Hotel Villa Sorriso in Lido di Jesolo

The pictures do not reflect this hotel.It is outdated,in need of renovation and very overpriced.The entrance is scruffy without any clear signage and in the carpark.The room which was called a suite consisted of a double bed,a stained blue seat at a desk and an adjacent room with a single bed and wardrobe.The shower was mouldy ,old and in need of a renovation.The decor (yellow internal doors and blue external doors)was very old fashioned in the hotel and windows needed repair and mould removing. In our bathroom a part had been repaired and the room number was still written on the part.I would not recommend this hotel for value for money or facilities. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. The worst experience of misleading wording I have experienced so far in Italy. The staff at the reception and check in were lovely.Friendly and super professional.It's a shame the hotel standard does not reflect the service the staff give.

In my opinion, the hotel does not deserve four stars: the staff at reception hardly speak any German, or not at all, even though the majority of guests come from Germany and Austria! For three days, the German-language TV did not work at all, and the Italian only worked occasionally (football championship!!!). Complaints were only met with a shrug of the shoulders. The room description on the website does not match reality, there was no large wardrobe, just a wardrobe wall (middle photo), and the alleged sofa bed did not exist at all. The third photo shows the lower side of the balcony on the upper floor.... The only positive thing was the breakfast - we were asked twice, more or less politely, for our room number. Apparently they thought we were "free flashes". It should also be noted that - although the first four rows on the beach were almost empty - there was only one place in the fifth row. They pointed out that I could have complained - don't they know about the occupancy of the beach? I had the impression that the staff more or less didn't care about the guests and that complaints were seen as a nuisance. Once and never again!!!!!
