JR East Hotel Mets Kamakura Ofuna in Kamakura

Convenient to reach via Jr, comfortable bed, easy to go nearby sightseeing places with an economic price compared with hotels in Tokyo.

The location was fantastic, and convenient. The room had good space. The amenities were well provided. All in all, great place to stay.

The location is super convenient, with restaurants within walking distance. It's also just a minute's walk from the subway station. Breakfast was decent, and the room size was typical for Japan.

This hotel is very close to Ofuna Station, and getting around by bus is also super convenient. You can take the N3 bus to Enoshima; it's really easy. Just take the N3 from the first stop to the last, and you don't have to worry about missing your stop. Board from the back door, tap your IC card once, and then tap it again when you exit from the front door. For Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, take the N2 bus. You board from the front door, tell the driver your destination, and tap your card once. You don't need to tap when exiting from the back door.

The room, although small, has enough space for two large suitcases. You absolutely must try the tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet) at 'Hanamura' nearby; it's incredibly delicious! There was also a peony flower exhibition at the entrance of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. While not huge, it added a lot of charm to our winter visit to Kamakura. The flowers were in full bloom when we went in late January.

Kamakura is perfect for a leisurely, unhurried exploration. I hope I get the chance to visit again.

The hotel is close to the railway line, with the Shonan Monorail directly opposite the window. You can hear and watch it running. The soundproofing is okay, not too noisy, which is also a feature of the hotel. The location is excellent, highly recommended.

Our two-night stay was fantastic! The service was incredibly friendly and warm, and the facilities were complete. Although the room wasn't huge, it was spotless and very tidy. Every detail was well thought out. I would definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Kamakura ( ´▽` )ﾉ

Next time, I hope to stay in a room with a "Bodhisattva" view, overlooking the magnificent Great Ship Kannon. It's truly spectacular!

My husband and I had a great mini 4 days /3 nights vacation. Nice professional staff, very helpful and courteous. Housekeeping staff is commendable , so polite, quiet and always busy. Very hardworking !!
Loved the location and all the markets nearby. Great restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Within an hour to Kamakura, Fujisawa and Enoshima.
We will definitely to stay there on our next trip.

The hotel is conveniently located right next to the subway station, making getting around super easy. There are also plenty of food options in the vicinity. However, I personally felt the price was a bit steep, and the room was quite small. On the plus side, self-check-in at the front desk was very convenient.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the suspended monorail, and it was also very convenient for visiting Enoshima. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They offer complimentary coffee, laundry facilities, and some toiletries on the first floor. While the breakfast might not compare to a luxury hotel, it was still very tasty.
