Have you ever been to a hot spring inn and thought to yourself, "This is nice, but what if it was a western-style business hotel?" And I don't mean that in, like, a negative way, but it's the easiest way to describe the mood of this place.
The rooms have a little sliding door to divide the sleeping space from the bathroom and entryway, with the Shingen family crest for local flavor. The shower and bed are pretty big by Japanese standards. And the bathhouse on the top floor was a respectable 40C or thereabouts, which some people might think is laughably low for a hot spring, but I'm weak.
The smart TV is multilingual and its menus include which laundry machines are in use and for how much longer, how crowded the bath and restaurant are, and the "no room cleaning needed" button, which feels over-engineered but a door magnet would've been too tacky, I guess.
Definitely a solid choice if Isawa Onsen, ten minutes or so east, is booked up or outside your budget.

Nice hotel, clean rooms and a bath. Would recommend a stay. Don't buy breakfast until the morning of. They like to close it early and would not refund my 3000yen.

It's very nice hotel with beautiful and space rooms. Very nice and friendly staff. Don't have problem speak english. Hotel is close to train station it's about 10 min.walk. good breakfast. I recommend this hotel. Thank you
