The facilities are outdated. The Himeji Daiwa is better, but the Okayama Daiwa is really bad.

This Daiwa hotel is in a great location, close to the station with lots of restaurants and a lively atmosphere on the surrounding street. I was given a high-floor room when I checked in, and the night view of Himeji Castle was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, the room itself was spacious enough, and it was all clean and comfortable.

This hotel is very close to Himeji Station, just a few minutes' walk.

Hygiene: The hygiene conditions are very clean.

Environment: It's right next to a commercial street with all kinds of shopping and entertainment very close by.

Facilities: The room facilities are very complete, especially the bathtub, which is super comfortable.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel! It's about a 6-7 minute walk from the JR station, perfectly situated between the JR station and Himeji Castle, making it super convenient for sightseeing. There are also plenty of great restaurants within walking distance.

We were a family of three traveling to Himeji and stayed for three nights. We initially booked a Hollywood twin room, but found it wasn't suitable upon entering. After discussing it with the hotel staff, we were able to switch to a 27-square-meter standard room, which we were very happy with. The staff were extremely helpful and kept bowing. What we liked most about this hotel was its location. Looking at Google Maps, there are about 50 restaurants within a 1km radius, and it's only about a 5-minute walk from Himeji Station. In short, the location is unbeatable. It's also very convenient to get to Engyo-ji Temple; one bus takes you directly to the final stop. Oh, and a special mention for breakfast – 800 yen for children and 1800 yen for adults. It's definitely worth trying!

Conveniently located near Himeji station, the hotel is also surrounded by many eateries, convenience stores and shopping streets. Walking distance to Himeji castle and kokuen. Amenities are basic but sufficient. Room is just right and clean. Would definitely come back to this hotel again if I come back to Himeji.

A cozy and comfortable stay in an excellent location, just a short 5-minute walk from Himeji Station. Amenities are conveniently provided on the reception floor. One of the best parts of the stay was the beautiful view of Himeji Castle directly from the hotel — a real highlight. Highly enjoyable stay overall.

Great location, right between Himeji Castle and Himeji Station. It's just one block from Himeji Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. The hotel is surrounded by shopping and dining areas, including popular old coffee shops and oden restaurants. Himeji Castle is also only about a 6-7 minute walk away, and you can enjoy it just by looking at it from the outside. The hotel is very new, and the rooms are a decent size (by Japanese hotel standards).

The location is perfect, with a walkable distance to the JR station and shopping street. There are plenty of restaurants and cafe nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. We could see the Himeji castle from our room. We really enjoyed the stay. Highly recommended!
