My choice hotel in the area. A quirky place with great comfort in the rooms and decent restaurant downstairs. Support from reception is sometimes a bit of a challenge, but doesn’t create too much drama. Really convenient if sailing from the port of IJmuiden and some nice little coffee places etc. around the corner.

I got the Bellhuis. It wasnt clear when I booked it that it was a seperate house. The direction to the house wasnt clear so I had to ask others. The room was freezing cold, and no instructions on how to adjust the heat. The toilet was separated from the shower. It was noisy and a draft in the room. The food was “ok” at its best. I will not come back to this hotel if. i can avoid it.

I think it's well known that the hotel is in an industrial area. There's a nice restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast is served in the right-hand part. The reception is on the 2nd floor. I had a single room with a wide and very good mattress. The room was spotlessly clean and stylishly furnished. The air conditioning is quiet and effective. The breakfast was good and the best thing of all is the boss, who drove me to the dock for my cruise ship in his private car. Thanks boss.

A hotel with real character. The building was very unassuming from the outside, but delivered some impressive interior décor, comfy beds and spacious shower room etc. The entry into the rooms was by QR code. Made things really easy and didn’t have to continually remember keys or keycards. The breakfast offerings were decent too.TV was good with a decent selection of channels plus smart tv function for Netflix etc. Also a great bonus to have a fridge in the room to keep cold drinks etc. Pretty certain I’ll stay again at some point.

Very good small-scale hotel. Very comfortable room. Cozy and practically furnished. Very nice staff. Breakfast was good, not very extensive. But what we liked was there. We will definitely come back in the summer....

It was a really nice and clean room, but it smelled of rotten fish. I pointed this out to the front desk staff, but without further understanding.

We had a nice 3 person room with a smart TV which we found very handy.
Beds are fine. The bathroom looks really nice and neat. The staff are very friendly. The beach is nearby and you are also in Haarlem in no time, if you want to. For us there was only 1 very big disadvantage: we had a room at the back, so our window was right above a fish processing plant. It smelled awful of rotten fish. We have indicated this to the staff, this does not always seem to be the case, they try to keep an eye on the company to keep the site clean. Very annoying for these employees that they can't control this, but also for us as guests.
If you are looking forward to breakfast, this is definitely not the place to be. That is not offered.

My husband and I slept here for 3 nights. We are very satisfied: neatly clean rooms, sweet and very attentive staff! We will come again soon! Great location! 👍👍👍 Thank you Hotel Harbor IJmuiden!!
