Charming trullo in in Valle d’Itria, AC, free WIFI & parking Hotel
Cisternino, Cisternino, Apulia, 72014, Italy
The cultural landscape you meet with in the triangle of the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Táranto... is unique in the world: nature and culture of the picturesque landscape of Valle d’Itria are fascinating. Lovely to behold cone-shaped trulli roofs peek out from in between well-tended almond and olive groves encircled by white stone walls.
The trulli, well into the 1930s still home of the poor rural population, are a Monumento Nazionale today and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. For quite some years now, they have been experiencing a renaissance as original and unique living and holiday accommodations.
The room climate in the houses is near perfect. Traditionally constructed of massive natural stone, these round-shaped houses keep out the heat in summer and the warmth inside in winter.
Like a phoenix from the ashes
Elaborately renovated, Villa Natalino stands to be admired in new splendor today (2017) and offers a refined ambience. The white-washed trullo for 5 persons lies picturesquely on a small rise somewhat outside the town of Cisternino, where you might stroll through the well preserved and lively Old Town in the evening.
Your holiday accommodation is surrounded by well-tended premises, which include a paved courtyard, palm trees, an outdoor shower, a large furnished terrace with 'sun protection', grill and pizza oven and an outdoor kitchen in a separate trullo. It is a perfect location to enjoy holidays out in the open, under the warm Apulian sun. Children have got enough space for playing and romping around on the fenced premises.
Comfort and modern design
Stylish and modern furnishing characterizes the rooms of Villa Natalino. The trullo with its spacious annex includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a cozy living room with picture windows, a fully equipped kitchen, underfloor heating, air conditioning and WiFi.
The light-flooded living room of Villa Natalino includes an elegant dining area and a comfortable sofa corner with two leather sofas and fireside, the latter, however, only a decorative element. From the dining area, a staircase runs down to the garage.
There is another, small dining area in the open kitchen with its modern and fully equipped kitchenette. The light-colored, concrete-style worktop and the dark wood veneer form a perfect contrast. The cooking area under the cone-shaped trulli roofs offers what you need: induction cooktop, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dish washer and coffee machine are a matter of course at Natalino’s trullo.
Two of the three bedrooms of the holiday home are furnished with double beds. One of the doubles has an en suite bathroom. The third bedroom is furnished with a super single bed (width 1.20 m). There is a TV (Sat-TV) in each bedroom.
Furthermore, there are two more bathrooms within the house and one in the outdoor area below the terrace. The bathrooms are modern in design and include WC, bidet and shower.
A washing machine, fly screens, a safe and several parking spaces as well as a garage on the fenced premises are part of the villa’s high standard concerning comfort.
Cisternino & surroundings: excursions, shopping, beaches, restaurants
The nearest shopping facilities, grocery stores and restaurants are found only ca. 800 m off. The Old Town of Cisternino with bars, pizzerias and more restaurants is about 2 km from your holiday home.
Discover the many faces of Apulia during your stay. The sea and the nearest beaches at Rosa Marina are ca. 12 km off. Absolutely fascinating – the nature reserve around the town of Torre Guaceto, a small headland jutting out into the Adriatic Sea and famous for its idyllic dune landscape. Kilometers of sandy beaches and excellent water quality are also found on the Ionian side of the Italian heel – the region is a real paradise for water bugs.
However, Apulia offers more than the sea. Everywhere you meet with influences from the Orient and the Occident and with a fascinating, eventful history. UNESCO World Heritage listed Alberobello with its agglomerate of trulli and charming Ostuni, the so-called “white town”, are only 15 km off.
The town of Lecce, the “Florence of the South”, with its Baroque splendor should not be missing on your to-do-and-to-see list for Apulia. And, in case it is true that pasta makes you happy, then this part of Italy is paradise on earth. Those who love „pasta fatta in casa“, fresh fish and seafood are sure to get their money’s worth there.
