Hotel Stad en Land in Alkmaar

Perfect place, the receptionist is very nice, showed me and my friends where every attraction is located in the city with a cup of coffee, showed us the rooms and welcomed us very warmly. I would visit again. :)

Since I thought I will have checkin later than 11AM it wasn't worth the money for me since I came at 9PM

Great experience staying here! Really nice staff and receptionist. This was the hotel package provided by Liquicity Festival and we enjoyed how close it was to Alkmaar station for our shuttle. And the buffet breakfast fully recharged me, thank you!!!

Stayed 4 nights during the Liquicity Festival in July 2025, arrived thursday afternoon and left monday morning as part of a Hotel Package that was sold on the Liquicity website for accomodations instead of camping on the festival site, for a price of 650€. The Check-in was relatively fast, and the manager (a man) gave us every info that we needed in order to get to the train station and join the shuttle bus for the festival, he was very helpful!

For 2, the room was well enough, with 2 single beds but pushed close together. The mattresses were way softer than expected, but it was very comfy ! There also was a fridge for us to use but it didn’t seem like it was working, though we didn’t need it so it was not really important.

The bathroom was nice, though it can become a bit messy with the water going everywhere while you shower because there is no real dedicated shower space (toilet, sink and shower are all in the same small room). There is a special broom to swipe the water, we had to use it but it’s not really that bad. I think a simple shower curtain could help a bit with that.

The breakfast, at 13€ per person, is a nice buffet with ham, fried eggs, cheese, pancakes, coffee, jams, fruit juices, salmon, multiple breads… a nice mix of sweet and salty ! It had everything we needed and was quite tasty for us ! You have to book it the day before for the next morning so that they know for how many people to cook and prepare.

Finally, the other manager (this time a woman) was very kind, funny and cheerful, and was really nice to speak with. Full of positivity, she made us start the day in a good mood ! And do not worry, we will not forget you !

If they do the Hotel Package again, we will be back next year for Liquicity 2026 for sure ! 🙂

Staying for the fourth time (alternating with Hotel Alkmaar Grand) in the past two decades. This hotel has not changed much, except expanding within and outside premises in the same location (Stationweg) right opposite to Train and Bus Station. Rooms got modernized more. Room with balcony is excellent. Breakfast spread is very good (8-10 AM). Very courteous staff (Zhanna is very good and so are, Sander and Andrew). Suggestions: Pls add a coffee pot (Hot Water Kettle, Coffee & Tea Sachets, Sucre’ etc), which does not cost much. Also, providing print outs for Boarding Passes for departing guests, will be a good will gesture.

Perfect spot! Across from the train station. Is like a little downtown Alkmaar. You have everything close to you. Will never forget how amazing the staff (owners) were to me, friendly and helpful. My room was cozy, the only thing was that they didn’t have an AC, maybe things have changed since then. I still have the shampoo and conditioner 🤣🤣 just as a reminder of my stay there. Should have taken more pics but I do have one of the window. Will never forget that trip 🥰❤️🫰🏼

The service was excellent the owner was welcoming and friendly. He helped us with our painters and bicycles and offered bike parking which was very important for us. Very friendly & helpful staff.

We enjoyed a complimentary coffee before leaving on our cycle trip to Texel .

Service is great, it's very close to the intercity train station. Room was very clean, just one feedback since it's a split bed it wasn't very comfortable
