We had a wonderful weekend. The hotel is close to the city center, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. The amenities, such as the swimming pool, sauna, and fitness center, are all there. A jacuzzi in the room is what my 6-year-old daughter calls it. The next time we're in Roermond, we'll definitely book here again.

It is a large hotel in Roermond, with a small balcony for smoking. The surrounding area is very quiet, the parking lot is opposite, and it is very convenient to get in and out. It is not far from the shopping village.

Well-maintained hotel with excellent service It's been a long time since we last visited Grand Hotel Valies. The property is in perfect condition and is centrally located in Roermond, with everything within walking distance. We enjoyed the excellent service. Guo Min was a star and made our breakfast a special event. We will be back!

Great hotel , but gym is very small and no sauna

Excellent location. Beautiful hotel and nice big rooms. Good service and friendly staff. Rooms have spacious bathrooms. We enjoyed it very much. Really recommended. We will definitely come back in the future. Ideal for a few days in Roermond. Everything is within walking distance, bars, restaurants and shops. Outlet is also within walking distance.

We traveled by train, and the hotel is conveniently located right next to the station. It was great that we could store our luggage in a locker upon arrival. Then we could explore the city and check in later. We ate twice in the restaurant; it was delicious! The breakfast was also excellent; a bit of everything. In the evening, we enjoyed a coffee at the bar and brought a book with us—just like at...

Great hotel, good distance to Designer outlet. Our staff had to provide coffee service in front of the Tommy Outlet Store. We stayed for 7 nights. Recommended.

Overall it was a good stay, right next to the station, you have to walk about 15-20 minutes to get to the outlet, city tax is 5 euros per person

Great location, just 1 minute from Roermond station, with clean rooms. Breakfast is good, but noise from upstairs footsteps or the station can be heard.

It is next to the train station, with convenient transportation, quiet environment, easy parking, and just across the road is the commercial street and the ancient town. It is very convenient for food and accommodation, and it is also close to the outlet. I will choose this hotel next time.

It's a very good experience. It's very comfortable to travel in this season. The environment is clean and beautiful, and the attitude is very good. It's a home away from home experience. Mom and Dad had a great time.

Very expensive breakfast, not worth the money. On Sunday evening resto is closed? Cold room. Heating was Insufficient

A truly beautiful hotel with an exclusive setting. Spacious rooms, and it's very peaceful in the heart of the city. There was no room in the restaurant, but next time we'll make a reservation for the restaurant. The breakfast was delicious. Excellent!

I have stayed here before and if you ignore the fact is is a converted prison it’s a very average hotel that thinks it much more. Need sound proofing between rooms.

Note, there are 2 hotels under same management. Roermond Brasserie and Next Door. Parking is at Brasserie. Check-in also here. Roermond Next Door is across the road. Weird, right? 😁. Guess, it's how much you are willing to pay. I always believed first impressions is given during check-in. An area to improve perhaps? Friendly front desk staff is always appreciated. Google Maps isn't very accurate...

Clean, quiet and comfortably, would be very happy to stay there again, the breakfasts were more than enough and beautifully orange juice I've never tasted anything like it before staff were pleasant and obliging. Thank you Hotel Roermond Linda McKay East Riding of Yorkshire

The hotel location is good, if you're coming to Roermond by train it's just opposite to the station, if by car, the hotel is actually in the pedestrian area and the parking is behind the rail station (sounds complicated) but the staff will explain it (free parking). The room had no view so it wasn't nice sitting in the room but it's clean, and no fridge.. the staff were nice and breakfast was average...

Very friendly staff. Good food and drinks. Not too far from the city center. But the room we got was not ok. Just next to the ventilation system from the kitchen they forgot to turn off making a huge noise during the night. Dead crushed mosquitoes on the wall. Shower not working well. 😕

Today morning I had a meeting with a client, at this very nice place at the border to Germany. Excellent Breakfast, and a medium size buffet. The service was very quick and attentive! Only point to mention is the fact that there is no service on the beautiful garden terrace in the morning.

Elegant and cosy at the same time

We loved staying here, very accommodating for our 2 dogs with a garden for them. Clean, spacious, much more than what unexpected. Only shame is to walk a little down the road for the restaurant but apart from that, its perfect! Would highly recommend 😊

If one wants to get out of the fast city life, this castle and its owners make you gearing down and enjoy. All is right, the hospitality, food, wines, surrounding, rooms, all the little details. So happy we booked two nights!

Set in a former monastery, this hotel is full of character and is beautifully decorated. Our room was gorgeous with a lovely view over the forecourt. As it's an old building there can be some noise issues if you have noisy or inconsiderate neighbours as we did, but once they quieten down it is very serene and peaceful at night. The lady on Reception that evening was incredibly helpful and friendly...

Nice and quiet ambience in an early 20th century abbey. We had dinner here and were served excellent. Surprising mid-range priced menu. If available, try the Limburgs 'Zuurvlees', a beef stew with authentic local ingredients. Very nice taste! Good choice of (not too many, but good) beers. Cocktails (not too many too) available. Very quiet surrounding, very good for bicycle trips.

The price/performance ratio is very high. The hotel has the characteristics of a typical European town. There are not many rooms, but the rooms are large, the bathroom is very comfortable, and the bathrooms are designed as separate rooms. The scenery of the town is particularly beautiful.

Lovely little hotel, right on the river and walking distance to the outlet shops. Free parking was included as well. Breakfast was amazing, good choice of cold meats and cheeses, plus the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. Would definitely recommend, and when I am next in Roermond to visit the shops then I will 100% be looking to book here again.

This hotel is run with such love. The staff takes great care of the guests. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. Fried eggs with bacon or scrambled eggs are available on request. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom was renovated. Coffee/tea kettles were available. The hotel has a quaint pub with a delicious menu. The food is great! We'll be back!
