The service at this hotel was excellent. We asked them to change our reservation last minute and they were very helpful. They also arranged an airport pick up for us - because we booked through a third party, it cost 900 som but I was told if you book through the website, it's included.
The room was nice and clean. The only concern was the A/C was quite weak. It took a long time for the room to slightly cool down but it still wasn't the most comfortable temp.

Great location, room looks good, bed is nice, cosy place for November trip, staffs are helpful but breakfast was not that good, it was like it's leftover from yesterday which was frustration to me. Coffee was good thou. In conclusion, it was a good stay.

rooms are clean, car park available, nice breakfast, but the area around the hotel is not 100% secure and safe if you walk around by yourself

Such a shame! We have been traveling throughout Kyrgyzstan for over 3 weeks and the Rayan is definitely not the hotel to choose -- it is much more expensive than most hotels that have similar accommodations and breakfasts.
The hotel could be lovely -- the breakfast selection was decent (not as good as other hotels in the area) and the rooms quite comfortable except for the A/C. The first night our A/C didn't work, so they moved us to another room. The A/C didn't work in that room either!
We had an issue upon arrival when we wanted to cancel one night and only stay 2 nights. First the hotel said they can't cancel and must charge us because we booked through an online company. Then the company said that it was the hotel that only could cancel. When we told the front desk what the online people said, the reply was "OK, we will cancel that night and not charge you." Thanks but huh???
The other issue was when my daughter accidentally broke a dish during breakfast and they charged us 500 soms ($6.00 approx). I complained at the front desk. The guy kept saying that the dishes were "specially" made for the hotel, so he must charge -- they were the same dishes we have seen throughout the country at hotels. I asked him to give me cash back and he said the front desk doesn't have cash -- most people pay with cash.
I simply think it's a pity that this hotel has such poor customer service.

The atmosphere was great.. calm. It felt like home. And the service is excellent. The design of the hotel is modern and nice. Breakfast was quite good and the salads were delicious.
I paid attention to small shop with national handmade souvenirs, this definitely helps local craftsmen.
The other thing is that this hotel is trying to be eco-friendly. I appreciate it.
