Good location, near the sea. But if you compare amenities inside of the room the price-quality ratio is negative.
Had a pleasant stay in a room with a beautiful harbor view. The beds and bathroom were excellent. The breakfast was delicious, the service was good, and the restaurant was also excellent. I enjoyed using the sauna for a bit. A minor drawback was that the sauna door couldn't be opened with the key card, so I had to take a detour via the balcony. The thresholds were a bit of a tripping hazard...
The breakfast offered everything you'd expect from a good spread. However, the layout of the breakfast buffet, with a direct view into the kitchen, was unfortunately not very appealing. The staff in the restaurant and at breakfast were very friendly. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the front desk. It sometimes felt as if, as a guest, you were an inconvenience, interrupting the front desk...
Parking was available right in front of the hotel, almost directly on the beach. We stayed in a renovated deluxe double room. The room was well-appointed with all amenities, and though not large, the space was optimally designed. We enjoyed the sunset from our balcony.
Extremely friendly staff. The hotel is a bit dated and was being renovated during our stay. Unfortunately, this wasn't mentioned when booking. Therefore, much of the hotel's amenities were a bit old-school. But not everything.
Breakfast was great, the location right on the beach, walking opportunities, a nice sustainable campsite, and a small supermarket are nearby. The chef's restaurant in the hotel...

We loved this gem, a beautiful and well mainteined 1907 hotel. We had the top 2 rooms in the attic with really cool antique furniture, beautiful bathrooms and cute balcony overlooking the city. Very friendly staff, gave us great reccomendations for the area we were visiting (old Velsen) and we were able to rent bikes directly from hotel. We also enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and admired the setting...
They said that would be the best room: under the roof, spacious, with a wonderful balcony. Only problem: on the day we arrived, the elevator was ready but not yet inspected, and we were not allowed to use it. They would have a room on a lower floor, but they told us it would be much nicer to put in the effort to climb one more stair.

Great hospitality, good location, nice ancient building. Well maintained, friendly staff
Nice Hotel, wonderful staff, clean rooms, easy to park in the area. Right around the corner is a wonderful coffee roastery and a great bakery.
This hotel in IJmuiden has a long history and yet is still very well maintained, feeling like new inside ancient walls ! It was built one century ago and kept its style and decoration from that time. The room I got was very spacious, with very high ceiling, big bed, living-room area with massive couch and large TV screen. The bathroom wasn't small either. Also, the receptionist was very helpful, even...
I recently stayed here with a delightful 1930s design that blends vintage aesthetics with modern functionality. The hotel exudes a cosy and warm atmosphere, with stylish décor and an inviting entourage. The room was impressively spacious, clean, and equipped with both a bathtub and a heater, offering a comfortable and relaxing experience after a long day.
What stands out the most is the antique furniture...

It’s a great hotel if you’re waiting for the boat to Newcastle the next day and you aren’t expecting the Ritz.
The rooms are adequate and at a fair price. I didn’t try the breakfast and there’s no bar/restaurant.
I stay in 200+ hotels a year and I can tell by the price what I’m getting. I was very happy with it, I’ve stayed in far worse for triple the price.
The lady running reception is excellent...
Room was lovely, the manager very helpful, unfortunately not very good WiFi in the room which I needed because I was on business & needed it
Lovely, spacious and clean room. Very nice breakfast in the restaurant in the morning
Fish an chips long beach
It's close to at least 3 excellent fish and chips restaurants and a short bus to a very very long beach.
Nice and clean hotel. Friendly and helpful people. For me the best place in IJmuiden. Very good price/quality ratio. Easy check in and out.
After two weeks of camping, we really appreciated the lovely bed and fantastic shower at this place. Not a lot of things were open when we got there later in the evening; if you are on foot, getting there from the Ijmuiden rail station is tricky. Not a lot of cabs want to come and get you. But the staff was truly kind and indulgent, and there's a bar and wonderful restaurant right on site. It's 70...

