Tre Merli Beach Hotel in Trieste

We are very disappointed with the stay. No free parking.
Room small, dirty.
Photos of rooms are generic, do not show the view, right on the street noisy.
Lack of at least 1 free water, mini bar to pay for everything
Terrace completely smashed and it is impossible to look at the sea
Breakfast you have to mark what you want and they don't even bring half of it
No buffet to eat little.
We would advise anyone against this and report it.

The worst experience in Italy

Despite requesting a quiet room away from the road more than a month in advance, I was assigned a room right next to the road. They told me that all the standard rooms faced the road, but they didn't provide me with this information before my arrival. From the room, the constant noise of traffic was audible even during the night. Additionally, there were continuous creaks in the wooden ceiling of the room. The room was dirty, with the toilet brush fallen and water spilled around the bathroom. Furthermore, there were ants on the sofa bed. While there was a coffee machine in the room, but they charged 2 euros for each capsule of Illy coffee. Such low-quality coffee should be complimentary. A sign on the refrigerator prohibited personal use. From the common terrace/solarium, you could hear the noise of the train, traffic, voices of neighbors, and sports activities from the nearby Circolo Marina Mercantile. Additionally, when it was windy, they refused to open the umbrellas, and there were no shaded areas. There was no beach; instead, there was only access to the water from a cement area with a ramp and a staircase, leading to an area of deep water with large rocks. In the afternoons, they asked us to fill out a paper with our breakfast preferences (how much of each food we wanted) for the next day. Nonetheless, the breakfast service was slow and disorganized. In my opinion, all of these issues are unacceptable for accommodation, especially considering the price of 328.40 euros for 2 nights.

This review is based completely on the terrible customer service as we never ended up staying at the hotel. The manager (owner?) was rude and unaccommodating. He did not care at all whether we stayed or not and was dismissive and condescending - completely the opposite of the customer service we have almost always enjoyed in Italy. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

I almost never write negative reviews, but with his experience it's not what happened, it's how we were treated by the staff. We booked the hotel for our honeymoon, and I specifically chose it Bc it was air conditioned, followed by the style and location. AC is not just a nice to have for me- in the heat of th summer I need it Bc my body has a hard time regulating its own temperature.

When we checked in, the room felt very warm but the desk assured us it was Bc we needed to set the thermostat correctly. After a very hot night, in the morning we were told that the ac was in fact broken, but would he fixed today.

We spent the day in th shade by the sea, to return to a room that was still 28 degrees (82 F). Management then informed us that we should feel glad it wasn't as hot as it is outside, that it was going to take numerous hours to get cooler (we have 15 rooms here and you can't be "American cold"), that we should not expect that setting the room to the lower cold temperature allowed (18 degrees) is something we should even do in the summer, and seemed much more concerned about us trying to stand on a chair to see f any cold air was coming out (do not put feet on our chair!) than The sauna in our room.

Again, things happen, ACs break- that is certainly not the staff's fault, but I have not experienced a situation where the staff seems much more concerned arguing with you about how hot it is than trying to address the situation of a clearly concerned and distraught customer.

This was also evident last night when the hotel that claims to have parking as an amenity greeted us with a full parking lot and we were told to "find parking in the street", and the restraurant we were told we could have go dinner is that's part of the hotel unceremoniously ushered us out a few minutes later Bc it had no tables.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the sea view is amazing, but if you'd like to feel like you're in a place that focuses on guest happiness and satisfaction, select another hotel. I certainly wish we had.

Sry, not enough storage space, no respect for privacy and just in time clearing the breakfast buffet. So we will never visit this hotel and we also can't recommend this hotel.

location is great, the little house closest to the sea shore has a great view, service is OK, owners of the facility strict and not too flexible. WiFi speed acceptable jumping between 2-8 Mpbs in both directions.
