Third visit. Perfect place for every visit. Great scenery, professional and friendly staff. Best hotel in Italy.

The environment is very good and unique, but the truffle digging activity is a scam. I suspect it was pre-set. The front desk is likely to overcharge. You must check the bill. But the hotel is very unique and the room is comfortable. The service is a bit of a scam.

I travel often and can say that this is the one of the best hotels in Italy. If you like luxury staying, blowing air full of flower aromas, Michelin 2024 restaurant and high class wines - this place is it. Will come again for sure!

An almost perfect experience. We experienced a car accident during the trip, but the hotel arranged and handled the whole process. The food service was also great, especially the Margherita pizza and T-bone steak.

Overall it is very good and suitable for couples/parent-child travel.

You can watch the sunrise from the backyard. The room is said to be designed by Ferragamo. The bedding is indeed very comfortable. The hotel is on a mountain, and the roads up and down the mountain are dirt roads, which are not easy to drive. There are two restaurants in the hotel. One is a winery. The property was exquisite. The view spectacular and the staff top notch. The indoor and outdoor thermal pools and sauna made our stay very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was amazing.

Everything was 5 star. It’s like living in a castle in the sky with hot thermal pools everywhere and amazing food. We loved our outdoor patio with the sunset view of the panorama.

We stayed two nights midway through travelling around Tuscany. It was a lovely peaceful break for us. We felt very pampered by all of the staff who were superb. Dining by the pool area was lovely. A very happy couple of days.

We could park right in front of our room (free parking overnight & you can easily pay for parking from 8am onwards by cash or by downloading the EasyPark app). It’s a lovely hotel. Reception was nice and the room very clean with an incredible view out the window of the valley behind. No balcony but a Juliet railing with large opening windows. The service at the hotel is excellent. They really take care of you.. The hotel itself is clean however it old. I stayed at the hotel 10 years ago and the conditions are exactly the same not getting any better. Good location but the price is too high for what the hotel offers

Very nice, well-maintained family hotel. Large pool with deckchairs and towels available. Room is decent and clean, but a bit small for three people. Very good breakfast. Free parking is available.

Stable, safe and hygienic, the staff has a good attitude

The location wasn't a big problem because I rented it. It's located on a hillside, so the air is good and it's quiet. The room was a bit small for 3 people in a 2-person room, but there was an outdoor terrace, so we ate simple food outside. The breakfast was simple, European-style, but edible. I had a comfortable 2-night stay.

There’s nothing much nearby. Toilet is very nice with window facing the pool, somehow it’s the highlight for me because it’s cozy and feel like home. The pool is nice! Restaurant is nice and cozy, food is good. Staff isn’t very warm but acceptable.

Nice historical accommodation in the heart of Montalcino. We spent lovely 3 nights here. Is a little bit noisy with the rooms to street, but the staff is amazing, mostly the lady who handle the hotel. Because of her we liked it. Thank you!

Came here as part of a wine tour and impressed by the friendliness, generous portions of food, and excellent wines. The fried pizza dough is not to be missed!

The location was great. The room was very spacious. You need to go inside the wine store to check-in in case you wonder where the hotel is located.

We have had an apartment on the very top of the house with beautiful views from the balcony both to the old town an castle. You can make a nice dinner there with the views. Comfy bed and everything you need for the stay.

Porta Castellana is a small B&B inside of Montalcino. We stayed in one of the larger spaces with a separate living room and 2 bathrooms for 6 nights. This is a quiet location with amazing views. The property also includes parking. Once there you can walk into the town for meals and shopping. The room is in third floor without elevator and it is difficult for any seniors with a luggage. The room was cluttered with too many old things. Very small shower stall but it functions well. Heating works well. Very efficient and kind communications. Nice old kitchen in the second floor but we didn’t use it.
