Mixed Honeymoon Experience at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, Casino & Spa My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a very mixed experience overall. First, the rooms were pretty mediocre, and unfortunately the views were not great. We had a view of what looked like a sewage plant, we asked to move rooms which was an ordeal. The most basic and important thing at the hotel is the ability to rest and sleep. You cannot sleep here. On Friday and Saturday the music is so loud at the outdoor club across the street, it's impossible to sleep. We are here with a small child, and he can't sleep either. If you decide to come here, pay for the pool view. Otherwise, it's impossible to sleep till 3 am. In addition, beds and pillows...

It was pretty good. Not overly friendly service. Great with kids and teens. lots of activities and fun. decent food options, location is epic. Not super clean and maintained, but not gross either

We booked a 5 day vacation at this resort in July 2025. We were looking forward to a quiet all inclusive, adult only experience. The resort was very nice. The staff was exceptional. The food was very good. However, when we made our reservation, we reserved, and confirmed, an upper level floor suite with a great ocean view. We had recently stayed here and we had a great stay. From the minute we walked in the door everyone was beyond friendly and helpful to anything we need. Another amazing stay at Sonesta and it seems each time I visit, it gets better. Good food, good facilities and friendly staff. Only downside is the longer waiting lines for reception and restaurants.

Cool relax place everyone was kind and servicial

We never did the breakfast, but we did order a room service pizza couple times which was more affordable than eating at the restaurants nearby. It would be nice if there was music around the pool room service was great. Our rooms were clean zero complaints on that. The roads around the property definitely need work, but overall, we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Nice location however with there being no side walks it’s a bit rough when having to make your way up the hill to the resort to the B section of the resort. Possibly extend the shuttle hours.

Great staff, easy check in, clean room with daily cleaning, full kitchen. Amenities at resort were great including several restaurants, grocery, several pools, beach area, pool towels provided. Easy walk or short drive to additional variety of other off-site restaurants and shopping. .

We had a wonderful time at Simpson Bay resort. Everything was very convenient. Grocery shop, great restaurants and amazing Red Piano Bar.

Staff were very attentive and responsive to our needs. The room was outdated, though and the power blew a circuit daily when trying to use various sockets.

We had a lovely stay at this resort. Extremely clean and super friendly staff. Maelyn, who was the server at the beach, was exceptional. She had the most incredible demeanor. She took such great care of us and made our stay that much better! Only recommendation would be to have towels available at the pool (there often weren’t any) and also at the beach entrance.

The staff at the resort were exceptional. Especially on the beach, our server Maelyn was so amazing and helpful. Every time we came she greeted us with such lovely warmth and attention. She always made sure we were happy and well served so we had all the foods and drinks we could have with a warm smile. She really made our experience the best it could be. Thank you Mae! Villa very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Great views over the bay. Convenience stores in walking distance, together with bars and restaurants.

We had a weird experience in that the room flooded and we had to be moved to another room, and there were additional surprise charges not included in the the travelocity price that were added (not due to messiness or misuse of the room or amenities)

This was our first time to St Martin and it was spectacular. Everyone was friendly and the staff was very accommodating with our requests. We are looking forward to going back already!

My stay was short due to a flight layover. Liked the he properties closeness to outside restaurants and grocery market. It was quiet allowing for a restful sleep. The rooms are dated and could use a renovation but that's also reflected by the price point. I recommend The Atrium If you need a cost effective stay and don't mind a non-modern design.

The highlight of this hotel is the location. Simpson bay is one of the nicest and most beautiful beaches in the island. Other than that the hotel needs love and care. Maintenance is poor and cleanliness is below mediocre.

Have stayed here a couple times - once we stayed a week in the rooms out by the beach with their own patio, and this time just a quick night in the basement room. Both times were clean and enjoyable. Having the beach and restaurant make it easy to enjoy!

this was a fun little local hotel and restaurant it was nice cause it wasn’t a big corporate, but it was quirky and fun right on the beach. we just needed a place to sleep before flying out so we didn’t have an ocean view, if you want ocean view request one of the bungalows on the beach. fun bar with a DJ great drinks restaurant was good!

Breakfast was overdone. Shades in east facing windows allowed too much light!
