Carlton Hotel in Lido di Jesolo

Jesolo is about 40 minutes away from Marco Polo Airport, Venice. A taxi ride should cost you between €80-90. We spent 2 September nights here, enjoying the outdoor patio as well as the inside dining room with its vast array of appetizers (cold cuts of prosciuttos, salamis and cheeses), and desserts like cakes, puddings, and gelato. The main meal was prepared in the kitchen and I had a salmon with roasted potatoes that was made to perfection. A great calm and peaceful walks around the hotel are yours to enjoy.

We only spent three nights here at the end of the season, but everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful and clean, the staff are extremely kind and helpful, breakfast was wonderful and dinner was elegant and delicious. Usually, I don’t enjoy hotel dinners, but here the food was really excellent. There was plenty of parking available in the closed courtyard. All in all, this is the perfect hotel for anyone visiting Lido.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Carlton. All the staff, from the chamber maids to the receptionists and waiters were extremely helpful and attentive, making us feel ver welcome. The staff went the extra mile, giving us a ride to the local stadium as we needed to be there early rather than relying on local transport and were very helpful booking our taxi to the airport. The public rooms are beautiful with views out to the sea from the restaurant. A lovely covered terrace to sit on in the shade ( or in our case out of the rain) overlooking the beach. Just steps from the beach with plenty of complementary sun beds and umbrellas. The restaurant was lovely with good choice for breakfast, with eggs cooked to your liking. The evening meal was 30 euros per head but was good value with a buffet, then a starter, main course, cheese and dessert, all with excellent service. A special word about Paula from Hotel Souvenir, their sister hotel where we were originally booked who was so helpful and efficient in organising our transfer and giving us very helpful information about transport from the airport.

Excellent spot for a family holiday, especially with small children. The rooms are great, the food tasty and fresh, the staff very friendly. WiFi service of decent speed, the room service adapts to your timing and cleans the room without disturbing you. Overall 9.5 out of 10.