These nice beach houses enjoy a magnificent location in the dunes, directly on the beautiful North... Sea beach of Julianadorp. Here, you can enjoy all the benefits that the beach has to offer. A very popular area with a wide and diverse range of (water sports) activities.
The beach house is furnished in a complete and careful way. There is a bright living room with a sofa. The sofa can also be used as a double sofa bed. In the open-plan kitchen, you will find, among other things, a microwave. There is one bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom has a shower and a toilet.
Outdoors, you have access to a covered terrace with garden furniture. This type of beach house is located on the side of the dunes. Due to its location at an altitude of 2 meters, you still have a view of the sea from the terrace. You can reach the entrance of the beach house via a staircase; there is no stair gate. From your holiday home, You can step straight onto the beach. You park your car in the public parking lot. The nearest car park is Parking Noorderbad in Dorpsduinen street. From there, you can reach your beach house on foot via a paved path over the beach.

Hostel is quite a way out of Haarlem and next to a busy road but on arrival we discovered we had been given a room at the back facing the park - much appreciated as 4 cyclists on a cycle/touring holiday.
Lovely friendly staff . Had some snacks from the bar and there was a lovely brazier to sit around in the garden .
Met some friendly Dutch and Americans.
Breakfast adequate...
Everything was clean and right for our stay! Family of 5
Bed was fine. Sanitary excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner mediocre, little choice and because it is now autumn, no vegetables or salads. Location easy to reach by public transport. About 15 minutes walk to station Santvoort Zuid.
Nice for a 2 night stay, it had everything we needed and the included breakfast was nice. Our room had a broken window and the toilet room smelled odd. Other than that it was a great price for the property.
Breakfast good. Room was okay. Staff was amazing. Not much parking and had to pay for towels, strip our own beds
We love the shower. It is convenient place for we only stay overnight.

good and clean place but air condition is too cold maybe IBIS is trying to save money.
Cons: The bathroom light is on a motion sensor. Which means in the middle of the night if you want to use bathroom you get full light. It stays on for 15mins. No cooling -room stuffy and if you open window cigarette smoke wafts in.
Pros: good condition. Solid breakfast.
This was very clean, with friendly staff. Not terribly close to restaurants or night life but walkable in 20-25 mins.
Great level of cleanliness in the room and the staff were very helpful. The communal areas were also very clean and pleasant to sit in. Good free coffee and hot chocolate for the kids. Our stay exceeded expectations. A short 10 minute bike ride into the centre of Haarlem.
It's not bad. Many Chinese people live here for business trips. It's close to nearby companies and you can walk to the company. Overall, I'm very satisfied. It would be better if the room could be a little bigger.
Not bad, very clean, the only drawback is that the bed is a bit small, it is close to the road and it will be noisy if you are jet-lagged in the morning. It is close to the park and is good for running in the morning...

My sister and her partner stayed at the hotel on December 13th and 14th as a gift. The hotel is in a fantastic location, and it's great that they have parking where you can reserve a spot, even though I find the price for it quite expensive for a hotel guest. Absolutely loved this boutique Hotel Love the atmosphere, the decor, friendly staff, amazing interior designs. Breakfast was excellent Love the tea cappuccino maker that was available 24/7 for free. Dinner was fantastic: wonderful food with great presentation and amazing taste. This is a great property, one of a kind with a colourful and unique style. Lighting is soft and cozy. We love the bathtub...
Unique boutique hotel. Staff was really nice and helpful.
Have a coffee machine in the lobby that’s 24/7. That was nice.
Hotel was very comfortable, bed was great, fab sheets and pillows and towels. They gave you robes.
One complaint - the entire hotel could have been cleaner. The stairs had a stepped on cracker with lots of crumbs, it sat there for our 3 day stay. The corners of the hotel are dusty...
Good hotel. The reason for the lower score was the bathroom arrangement. The sink is retrofitted into some old furniture and it sprays water everywhere when it’s used. There isn’t a suitable mirror for shaving. The shower leaks water right across the room to the toilet. The whole room gets wet and dirty.
Breakfast was by far the best part of the stay. Excellent chef cooked items to order and...

