It was a super retreat and very peaceful! The staff was very friendly :)!

Note that there is no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in guestrooms, as this is an onsen facility - all soaps and bath amenities are provided in the onsen area

The hotel's breakfast tomorrow is delicious.

The portions were good and tasty for the price, and they're open until midnight, so I had the luxurious experience of eating and drinking to my heart's content and then going straight to bed in my room

To be honest, I didn't have high expectations beforehand. Since it was a weekday, there weren't many people, so I was able to relax and enjoy the large public bath and sauna

Before my bath, I had curry and boiled dumplings at the restaurant on the second floor. I still felt a bit hungry after my bath, so I went to an izakaya on the second floor

A very excellent value for money hotel. Onsen is good, near to eateries and hotel provide free coffee and ramen at night. Breakfast buffet is excellent

The best parts of the hotel include free supper noodles which were yummy, free icecream in evening, free Yakult in morning and massage chairs

Our family stayed three nights at Dormy Inn. We enjoyed our stay, as the rooms were comfortable. The staff was incredible, helping us through our rental car incident, going above and beyond despite the language barrier

The hotel’s onsite parking was very convenient, and the parking security staff were extremely helpful and friendly, guiding us clearly on parking access — something we truly appreciated after a long drive

The room was tiny, and the bed was also quite small – just a single. However, it was well-equipped, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious

The room exceeded my expectations. The name made me think it was a rather old hotel, but it's actually quite new. The lobby on the first floor has a large area suitable for working or meeting guests

There's a 7/11 convenience store nearby, along with many restaurants, which was extremely convenient

Really good hotel for Kofu and great location next to the station. They have 5-6 local wines available- I tried two and really liked one. The onsen is on the roof with a great view

It's good that it has breakfast and a large public bath, but the basics are very ordinary, for better or worse. If you're in a hot spring town, you might want to go elsewhere.

A clean hotel located nearby the amazing Shosenkyo Gorge. The hotel also had its own Onsen which was a nice place to hang out after a long day hiking.

There is a parking lot for easy parking. There are Gyu-Kaku and Matsuya within 100 meters downstairs. Cons: Limited breakfast options

A classic old-school modern hotel with ryokan-type service. The room is huge and has excellent views of the river. On a good day, it should be possible to see Mount Fuji as well

There is also big onsen area with an outdoor bath area. Dinner is served on the ground floor restaurant and it was a delicious multicourse meal which includes really good wagyu steak with wasabi shoyuzuke

I was able to soothe my fatigue from Shosenkyo in Isawa Onsen. The room was spacious and clean, with a modern Japanese style. It was a twin room, but each bed was very large and there were two sinks next to each other

The place is surrounded by nature trees, koi fishes, mount fuji, good air. The dinner and breakfast was excellent with basic Japanese style food

All rooms, bathroom, dining room, lobby all rooms I can't mention are designed originally like old samurai era. We have ceremony dinner which we wore yukatan an jappanese traditional wardrobe

Breakfast is good, options including western or Japanese style. One downside is there is no coin laundry on the premise, and neither is there laundromat within walking distance

I am amazed how spotless my room is, kudos to the house keeping staff. There is men's and women's public bath on the first floor, with indoor and outdoor tubs although not very big

This hot spring hotel has a unique design, a good hot spring layout and rich meals. Some room types also offer private baths with first-class environment. I will definitely go there again if I have the chance.

There are different indoor hot springs, which are large, the environment is very comfortable & beautiful! The meals are also good👍🏻 We drove from Mount Fuji, which took about half an hour

We really enjoyed our stay with our 5 year old It was a treat to stay in a traditional hotel with Yukata and sleeping on Tatami beds. The food was absolutely amazing and very delicately prepared

As I walked through the entrance, I was hit by the smell of incense, but it was so strong it almost felt like I was in a temple. If they're going to offer fragrant hospitality, I'd prefer it to be a faint lingering scent

The bath was equipped with a laundry basket and a lockable locker for valuables, but the locker right next to it was difficult to use from the sink, so I only used the laundry basket

The refrigerator was small, and the toilet was one step higher, so it was a bit of a hassle to get in and out, but the room was spacious overall and not unlivable

Great Ryokan stay with great breakfast and Onsen. Shosenkyo gorge is one of the accessible nearby attractions. It can be accessed by public transportation.

You can take a bath in the hot spring anytime and the service is excellent! The garden view is also beautiful!

Yanagiya is a nice little local onsen. They do not have too many rooms so you will not feel overcrowded. It is a nice place to spend for days to relax your body and mind. Staff are very friendly and helpful

If you are driving, the onsen is easy to find and there is a carpark in front of the Onsen with plenty of space. There are also 2 x EV charging but not sure if they are for onsen guess

The hot spring is open for 24 hrs, except time when they swap between male and female access, usually it takes 30 minutes and they take this opportunity to clean up the facilities too

It is not cheap (Japanese onsen ryokans are all kind of expensive) but compared to popular destination like Hakone it’s pretty good. We find the whole experience worthwhile definitely. Wish to visit again in the future!

There's another Toyoko Inn near Kofu Station, but this one was great because it was cheaper, even though the public transport access was ever so slightly less convenient
