Hotel Roermond Next Door in Roermond

Nice Hotel and location but staff is incredibly rude and condescending, even for Dutch people. They are not flexible or accommodating to their client's needs at all, and they dismiss you the second you have any other needs. Every single exchange I had with their staff was incredibly unpleasant and, honestly, it completely ruined my stay, to the point where I actually had trouble attending my obligations because of them. Would avoid because of staff!!

Also, to check in at Hotel Roermond next, you have to go to Hotel Roermond reception, which is not explained anywhere.

Bad Management with rude attitude from Manager, very unprofessional. Both Roermond and Roermond next door have the same management and reception. Arrived at 5pm with reservation and given a room which was not cleaned at all from previous stay. When we called, was asked to walk across the street to reception for “resolution”. Was questioned many times on how unclean (used towels on floor, untidy beds and rubbish not cleared). Manager then offered a free drink but we have to wait 2hrs before we can get our room cleaned. We have young kids and had long drive so we asked if another room can be provided. Was told hotel is completely full. After checking we told the manager we could find rooms on Booking.com and is ok to be split to 2 rooms and it’s unacceptable that we had to wait so long when check in is 2pm. Manager then blame us for not checking in earlier! She told us that she has rooms available but she would not change the rooms (lied about availability) Hotel room not cleaned till 7pm is now the guest’s fault for not checking in earlier to discover the mistake. The attitude is arrogant and unapologetic, blaming guests.

If we check out 5hours beyond check out time, I am sure charges will be applied but when the hotel short change our stay for 5 hours, it’s our fault.

The housekeeping lady is very apologetic and looked overworked. We can understand mistakes can happen but the manager’s handling of the situation is rude and unprofessional and felt like dealing with a budget hotel then 3-4 stars hotel. Wifi is bad as well.

Will not be staying in this hotel again from this service, it’s a pity that the location is nice but ruined by poor manager attitude. I don think she understand the seriousness of Covid situation and sending guests to unclean room and not willing to change rooms even when it’s available. I have serious doubts on management attitude towards Covid.

Convenient location, decent sized rooms. The breakfast was included in the price which was a nice thing. However, the walls are thin and you can hear people in the hallway talking a few metres away. The room wasn't that clean either. The chair still had strands of hair and things they didn't vaccum. The bedsheets had brown stains, like old blood. Wasn't really hygienic in my opinion. The breakfast was simple, and decent for being included in the price. Staff was friendly.
