, at 5 km from the country's Diamond beautiful. Very good ice cream.

For those who love the rest and can be an oasis of peace. The cuisine is simple and tasty and the facilities offered to step in with facilities of the same level. Sin for the absence of wifi that would have been an added value for the television frequencies are scarce, and tvs a bit too small.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for one night and had a wonderful time. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The pool was clean. We had dinner in their restaurant and it was fantastic! The service was great.

The training that I was one of the participant used this place as a venue, which I am so happy that they did. We stayed there 5 nights. They were so kind and the food we had were delicious. I also had the opportunity to volunteer in the mornings at the farm. What a gem! As a side note, I observed families visiting this place on the weekends... they have a small zoo for kids

It's ok. Good food, not too much, not too little for the main course. A bit disappointed with the "antipasto", it was small but delicious. You'll love the mansion and the acre of land they have, a swimming pool (make sure not to use it after dining) and different animals. The poor pony was under the sun, 35 degrees with flies in its eyes. Ask for the black pork as second course (when they have it)

Unfortunately not many people speak English or any other foreign language. Be prepared to use a translator. They provide regular bus drive to the beach. But beware od the "all inclusive" option. Very quiet after season. Beautiful view of the ocean from the room. Clean, exelent service, good food. Breackfast, lunch & dinner served. Good bar. We are at the end of traveling for 3 weeks 1800klm throughout southern Italy. Candace & I book "on the fly" and this was one of the best. Stayed a second night. Short drive to supermarket if needed.

couple of things I didn't like about the stay . They do not have any wheel chair ramps or stroller ramps so take that into consideration if you have a child or if you need assistance. Also WIFI did not work at all " Vodafone is down" we paid to have wifi on this trip so was disappointed in that . Actually got injured in the pool . There is a step that is not noticeable and I smashed my knee and shin...

I absolutely adore this hotel. It has a quirky late 80s early 90s vibe but super clean, good food and above all else I would highly recommend this hotel for its spectacular gardens! It's so incredibly lush, it's the definition of paradise. The gardeners are super talented. The hotel is well organized for meals and the umbrellas/lounge chairs on the private beach.

Our third yearly visit, feels like you are back with family. The breakfasts are good, I just wish the evening menus gave more choice. The beach is just a minute walk away and you get a dedicated sunbeds for the length of your stay. The swimming pool is nice too. Of course the Thyreann Sea is just the clearest you could wish for. Cross the road is the private beach very nice to relax. Easy to park. The most important thing is the staffs are all very helpful and friendly. The food is nice and we enjoyed our experience very well.

I was here with my familiy few days ago and I enjoed this hotel so much. Beach wasn't so far about 5 minutes. The animation were so good and before baby dance there was a junior club with Gabrielle where you can play football and others. Big YES for this place.

Stayed here for 1 night in a Junior Suite, 1 bedroom (sea facing) while travelling from Tropea to Positano. Hotel is located on 2 sides of the main road and drove by it coming in as signage was a bit poor. Check in was ok. Staff who spoke English wore a name tag with the English flag noted on it. Room was a bit dirty on arrival and 2nd bed for my son was not set up. Room was over-looking the pool area...

We stay in modern part which is closer to the beach, rooms are ok however very small.. If you dont pay extra, you get the view to the busy steeet. Double bed for small children not the best option and there is nothing else to choose from. What is really wierd, requirement to swim in swimming caps at the outdoor pools…. Food is good, especially pasta :) Service very friendly.

The general spaces of the hotel desperately need modernization, but the "resort" part is nice after reconstruction. Avoid the village part though. Food is great, Beach and sea are great. Employees speak very little english.

Riviera de lux room. The room is small. For 2 people with luggage for a long stay, I suppose, impossibly small. For 1 person is more or less suitable. Hotel is clean. Quality of food matches 3***. Once a week hotel offers a special menu. Private beach is very clean. Big balcony. Staff is very polite. In general service is very good. Hotel is situated near the city center.

The hotel is very conveniently located: close to the old town and the beach, and a five-minute walk from a large supermarket. The train station is a 20-minute walk away. Although the common areas of the hotel need renovation, my room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. I felt very comfortable.

Hotel Scalea is a welcoming structure, located a few meters from the center. Thanks to its position it is possible to reach any place in no time. Very nice and helpful staff, as it was possible to postpone the holiday without any problem. Recommended place!

A paradise for those who want to relax. The pool overlooking the sea is surrounded by plants and flowers, which give it pleasant colors and convey a feeling of peace. Absolutely amazing property. This was the last stop on our 5 week tour of southern Italy and Sicily, and a perfect way to end our trip. A beautiful, well maintained property. We were the only guests on a night in mid May. The patio surrounds a sparkling pool and has loungers and seating. Unobstructed views of the bay. The room was well equipped and there was strong wi Fi throughout the property. Breakfast was fresh, more than ample and served at a table on the patio. Sergio, the manager was a delight. The upstairs suite is in a shared area with the owner. The WiFi also doesn’t consistently reach. This can feel as though you are intruding so it may be more comfortable to book a regular room.

We traveled 7 motorbykes, 10 friends and I must say that the service was TOP! The hotel has parking space behind the hotel, very safe space. Clean, big rooms. The sandy beach is only few minutes away :) It was really hot, when we arrived, so we asked the host if he had some cold drinks. He provide everything. So we seat and chill in the shadow around the big ceramic table,..... :) And for the end...

We stayed just one night during a trip to Calabria, having chosen this hotel to visit Arco Magno beach, and we had a wonderful time. Mrs. Nadia is very kind and friendly, and we had a pleasant chat with her upon our arrival. The building is very well-maintained, the room is dated but spotlessly clean; the highlight was the breakfast on the terrace with fresh, freshly picked fruit. Highly recommended

We first found the hotel because of the available electric car charger. Our car had to recharge for a couple of hours so we ask the host Nadia if she could help us finding an available taxi at 2pm. After one phone call and 10min the taxi arrived and we were able to go to the beach. The taxi driver came later to pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We stayed at this hotel from July 20th to 24th with our two dogs (one medium-sized and one small). We stayed in a room with a lovely terrace with a panoramic sea view. It was a great pleasure to stay in Hotel Normans. There is a fantastic view from our room, where it is possible to see the sea, the beach and the island of Dino. Also we had a great dinner based on fish. The price are non expensive and the receptionist were very welcoming.

Resort equipped with sll conforts, with large green spaces, a wonderful swimming pool and impeccable service, young, friendly abd helpful staff. We purchased an extra spa path for a fee and it was very relaxing. The beaxh is clean and the sea is very beauriful.

I appreciate the wide selection of food. I want to highlight the preparation of fresh types of food as unique. One was still grilled and the other freshly prepared pasta. I have not come across this anywhere. please keep it up.I was very satisfied with everything. The only complaint is that I also pre-paid for drinks. However, these were not always fully available.

Gaetano, our host, is great. Kind, hospitable, and accommodating. Service is his specialty and it shows.

This is a really lovely B&B in Praia a Mare. The hosts Gaetano and Antonella are extremely kind and welcoming, and made sure that we had everything we needed. The food, made by Antonella, was delicious! The location is great if you want to be able to walk around town.

We really enjoyed our stay at Al Vecchio Pioppo. Gaetano went out of his way to welcome us and make us feel at home. The room was charming and comfortable, and it was a short walk to the beach.
