This so-called hotel is an absolute disaster. We were planning to stay for 3 nights and as we arrived to this place we found a disgusting and dirty bathroom (particularly the shower), very old and heavily used furniture as well as a broken bed standing on only two of its feet it had left and dirtstripes on most of the walls.
Since we booked on booking.com there was no chance to get a refund, so we left after two horrible nights and decided to stay away from this horribly equipped and filthy place for good.
We still had a great time in Haarlem though, just make sure you avoid this place and don’t fall for its seemingly low prices…

1. Room is small
2. Location has nothing nearby
3. Housekeeping not attentive to replace shower gel & shampoo for 2 days & have to request

One star is even too much for the Zoute Inval. We are very very disappointed and we will never gonna come back here again. We wanted to celebrate 2 peoples 50th birthday, which their ruined because they are stupid. I’ve called them 3 times to make sure we wanted gourmet for dinner and to let them know I didn’t receive any confirmation. We went there. They wanted to put us on the bar when we are with 2 babies, an old grandma and a woman with leg problem when we also told them on the phone. Anyways after a talk they gave as a low table. We played bowling. Then we went straight to the restaurant for gourmet because we told them we want to eat this for dinner. The staff on the reception was very unfriendly and the girls were with very big mouths when it’s their fault. In the end they wanted us to pay for everything which didn’t happen, because we didn’t consume anything else than drinks and played bawling. At the end after a whole fight with the stupid staff we didn’t pay for everything but everything we only consumed.
We for sure are very very disappointed from the whole organisation and especially the staff. We are never coming back here again!

Great place to stay on business travel. Welcoming and polite staff, willing to take time to answer your questions. Breakfast is nice, nothing super fancy but you'll definitely find something appetizing to your palate. I found the restaurant (the fancier one of the two) serviceable but perhaps underwhelming. Diverse options for dining can be found nearby, but not within walking distance.
Rental bikes are an option, about 18€ a day.
One interesting aspect of staying here is needing to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave the premises. Initially a little annoying versus keycards, but I can appreciate the tradition. Physical room keys are valuable to the hotel in a way cards are not. It's also interesting to see the occupancy state of the hotel with a glance at the keys stored behind the front desk.
If you get a room with a low number(e.g. 101-103), you may be very near a linen room where the cleaning staff can create a fair bit of noise doing their job during the day. Not a issue for me but worth considering if you are sensitive.

I was looking for a place to stay with a car in April, as I was going to see the tulip fields. This place won me over with its free parking and the price per night (not cheap, but not as expensive as in Amsterdam itself).
The hotel isn't great, but it isn't bad either. It's perfectly normal—the rooms are a bit tired, but the plumbing in the bathroom is brand new. It fits the "you're away all day and come back in the evening to spend the night and shower" formula. In my room, there was a lantern shining through the window, but this problem was solved with blackout curtains. Overall, I'd probably return here in the future if I ever travel around the country by car again, as there are very few other options that offer free or inexpensive parking.
There's a train station about a 15-minute walk away, but we weren't able to use it. Staying here is much more convenient if you travel by car.

The hotel was well located, check'in easily done and friendly welcome.
The room was big enough for two persons, comfortable and well equiped.
I really appreciated the breakfast where I found everything I was hoping.

I stayed here for 2 nights with a friend to watch the formula one race weekend. From start to finish the facilities and staff were amazing, completely accommodating and extremely polite and helpful. Credit to the hotel for this. The food was great. Their breakfast buffet was one of the best selections I’ve ever had and I’ve stayed in many great hotels. The evening meals were faultless. The hotel even gave transfers to the train station and back for the F1. I didn’t know what to expect when we booked here but I was extremely happy with the place. I would definitely stay here again if I were to watch the Dutch GP again.

We chose to stay here because it had a free car park and the reviews were positive. It was exactly as described (spacious and plenty of parks), and the room (comfort twin) was exactly as portrayed in the photos for our room type. Thank you for that very important accuracy on the booking site. The room was a perfect size for our short stay. Everything in it was as it should be - the shower was so great that hubby was tempted to have another close after the last one! The bed was comfy, bedding great with the split bed. The service was excellent and friendly and always someone on the front desk when needed. We cannot fault this place for anything - thank you for a very pleasant stay.
