Ideal hotel if you need to be at the AFAS stadium. Great hotel room, but missed a balcony. Unfortunately, dinner could not be taken in the hotel yet. This will open soon. Breakfast and bar are. But you can eat in the all you can eat restaurant which is next to the hotel.

Great treatment, with kind a professional personnel at the front desk. Excellent location as well.

We did the 5 courses dinner along with the wine pairing and were very satisfied. The sommelier was knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. The scallops with the beurre blanc is a dish I will remember for a long time!

Had an amazing stay there. Booked the suite with a 3-course dinner. Perfect room with perfect food. Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bath.

This was the best Restaurant and B&B experience I had so far. The room was super comfy and everything was very functional. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was a blast. The food was awesome and the service super friendly, charming and very good educated about food and wine. When I am in Alkmaar again I will definitely stay and eat here. Love this place

Pretty good ,hotel. That means no WiFi. Or no reception maybe present but nobody has reception. For breakfast, a little more creative mind is allowed in the business, if you count 12 euros, you can spend 5 euros on purchasing per person, so it's best to give it a go. The service was excellent the owner was welcoming and friendly. He helped us with our painters and bicycles and offered bike parking which was very important for us. Very friendly & helpful staff. We enjoyed a complimentary coffee before leaving on our cycle trip to Texel .

The atmosphere is right here... Friendly service, nice comfort rooms (nr13) and a very reasonable price in the high season. The room was very clean and modernly furnished. The bathroom had a window and a jacuzzi. Only the toilet was very cramped. The hotel is very noisy. Nevertheless 5 stars because of the relationship between price and performance.

Nice staff and then the location, location, location! The extra charge for the room was worth it, we were still too big for the beds and the bathroom :). The breakfast times were all generous, with dog no problem.

Breakfast was very tasty. The rooms are clean and advanced, the Staffel is friendly and speaks netherlandish, german and english. The bathroom also has a rain shower, I liked it very much.

I love the concept of the Blooming Hotel and would love to stay there again. The interior design is creative, fresh and light. Hotel team at both the reception and in the restaurant seemed stressed, as if they had too much to do. Staff and service at this hotel is excellent, unfortunately the rooms are a bit dated and my room which was within the main building of this hotel was uncomfortably warm (even with the window open in early June).

I can’t imagine a better stay anywhere seaside in the Netherlands! The owners, Harald & Helen, are fabulous. It is evident that they have an eye for detail and hospitality. Extremely small room with bizarre lighting scheme. Bed was comfortable but pillows were horrendous. Very nice breakfast. Outdoor street parking was available. Strangely, the establishment failed to provide an invoice upon checkout. I followed up with three emails and ultimately had to call the 'manager' to get it. Nice people, great bed, perfect breakfast, overall a really good experience. Only downside is that the rooms are quite small and because the shower is not enclosed in a private bathroom the room gets damp if you take a long shower.

Bed too soft This was good, but sleeping was not easy. The bed is too soft. This is an old building totally fresh inside the room and modern, but still there are windows with a single glass. So in winter it's better to keep the warm airco, which is also a little bit noisy if you do like to sleep in silence.

It’s a cold, drafty building with some strange electrical setups: in order to keep the heat on the bathroom light had to be on all night. It’s a little hard to walk around the hotel because of the layout.

The hotel is located in Alkmaar, a beautiful city not far from Amsterdam. You can walk there from the main station, only 10 minutes. The hotel is based in a renovated school, which makes it very interesting with its own appeal. The front staff was very nice and even recommended us restaurants in the vicinity, plus provided us with a map. The breakfast was delicious!

A warm and personal welcome. It is very homely and has a cozy atmosphere. Rich breakfast, good menu for dinner. Only downside is the size of the toilet (only in the single room???). For tall people it is difficult to close the toilet door, knees against the door.

We had very quiet and clean room. Hotel is in beautiful location, people work there are very nice, breakfast is tasty. Late check in is possible. Would be nice to have some safe place inside to store sport bicycles, especially when it's raining :) but maybe it's rare case We liked this place, thank you :)

Awesome hotel in Alkmaar! The service was excellent, great coffee, cake and then a full big breakfast! Our room was beautiful right on a canal. Believe there are three rooms right on the canal level. You should definitely stay here, I will be coming back.

We stayed two nights in Alkmaar with Tamara. Super cute house with a great location right on the canal and a few minutes walk into town. We'll definitely be back.

It was my second time in Alkmaar and even my second time staying at Tamara‘s place. She is very, very friendly. The house is very close to the heart of Alkmaar and very clean. I would defenitely recommend staying here! :)

Tamara's house is well-situated close to the station and at acceptable distances from the different places we wanted to see by train or on bikes (Texel/ Edam-Marken/ Harlem/ Zaanse Schans...). Tamara is a very caring person, who we had interesting conversations with and whose breakfast, enjoyed in the lovely backyard; we hignly recommend!

Great location, cozy space, friendly hosts.

I stayed here for 4 months. The room was perfect, landlords were really kind and welcomed me warmly! The rent was the cheaper that I found, and the quality was here. I totally recommend it.
