Hotels in Winterswijk

We think the hotel was OK, needs a bit of an update, faster lift, better beds, a spare pillow should be provided, bigger TV in the room/ too small for the room size. The wifi was very slow and not really suitable to try and use for business purpose in my experience. It is nicely situated and the staff were friendly, an update of the technology would improve it a lot.

Super friendly staff and a very decent restaurant. Definitely will come back here.

Great hotel, just could be cleaner. Facilities are good, but the quality is lower than what I am used to from 4 star hotels. Too bad there is no refrigerator in the room. Bedding is also not that nice, doesn't feel completely fresh.

Very nice people, food was nice, room good, swimming pool nice. Coctails when we arrived, the kids loved it. The minor remark was that the dinner with pork was very small (and the one with beef twice as much)

Overall a really pleasant hotel. Rooms are older however they have been refurbished recently so everything looks fresh. Rooms were clean and beds are good. Unfortunately no airconditioning at the warm night we stayed there. Breakfast was as expected. Dining at the hotel was perfect! Main courses were a great value for money.

A lovely family run hotel. Recently renovated. Nice terrace to enjoy the sun during the day and a good restaurant in the evening.

I stayed here for a few nights whilst on a business trip to a nearby german town across the border. I was told to pay extra for breakfast although I have booked this stay with my company travel agent with normally would have included breakfast in the rate. Good value In general thos hotel chain is a good value. Some of them are better than others. The Enschede hotel is older and the restaurant was nearly as nice as others weve stayed in. Service was very good.

Awesome Stay From our entrance to our exit staff was kind, pleasant, very helpful in assisting with travel needs around town. Great amenities (pool, gym, restaurant, bar) for all travelers. All staff made us feel at home away from home.

We have been coming to the Holterhof for years. Now for the first time for a weekend. Because of 1 particular employee, we did not really like it and we would not do this again. It is enjoyable, everything is good, restaurant serves huge portions but delicious dishes prepared with care. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, not very surprising, basic and that you have to indicate what time you come, there are shifts of an hour, is strange if only three tables are occupied

Everything was so great, impressive amount of sauna, bistro and food was beyond our expectation, and sites is simply beautifull.

Functional neat room, clean, warm (in the Winter) and comfortable. No frills. Good bathroom with shower only. Friendly staff.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel in the woods. My single room was better than most I've stayed in. I swam in the nice indoor swimming pool and the breakfast buffet was really good. I hired an e-bike from the hotel and visited Borculo where I enjoyed the mineral museum and the old mill wheel. Also the castles at Ruurlo and Vorden. Lochem had a nice market square too.

Great location. The hotel is sadly deteriorating in quality. An upgrade would be good.

Nice hotel with basic rooms (I like that they have a small balcony and seating area in each room). We had a room right above the swimming pool, maybe that inspired us, because we swam every morning. The hotel comes with a nice restaurant and a lovely billiard pool table.

This is one of these delightful hotels in Holland, whereby you feel continuously pampered by the super friendly staff. Where you can eat really delicious food with a large choice and variety. Good coffe, the best in North of Netherlands. I had drink more coffee, and this is the best, with color, smell and terrific taste.

The heating in our room wasn't working properly, and the toilet seat was very loose. When we reported this, they took appropriate action. This was perfectly fine. The service was also polite and friendly. However, dinner in the restaurant was definitely not good. Basic dishes were already quite expensive, and you had to order vegetables and potatoes or fries. Great pool, spacious room. I have stayed here before and always had a great time. I had the luxury of having the indoor pool to myself - Awesome!! Good breakfast but would have liked a warm veg option such as beans or mushrooms. The room was big and spacious with a comfortable bed. The only area for improvement was the peeling paint outside on the balcony. Some TLC needed there.

I tried to alter my booking dates through Expedia's website, was informed by their Bot that it'd all been taken care of. Didn't receive the promised confirmation email so called the hotel to check and it hadn't happened at all. Thank you so much to the guy at the hotel for re-arranging everything so perfectly, otherwise we'd have turned up without a reservation. Next time we'll book with the hotel...

The outside environment is beautiful, the room is clean and tidy, the room size is not very large, but the basic equipment is complete. The hotel is located in the forest, self-driving is more convenient, and it is suitable for vacation travel.

Not available heating system while the outside temperature is minus something?!? Apart from this unbelievable and very annoying thing, other stuff was fine.

Good hotel if you're on a business trip to UT, right in front of bus stop. 10-15mins to city center. Can be quite noisy at night if there's a road work nearby

Appropriate location for persons visiting the Univ of Twente campus. Layout of the hotel at the entrance not well organised or indicated. Nearly missed two visitors coming to meet us.

Beautiful location and rooms were spacious

The price is not maching with this property. I was expecting much more clean and tidy. Furnitures are used alot and old.

There was no cleaning service for 6 days. They just changed the towels and trash can.

I booked this room for an academic conference. The room was very clean, and the hotel being located right inside the University of Twente was incredibly convenient. The breakfast was also excellent, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic and welcoming.

Very good hotel. Staff very hospitable. Only the cleaning (bedding and toilet) was not good for such a class hotel. The bath towels were very thin, not hotel quality. Tip: change the above and you will score excellently.