Location was good, the club next door was a bit noisy at night.
Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Night manager was great.
Rooms were clean and well equipped
Lovely to get free coffee and tea in a morning at the restaurant
Great hotel, close to the city center! Nice and quiet in the room, comfortable beds, pillows, and blankets. Free Wi-Fi. Very good and extensive breakfast. Two days of parking at Interparking Station for 25 euros (reservation required). You can drop off your luggage at the reception if you arrive early. I would definitely book it again.
The location is perfect. It was a shame, though, that they didn't have a room with a bath. Even though they advertise it, I wasn't entirely sure if they even had rooms with baths.
There was a sticker next to the mirror saying that if you forgot toiletries, you could get them for free at the front desk. But that wasn't the case; there were no toiletries.
There was also a puddle of water under the desk...
Front manager was nice but that was it. I would give 2 stars. Holiday Inn was a standard business hotel for me until now. This is more like a motel or youth hostel, just private room
We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is modern and well located, only a short walk from Grote Markt. Would happily stay here again.
Hotel is great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is 15mins walk from the station or 1 stop on the bus. Location is great for exploring Haarlem. Room was spacious and very clean. You don’t get any amenities provided but that is standard for European hotels at this price range. Would be happy to return.

We could not fault this place, the room was lovely (top floor, stairs only) with a decent bathroom, big comfy bed, good storage and lighting. Even BBC on TV! The room was overlooking the rear of the building and very quiet. Great location near the centre of Haarlem. Close to buses, the train station, lovely shopping and restaurants. Hosts were very information and helpful with tips of what to see and do, and eat. We highly recommend and we would stay again.
We enjoyed our stay and could have stayed longer. This bed and breakfast is just what you need. Clean, comfortable and great service. This is our first time staying in Haarlem and will come back again!! Henk and Annmarie are great hosts and very helpful. Henk made many recommendations and both were so knowledgeable about the area and could answer any questions.
Such a great b & b. The location couldn't be better. Very easy access to all the interesting sites. Henk and Annmarie are so friendly and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. The rooms are great and equipped with everything you need. The breakfasts are delicious. All in all, if you're going to Haarlem (and you should), just book with the Malts. You won't be disappointed.
We had the best time! Jenn and Annmarie are so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel at home and gave us wonderful ideas to really explore Haarlem. The BnB is in the middle of town and easy to get to shops but somehow it’s still so quiet and cozy!

The location in the center of Haarlem is perfect; everything is within walking distance.
The room on the second floor at the front of the hotel was very dated!! Old furniture, poorly maintained, small bathroom; the shower door couldn't open completely because the sink was in the way.
There were two single beds, but the floor was sloped. I was with my girlfriend, and when we pushed the beds together...
The area was gorgeous with huge old church across from it. Right on the main plaza with old architecture buildings. Lots of nearby restaurants and short train ride to Amsterdam central.
I liked it a little! It could be better
Room 16: The bathroom door wouldn't close, the door alarm kept going off, and the bathroom had a strong urine smell... unfortunately, we won't be staying here again.
Good basic accommodations for the price. Close to everything.

Location is great (cannot be better), but hotel is tired (dirty carpet etc). Up to EUR 100 per night it makes sense, but we paid EUR 179, which is too much for what they offer.
The hotel is in a great location, but it was a bit noisy at times (due to the nightclub). The staff were generally friendly, except for the man who checked us in.
Not recommended
Great location which has a premium but for the price we found it quite disappointing, more cleaning and repairs required.
I must admit, The Ambassador hotel surprised me. The restaurant and bar are top class! The barman can mix any cocktail you want as he is very experienced and well focused on the customers.
The bedrooms are reasonable and comfortable.
I would highly recommend this hotel as it’s close to town and all the shops and restaurants.
Love staying here for the location. Great access to everything in Haarlem city center. Bathrooms could use some updating to help make them feel cleaner.
The location is perfect. Right next to the church. Lots of shopping and dining options. The room has signs of wear but is clean and roomy.

