We think the hotel was OK, needs a bit of an update, faster lift, better beds, a spare pillow should be provided, bigger TV in the room/ too small for the room size. The wifi was very slow and not really suitable to try and use for business purpose in my experience. It is nicely situated and the staff were friendly, an update of the technology would improve it a lot.

Super friendly staff and a very decent restaurant. Definitely will come back here.

Great hotel, just could be cleaner. Facilities are good, but the quality is lower than what I am used to from 4 star hotels. Too bad there is no refrigerator in the room. Bedding is also not that nice, doesn't feel completely fresh.

Very nice people, food was nice, room good, swimming pool nice. Coctails when we arrived, the kids loved it. The minor remark was that the dinner with pork was very small (and the one with beef twice as much)

The hotel structure is beautiful, the restaurant and bar are cosy.There is akso a small swummingpool and saunas. But the hotel is located outside of the city centre and the rooms have an awful view on commetcial buoldings. Terrible experiemce with one of the receptionist who showed no signs of being service minded.

Spacious rooms, but they're ok. They charge high prices just to give you the cheapest amenities. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel with cheaper one ply toilet paper. Someone must've gone out of their way to fine the roughest toilet paper that the Netherlands has to offer. Huge room, but no full body length mirror. Just one mirror in the whole room. The internet barely works, TV kept saying...

Was here for a meeting. Had a small lunch before the meeting which tasted good. Didn't make use of the rooms so can't judge that but overall the lobby and restaurant looked attractive so I assume the rooms meet the same standard.

Without slippers, I really can’t eat at the restaurant downstairs!

A Five-Star Stay in Every Way! I just returned from a fantastic stay at the Van der Valk Hotel Enschede, and I can't recommend it highly enough. Lovely Hotel. Nice concept for family getaway. Beautiful lobby to hangout. The room is very spacious and comfortable. We arrived at night and all looked beautiful. In the morning you could see that the bathroom was not thoroghly cleaned. Found hair from precious guest, dust in corners and dirty tile grout.

We have been coming to the Holterhof for years. Now for the first time for a weekend. Because of 1 particular employee, we did not really like it and we would not do this again. I believe the woman is called Xio, a somewhat smaller blond older lady. She walks around as if she is the queen and is not at all hospitable to the guests. I have heard several people about it and have had several experiences...

Long walking distance to room because I am an invalid. Food excellent. Service good. Very hard to find there directions to hotel where bad at night.

It is enjoyable, everything is good, restaurant serves huge portions but delicious dishes prepared with care. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, not very surprising, basic and that you have to indicate what time you come, there are shifts of an hour, is strange if only three tables are occupied

Everything was so great, impressive amount of sauna, bistro and food was beyond our expectation, and sites is simply beautifull.

Functional neat room, clean, warm (in the Winter) and comfortable. No frills. Good bathroom with shower only. Friendly staff.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel in the woods. My single room was better than most I've stayed in. I swam in the nice indoor swimming pool and the breakfast buffet was really good. I hired an e-bike from the hotel and visited Borculo where I enjoyed the mineral museum and the old mill wheel. Also the castles at Ruurlo and Vorden. Lochem had a nice market square too.

Great location. The hotel is sadly deteriorating in quality. An upgrade would be good.

Nice hotel with basic rooms (I like that they have a small balcony and seating area in each room). We had a room right above the swimming pool, maybe that inspired us, because we swam every morning. The hotel comes with a nice restaurant and a lovely billiard pool table.

Hotel was op zich prima, beetje gedateerd.

We slept in a bad room: small, very basic and bed was situated at window at the flat roof full of kitchen ventilators and airco’s. Had to climb in and out of bed, because lack of space. Next morning we have got a better room after complaining,

My room was fine bed very comfortable only problem was the shower room.

We booked the hotel as a base for cycling tours in the beautiful surroundings. We were very pleased with the hotel room, which had a lovely furnished balcony and a new bathroom. The breakfast was varied and good. There is also a nice indoorpool.

Great location. The environment was pleasant and welcoming. Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy. We really loved the character of the hotel. The restaurant was fantastic and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The heating in our room wasn't working properly, and the toilet seat was very loose. When we reported this, they took appropriate action. This was perfectly fine. The service was also polite and friendly. However, dinner in the restaurant was definitely not good. Basic dishes were already quite expensive, and you had to order vegetables and potatoes or fries. Great pool, spacious room. I have stayed here before and always had a great time. I had the luxury of having the indoor pool to myself - Awesome!! Good breakfast but would have liked a warm veg option such as beans or mushrooms. The room was big and spacious with a comfortable bed. The only area for improvement was the peeling paint outside on the balcony. Some TLC needed there.

I tried to alter my booking dates through Expedia's website, was informed by their Bot that it'd all been taken care of. Didn't receive the promised confirmation email so called the hotel to check and it hadn't happened at all. Thank you so much to the guy at the hotel for re-arranging everything so perfectly, otherwise we'd have turned up without a reservation. Next time we'll book with the hotel...

The outside environment is beautiful, the room is clean and tidy, the room size is not very large, but the basic equipment is complete. The hotel is located in the forest, self-driving is more convenient, and it is suitable for vacation travel.

The hotel itself is nice, the location is beautiful, the scenery is top notch. This review is focused towards the staff of this location. The front desk, the kitchen, the service staff. The hospitality I received from the staff during my stay was beyond any that I have ever received in the countless hotels that I've stayed in this world. The understanding and care speaks volumes to the Dutch people...

Good hotel if you're on a business trip to UT, right in front of bus stop. 10-15mins to city center. Can be quite noisy at night if there's a road work nearby

Appropriate location for persons visiting the Univ of Twente campus. Layout of the hotel at the entrance not well organised or indicated. Nearly missed two visitors coming to meet us.

Beautiful location and rooms were spacious

The price is not maching with this property. I was expecting much more clean and tidy. Furnitures are used alot and old.

Recently we visited this place with our Fellowship of the Ring crew – there were about 10 of us today. We came during lunch hours. I ordered the Upark burger but I have to admit I was really disappointed. The fries and salad were okay, but there's no point in commenting on them when the main dish – the burger itself – was completely messed up. What I got in the bun shouldn't even be called a burger...

Highly recommend the U Parkhotel for any visit to Twente Uni or even Enschede (an hour walk away). The staff, presumably all students were welcoming and very friendly. The room was very comfortable with modern fittings, a minimalist feel and large windows overlooking the university campus. The food at the restaurant was good, particularly the breakfast which had a lot of options to choose from although...

The only issue is rooms are chilly and don't really get warm. It did not only happen to me, all of my friends had the same issue with their rooms. I would give 2-3 stars just because of this. However, the kitchen and service staff was lovely and they helped me a lot for my allergies. I had no health problem thanks to them. Thats why I give 4 stars.

Very comfortable, modern hotel with great-looking and freshly renovated interior. Room is super comfy, very spacious, bathroom is big and equipped with all necessary amenities. Big TV screen, great view through panoramic window. There are only few rooms per floor which makes even more comfortable.
