Fantastic, everything was great! The location is superb, and the service was attentive and professional. The food was also good. Even though it rained, the view was still lovely. My mom and I were both very satisfied.

I checked in on a weekend and was upgraded to a sea-view room, with two beds no less! The room was spacious, and the decor seems to have been renovated in the last two years – it's both stylish and comfortable

Good location, less than 1km from Onomichi Station. For those arriving by Shinkansen, the hotel is about 4km from Shin-Onomichi Station. Excellent Japanese breakfast. Only downside: the bed is a bit small.

I had to change Room from a double to a single Room - and the reception made it clear to me that I had booked for 3 nights 1 + 2 nights - not alterer the original booking from 1 to 2 nights

It was not until I checked out that I noticed the room directly opposite was the one that truly had an unobstructed sea view, which makes me seriously question whether this arrangement was intentional or simply a careless mistake

When I asked, "Do I have to pay 1,000 yen in compensation?" the staff member simply replied vaguely, "Yes," then immediately bowed again and continued working, demonstrating an extremely cold and irresponsible attitude

First, if I want to complain about the poor service attitude of hotel staff, what official channels should I use to request a response? Second, even though my single room reservation clearly stated that breakfast was included, the staff member initially denied it and later tried to brush it off by blaming the booking agency

I would like a clear answer as to whether this mistake was the hotel's or the booking agency's responsibility. I booked two rooms in this hotel for a two-night stay, with the reserved room type being ocean-view rooms

One of the booked rooms explicitly included breakfast in the reservation, yet the staff repeatedly denied this fact, leading to a half-hour-long dispute before the issue was finally resolved

When I asked if I had to pay a compensation fee of 1000 yuan, the staff member only gave a perfunctory reply of "yes" and then went back to his work right away, with an extremely cold and dismissive attitude

With the sea right in front of you, it was a great location where you could really feel Onomichi. However, we stayed on a rainy day, so it was a bit of a challenge, even though it wasn't far from the station

Arriving in Onomichi, I discovered that U2, the most iconic building in the area, is a complex of hotels, restaurants, shops, and a cycling club. Even with its industrial style, the details are impeccable

The room layout was very practical, the bathroom had a bathtub and was spacious, and all the toiletries were from Osaji, with a very soothing lavender scent. The only drawback was the lack of body lotion

We arrived late, when the restaurant had already stopped taking orders, but the manager came to the rescue and took our order, and we went to bed full. Very close to the station, ferry, and bike rental

If only going to sleep, it was actually dark enough to relax in! The bath was deep and relaxing, and the amenities were great, too! I don't ride a bicycle, but I'm glad I stayed here

Great design, cozy rooms, a bit chilly in the bathroom because we were there in January. The windows overlooked the harbor, and ships sailed by in the morning, very beautiful

The adjoining cafe was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here both mornings and had an excellent dinner one night. The food was creative, delicious and very satisfying

Great base for bicycle trips from Setoda on the Shimanami kaido route. Great hotel right next to the harbor of Setoda and very helpful personal.

We spent two nights here, and had a lovely stay. We loved the concept, design and location of this place, and the vibe it has brought to what is otherwise quite a quiet little town

The room was lovely - spacious, airy and architecturally thoughtful, with a nice little balcony perfect for a morning coffee

All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay, on a lovely little island

The location is good. Not far from restaurants and river. But the hotel lack of public room or place for group of people sit down and relax. Receptionist are not so helpful.

Note the entrance to the hotel have 6-7 stair steps and you will need to haul luggage up through those steps. Walking distance to plenty of eating places

The room rate was quite high, but the hotel room was comfortable and clean. From Onomichi JR Station, walk right and have Onomichi Ramen at the station shop for 850 yen. Then, find a map and head to the hotel

The hotel is quite old and it shows. The equipment in the rooms was a bit run down and the shower curtain was smelly. The staff was very friendly though and the location is quite convenient.

The next morning, after a can of coffee, I visited Senkoji Park, making every moment count. The hotel's prime location made the above itinerary even more convenient

I would highly recommend anyone doing the shimanami kaido to stay here! It does make for a longer second day to complete the bike ride as it’s before the official halfway point but the hotel it self it absolutely stunning with the onsen we throughly enjoyed everything about this hotel

Fantastic place to stay while riding the Shiminami Kaido. It was comfortable and clean with sufficient amenities. Highly recommended.

It was a great place, with a traditional public bath and plenty of space to enjoy the townscape of Ikuchijima! I'd love to go again!

This place was exactly what I needed after cycling from Imabari. The art here is great and I love the mosaic of the islands in the bathing area. They just opened in March 2021–Highly recommend!

The room is a good size, with a shared toilet and shower on the same floor, which is clean and convenient. The hot spring is located in the main building, easily accessible from the annex

Free private baths are available. The hotel has an indoor private bath that can be reserved for free. We arrived at 6 PM and successfully booked it for 10 PM. It's small, but perfect for a couple

It was a little far from the city center, and the toilet and bathroom were shared, but the hot spring had a restaurant attached, and the food was delicious, which was very helpful

It's about a 15-minute drive from Onomichi and Higashi-Onomichi downtown areas. The front desk staff speaks English

The restaurant uses local ingredients, and it turned out to be the best Thai food I’ve ever had, hands down. Both the room and the dining area offer beautiful views of the sea and the city

The walk is worth it and you will meet many cats. There is a restaurant attached but I haven't been there. The hotel itself is a bit retro, with NHK radio buttons on the bed. Comfy bed, and again, a gorgeous view