There is a cute little black and white kitty that was a big hit with some people in our group.
Pedestrian 4-star hotel!
The hotel is ideally situated near the Grote Markt and near all the attractions. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. We were aware that there wasn’t a refrigerator in the room, but a 4-star hotel should have one!
The breakfast was rather disappointing - no fruit salad, but a few grapes and a few slices of melon. There were no saucers at breakfast and no big spoons.
But...
Prima locatie in het hart van de stad. Streetside rooms have some noise from the busy nightlife, despite excellent triple (?) glazing.
Interieur is ouderwets op het oubollige af. Men zei te gaan renoveren.
Property was under renovation and was not told or offered a room on a higher floor. Workers started working before we woke up. Also no signs for doors so staff entered while we slept (jet lag) without waiting for a response after knocking.
The hotel was in a great location being next to Dam Square in the centre of Haarlem.
It was expensive and the room was disappointing as it was tatty and in need of refurbishment. The curtains were marked and the toilet seat was loose so it slipped to the side. One of the bedside lamps also didn’t work. It was generally noisy with people walking along the corridors and doors banging in the hotel.

I am very glad that I found this place through Booking. This was my first experience of living on a boat, and it was wonderful!
The first thing that impressed me – this boat is very cozy (just like the Netherlands in general). 🙂

I found it a charming experience. The location is conveniently near the center (of Haarlem). But I have warn tall people. Cabins, doors, shower, all is small. And yes there is a smell not attractive for all. Also I was alone in my room, two in that room would have been a hassle. The price I paid (€25), breakfast included, makes it I have no right to complain 😊

Slippery bathroom floor. Stairwell smells a bit but it's perfectly clean, may have been strange industrial chemicals.
Very nice location, people are friendly at the front desk. The rooms are nicely clean, and they have laundry machines in the hotel. Beachhouse hotel is right on the beach and convenient for the cycling trip that we were on. The reception people were very helpful and checkin was easy and quick. I really do love this hotel and have stayed on several occasions, I will continue to do so if I am in the area as the beds are so comfy, views are great and rooms are spacious. I just wish they would change the 4pm check in as when we arrived we where advised we can get in early. Nice hotel. Lovely sea view. Rooms are clean and large. Has a large car park with electric charging.
The suite room is a bit of a mixed bag. It had a great interior, but some flaws. We had a leaking shower, some smell in the bathroom and doors that hardly closed. The view is breathtaking, especially at sunset. Breakfast is good.

The rooms are a bit dated and not very spacious, but overall pretty decent for a short stay.
Unfortunately the TV offers no streaming apps or cast functionality.
I definitely recommend booking...
Lovely hotel with a sea view. The car park has ev chargers, so we could charge the car overnight. Daily cleaning service. The swimming pool was great fun. Staff were friendly.

My wife and I had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Faber. They have an amazing breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, and are located minutes away from the train station. I would recommend to anyone considering this hotel.
I loved my stay here. I stayed a week and it was very comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect. I loved the balcony, the breakfasts, the breakfast room, the shower water pressure, the paintings and everyone who works at hotel Faber. I would absolutely come back. Everyone is so kind and the paintings are really special.
nice rooms, good breakfast, parking in the back of hotel
Everything was super, the breakfast tasty, the hotel near the beach, clean, love the architecture and tradition..
We will come again.. 👌🤗

Great room, close to the beach and to the train station, restaurants within a 10 seconds walk - excellent staff.
The location is very nice close to the train station and to the center.
Everything was perfect, beautiful place near the train station and the sea, the owner helped us with some useful advice.
Location was perfect. Close to train station, but also close to the beach and city center. Hotel was very clean and welcoming!!
Very comfortable bed 🛌 big room close to the train station and beach. Coffee and kitchen were great 👍.
This is a truly wonderful, cosy and homely place to stay in Zandvoort - a place I hadn't visited before, though this hotel definitely makes me want to return. The owner was incredibly helpful and couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome. The room was spacious and comfy, plus the kitchen area was fantastic for making my own meals - along with a lovely lounge area and garden in which to eat them...
