Hotel Caravelle in Cattolica

With a great deal of adaptability, we managed to finish the booked week.
As soon as we arrived, we climbed two flights of stairs to the reception and were asked to carry our bags without any offer of help. We then noticed some very dirty, comfortable white sofas (probably from the beginning of the season) and went into the room.
The room was very small, with a double bed measuring 190 cm long and a gap of about 30 cm at the foot of the bed. Then there was a small desk that can only be accessed by sitting on the bed. Next to it was a wardrobe, of which only one door could be opened because the other door was against the bed (so the drawers couldn't be opened). There were only two power outlets behind the bedside tables for the bedside lamps (so to charge our phones, we had to forgo the bedside light). It was impossible to contact reception from the room. The TV was intermittent, the minibar was out of order, the Wi-Fi was extremely slow, and the air conditioning was noisy. The second French window also couldn't be opened because it was against the aforementioned wardrobe. The room and balcony were spotlessly clean, but towels were changed daily.
The dining room was spotless, with sticky floors and dirty glass. We came across glasses with lipstick residue and dishes with food residue. We didn't find the famous Romagna cuisine, but we did find a chef skilled at reinterpreting recipes and recycling leftovers.
We enjoyed the two yoga classes offered by the hotel.
Kudos to the small staff, who, by jumping through hoops, try to keep a rundown establishment running. At checkout, I had to insist on getting a receipt for my payment.

Terrible experience. The room wasn't clean, and the bathroom was full of hair from previous guests. Food was insufficient and of poor quality. Staff was confused... Total disorganization. Dirty pool, no lifeguard, and terrible entertainment... They promised us a garage and beach included in the price, but upon arrival I was told we'd have to pay extra for the garage and beach. We booked the full board package, and they charged for coffee after lunch and dinner. A disgrace!! The only positive thing was the friendly waiter.
