Coral Bay Resort in Pangkor

Very disappointing experience at Coral Bay Resort, Pangkor.

The design of the hotel, especially on the first floor, is extremely unsafe and can easily cause accidents. The layout is confusing, with uneven surfaces and areas that are not clearly visible, making it risky for guests. It feels poorly planned and not user-friendly at all. I am especially concerned for elderly guests and children, as a small misstep could easily lead to an accident.

Another major letdown was the breakfast. Despite paying a relatively high breakfast fee, the hotel changed the breakfast from buffet style to à la carte without proper justification. This is a serious downgrade in value. The à la carte sets offered very limited choices, basically only fried rice or fried mee hoon, with very little vegetables or meat. The portions were small, the variety was almost non-existent, and the quality did not reflect the price paid at all. It felt more like a basic budget meal rather than a hotel breakfast that guests are paying a premium for.

Overall, it was a very bad experience. Poor and unsafe design combined with a significant drop in breakfast quality and value made our stay disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel unless they seriously improve both safety aspects and their service standards.
