Excellent hotel with a big public ‘onsen’ bath. Route-Inn is a national chain but this location was exceptionally good

This is a Japanese hotel chain, mostly located in rural areas or small towns. I've stayed at this branch in Kumamoto before. The location is excellent, in the center of Kesennuma, next to a BRT bus stop. However, the area is sparsely populated, being one of the areas most severely affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.

Love this place, perfect for one or two people. It is a business hotel. Breakfast is delicious. Onsen is fantastic

I stayed at some Route Inn hotels on my MCT hike and this one was the best. The location is convenient next to the trail, there are many good restaurants nearby and BRT is just a few minutes away. I used this hotel for the KESEN ROCK FESTIVAL. It was new and very clean, and there was a shopping facility opposite, so it was very convenient. There was a welcome drink server in the lobby, and they even provided sports drinks and chilled jelly to prevent heat stroke. Small room difficult to manoeuver around, but very acceptable for 1 or 2 nights. Located oitside of the tiwn, just a 7/11 convi opposite. Breakfast was ok...nothing special. Avoid the madd rush when they open at 6.30am

The hotel staff are very kind and the hotel is beautiful. There is a convenience store right in front of the hotel, so you can have dinner at the hotel.

The hotel has good food, is clean, and is a good deal. However, when I booked through trip.com, they added an extra fee because it was booked with a student discount. You need to be careful when booking through trip.com.

Wonderful hotel. Single room was really big for japanese standard and had everything you need to spend the evening after dinner (TV, wifi, kettle with tea bags, fridge). We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. It would be wonderful if the hotel had a public bath or hot spring. The property is close to a number of dining options, all within walking distance.

This hotel has a sense of prestige and is representative of the area. There are many places to eat and drink in the surrounding area, so it's convenient to walk around town and enjoy some food after checking in, and the BRT station is right next door. The facility is very clean.

The hotel has an excellent location, surrounded by restaurants and large supermarkets, and provides free parking. The double room is large enough and has an oversized balcony for guests to use. The breakfast was also very good, I really couldn't find anything to fault.

Very clean! ! And although the sparrow is small, it has all the internal organs! recommend! If I have to talk about shortcomings, it may be that the parking lot is a bit small and there are no normal parking spaces when you arrive@@

Bed was not great, but the staff were very helpful and polite. The food was good enough for the price. It is located near the expressway and a few big stores.

The customer service is a good impression. I used it once last summer, and after using it for the first time in a year and five months, there was a record, there was no troublesome address entry, and I just checked in with a signature. Standard single with breakfast buffet 6,600 yen. However, I regret that I checked out without being able to eat.

The foods in the kitchen is yummy! The room is not sound proof since I can hear the next room slightly, but so far the one night stay is not bad, just that the food is good and also the staff service is also polite

The room assigned was quite small, and there’s no shower in the room, you got to shower down at the onsen. Overall, the location is great, the dinner was okay, but the onsen was slightly disappointing as it was quite small, although the view was quite breathtaking.

Besides the amazing view of the room, outdoor hot bath top roof is very good of star gazing too

Superb onsen hotel. We took sea view and it was superb with a small balcony. Room are very confortable and big. Onsen was excellent with an outside bath looking at the bay. We had dinner also and it was 5 star. Staff were super helpful (front desk, restaurant etc)

It is said that the inn serves delicious fisherman's meals, so I thought it was a fisherman's inn, but I was surprised to see that it was a large hotel. It seems to be a new facility. I visited here for a day trip. The bathroom has both indoor and outdoor bath. The water is heated natural hot spring with circulation and diluted. Chroline is used for disinfection. Slight smell of chloride is detectable. No other smell. The water is extremely salty. The facility is clean and well maintained.

This is a majestic place to stay. Fantastic room, onsen and staff hospitality. It is also walkable but includes an incline that is a bit perilous. The breakfast buffet was infinite but somehow looked better than it tasted. There are numerous transportation options that I didn’t know about before arrival so be sure to inquire.

The onsen is a salt water onsen, which was my first time. The indoor bath is nice with nice views over the harbour. The outdoor bath was not that hot and there is no view. The entrance to the onsen is also very nice. A little expensive at 800 yen.

Japanese style rooms with tatami mats and futon beds, fairly modest lodgings but a nice onsen with indoor and outdoor aspects - the water is salty from the water table being so close to the ocean, which makes for a novel experience. This hotel is a few minutes away from the Shark Museum. The staff are friendly. One of the things that is quite difficult in some ryoka-style hotels is getting the right yukata size. Located in a beautiful bay. The sunrise bay view worth much more than the room's price. The hotel is grand and classy.

Trip.com delivered! I booked a Japanese-style room for two nights and they assigned us a high-floor corner room with an extra Western single bed, which was perfect for those who don't like sleeping on futons. The sea view was incredible, but it's pretty out of the way with nowhere to go. Honestly, one night would have been enough! Luckily, the hotel has a free shuttle bus, but it's a 3-hour round trip...

I took my two children to Sendai during the holiday. A friend recommended this hotel. The room has a view of the sea from the window. The room we stayed in was very large. There is a Japanese bath in the hotel and you can see the Pacific Ocean. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, the ingredients were very fresh, good reviews

Everything was so great, the service, food and room. The only drawdown is the public bath, too small and not that extravaganza compare to all other aspects of the hotel.

It was a very clean and comfortable hotel. The baths and rooms were well-cleaned, so I felt safe staying there. It was within walking distance of tourist and gourmet spots such as the Shark Museum and the inner bay, and there was a convenience store next to the hotel, so it was very convenient.
