We did the 5 courses dinner along with the wine pairing and were very satisfied. The sommelier was knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. The scallops with the beurre blanc is a dish I will remember for a long time!

Had an amazing stay there. Booked the suite with a 3-course dinner. Perfect room with perfect food. Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bath.

This was the best Restaurant and B&B experience I had so far. The room was super comfy and everything was very functional. I had dinner in the restaurant and it was a blast. The food was awesome and the service super friendly, charming and very good educated about food and wine. When I am in Alkmaar again I will definitely stay and eat here. Love this place

Perfect location close to the beach, breakfast was good (value for money), room was small but comfortable with sunny balcony overviewing the dunes. With parking plate (€5 night) of the hotel you can stay at public parking

We stayed in the 'studio' , which is located outside the hotel in the Dunes next to a private ljving. It was a nice place to stay. When people also staying at the apartment above the studio, you can hear them walking and even when they are using the coffee machine. The staff of the Hotel was very nice and friendly. Pretty good ,hotel. That means no WiFi. Or no reception maybe present but nobody has reception. For breakfast, a little more creative mind is allowed in the business, if you count 12 euros, you can spend 5 euros on purchasing per person, so it's best to give it a go. The service was excellent the owner was welcoming and friendly. He helped us with our painters and bicycles and offered bike parking which was very important for us. Very friendly & helpful staff. We enjoyed a complimentary coffee before leaving on our cycle trip to Texel .

The atmosphere is right here... Friendly service, nice comfort rooms (nr13) and a very reasonable price in the high season. The room was very clean and modernly furnished. The bathroom had a window and a jacuzzi. Only the toilet was very cramped. The hotel is very noisy. Nevertheless 5 stars because of the relationship between price and performance.

Nice staff and then the location, location, location! The extra charge for the room was worth it, we were still too big for the beds and the bathroom :). The breakfast times were all generous, with dog no problem.

Staff and service at this hotel is excellent, unfortunately the rooms are a bit dated and my room which was within the main building of this hotel was uncomfortably warm (even with the window open in early June).

Nice people, great bed, perfect breakfast, overall a really good experience. Only downside is that the rooms are quite small and because the shower is not enclosed in a private bathroom the room gets damp if you take a long shower.

Good quality hotel with adequate breakfast. The rooms are not overly modern and -common in the Netherlands- not oversized bathrooms. However, one is usually not coming here to stay indoors, but go to the beach. Short walks to the two primary beach access walkways.

Bed too soft This was good, but sleeping was not easy. The bed is too soft. This is an old building totally fresh inside the room and modern, but still there are windows with a single glass. So in winter it's better to keep the warm airco, which is also a little bit noisy if you do like to sleep in silence.

It’s a cold, drafty building with some strange electrical setups: in order to keep the heat on the bathroom light had to be on all night. It’s a little hard to walk around the hotel because of the layout.

The hotel is located in Alkmaar, a beautiful city not far from Amsterdam. You can walk there from the main station, only 10 minutes. The hotel is based in a renovated school, which makes it very interesting with its own appeal. The front staff was very nice and even recommended us restaurants in the vicinity, plus provided us with a map. The breakfast was delicious!

We had very quiet and clean room. Hotel is in beautiful location, people work there are very nice, breakfast is tasty. Late check in is possible. Awesome hotel in Alkmaar! The service was excellent, great coffee, cake and then a full big breakfast! Our room was beautiful right on a canal. Believe there are three rooms right on the canal level. You should definitely stay here, I will be coming back.
